Vintage Six Pointed Star Doll Quilt, multicolored, made in 1955/56
This auction is for a vintage six pointed star doll quilt made in 1955/56. It measures 20" X 19" There is overall fading due to the age but no tears or holes. It includes paperwork from the Washington State Historical Society. During the 1980 the Washington State Historical Society documented hundreds of quilts. This is one of them. The quilt was made by Euphemia Ellen Evans Seeley Howard. The quilt is in good condition except for the fading. This is a wonderful piece of history.

Vintage 8 pt star block quilt-Dk Green/Gold--walnut hull dyed backing-70x80"
It is a shame that someone did not think enough of this old quilt to protect it. I t was f ound in an attic. Folded and the sun has faded part of it. No one ever bound it either. The top has some good blocks in it that could be used for framing. You can see some of them has the faded places on them but the majority of them are good. The backing was walnut hull d ye d and most of it is gone. It was hand pieced and has very nice hand quilting. It has ol d brown cotton batting. This is a local West Tenn. attic find. Hope whoever buys this will give it the love it deserves. Beautiful colors in this old quilt. All items I sell are vintage and will reflect that condition. VINTAGE LONE STAR QUILT
This is a nice 1940's lone star quilt. Good mix of solid and print cottons and a few feedsacks. Lots of color. Still quite vibrant, reds are bright, cheddars are sharp. The diamonds are hand pieced and every other row is hand quilted along two sides. The rest of the quilt is hand quilted in lines 1" apart. 7spi. The front of the quilt isnt a common green. Not chartruese, more of a pea soup green or yellowish green? Backing is peach cotton. Batting is cotton. A seperate thin peach binding was hand cut and closed by hand. No wear to the binding or any of the fabrics. Very clean, just a few pin head spots here and there. ANTIQUE VINTAGE BABY CHILDS STAR QUILT, ANTIQUE DOLL QUILT
This is an antique baby quilt with a sort of 8 point star design. It is 29" by 38" and is string tied. Because it is string tied rather than quilted to the back it is lumpy and a little out of shape. Other than that it is in pretty good condition with one small 1" open seam. It has not been cleaned and has general soiling and a light stain. Both for the vintage fabrics but also for the newspaper that the strips of fabric are se wn on. The paper is clearly dated. Dec. 22 1935. The articles and photos are fascinating. There are comics. This beautiful vintage woven coverlet from the 1930s has been in hiding for a very long time and needs to be seen. Formerly held in a collection and kept in ideal storage conditions this one emerges in superb vintage condition. Nice and clean with the exception of one spot that can be seen in the last photo. Nothing to stop you from enjoying this one. The striking pattern is full of tiny little details that make it most appealing to the eye. The paper tag on one corner is a sale tag from long ago. This coverlet has no sign of a makers tag. The overall size is 78 X 94 inches. This is a very well made and light weight cotton coverlet. Hard to tell which side is the best as it views nicely on both sides. The scalloped border is nicely finished with a square knot type stitched edge. Fine design detailing in the pattern. CONDITION: Just a few ... morethread pulls that are hard to fnd and one spot that looks removable on one corner to worry about. Otherwise. It is in great condition and very soft and strong. It does not appear to have been used much. There are no rips, tears or areas of wear to note. Nice uniform consistency overall with no evidence of thinning or weakness in the fibers. The colors are uniform. The condition of the fabrics is excellent. There is a no odor to this coverlet and it does not appear to have been exposed to smoke. Pets or abuse. Please note that the top and backing are a uniform yellow color which is a deeper yellow in person than what I was able to capture despite several attempts. not touched up at all) I am not a expert on quilts. But I believe this to be an older quilt; the batting is quite thin as I have seen in other older quilts; it is quilted by hand and has lots of it. Vintage Amish Handmade Lone Star Quilt Cutter- Folder ~ Front Porch Worthy! If you like the shabby- country look. this quilt may be for you! We have a soft antique LONE STAR QUILT purchased years ago from an Amish estate sale. This striking quilt does show some signs of wear and a bit of deterioration. So we are classifying it as a cutter or folder quilt. There are no holes or missing fabric; but it's not perfect. It is hand-quilted and machine stitched around the quilt perimiter and boats a nice combination of old fabrics which are probably from the 1930's- 40's. The batting is thin and there is outling quilting and straight line quilting throughout the quilt at about 7 stitches per inch. It measures about 88" x 91" The edges of this binding are frayed in places. But could easily be replaced if this is of concern to ... moreyou. There is also a section along the edge where some of the cross-hatch stitching has deteriorated a bit. In addition, there is some yellowing of the creamy white fabric, but a nice bath should brighten this quilt right up. I've taken LOTS of photos. please ENJOY and bid accordingly. Up for auction is a vintage hand stitched quilt that measures a large 86" x 68" The four colorful stars are made of red. Orange and beige cotton pieces. I have shown in the pictures that the beige fabric is the part of the quilt that is torn. You can also see that the edge of the quilt have major wear. The overall background is white(off white) and the back of the quilt is also a white(off white) cotton fabric which is good condition. There are one or two small spots on the front. Antique vintage 4 Point Star Crazy quilt feedsacks
Four Point Star vintage quilt. 68" x 81" in size. The solid color stars are surrounded by crazy patchwork blocks in floral and novelty prints and solids. Lilac color sashings. The backside is a light peach. Salmon, or pink color I think. It looks a little bit faded in one area. This is not real noticeable. The yellow blocks in 3 corners have some light brown stain that was probably on the fabric when the quilt was made. Otherwise in good condition. A lot of feedsack prints are used on the front. Other fabrics are cotton.

14.00 Here is a wonderful hand pieced and hand quilted antique to vintage Le Moyne patterned quilt. The quilting is intricate and lovely done in tiny stitches of approximately 9 stitches per inch. The fabric is cotton in solid colors of pale green and peach on a natural background and with natural backing. The fabric is in strong condition and would be near perfect if it were not for some areas of discoloration. There are lines and an almost perfect 16 by 16 inch square of light tan discoloration. As well as some pinkish discoloration in areas. I do not know if these can be removed, as I am not an expert in this area. I will leave that to the winning bidder. Pinks, purples, yellow, blues and more are framed in a lovely lavender. A large variety of beautiful novelty cotton prints make a wonderful combination. The back is muslin and a green binding has been applied. The hand-quilting measures 10-12 stitches per inch. Simply divine! Measures 82 x 62. And hand-quilted. Vintage Star Quilt - hand pieced, quilted - Cutter - repurpose or use in stack
This is an old quilt measuring 68" wide by 80" long. It contains 20 hand pieced stars. All using plain fabrics, and each star measuring 14 1/2" point to point and then appliqued(can't tell if it is machine applique or very fine handwork) onto a white muslin square measuring 15 X 15" Each square is divided by a 2" wide strip of pink fabric and they have used red squares at the corners. It has survived many launderings, and served its purpose well and long and is ready for a new life. Of the 20 star squares. 14 are in good shape with no wear to the fabric- the six squares in which they used the yellow fabric are all worn thru on that yellow fabric.it didn't hold up well. They still, however, would make great shabby appliques onto a pillow etc. You can see this wear to the yellow in the pictures. I see 3 tiny ... morespots which will probably come out, and there are two holes- one on each side close to the edge. There is a cut about 4" through the border on the foot end and a smaller similar tear or cut close to the corner(abt 2" on the pillow end. There is also some light staining but it is not very visible.one or two. All that being said. It would display well in a stack of vintage quilts, would repurpose into some great pillows etc OR put a little repair into on the binding and edge and use in your lake cottages. I detect no odors. This is a really pretty quilt- not an antique but one of those done back in the 60s- 80s when'country' was just beginning to come into its own and one of those that was hand quilted overseas(probably indonesia) for resale here in the States. There is hand quilting and looks like it is hand pieced. The quilting is about 5 stitches per inch. The stars are strip pieced- made of half inch strips stitched together in shades of green. Blue and/or red and then placed on white fabric- the squares measure 11 X 11" and there are 20 of them- five down and four across. They are separated by 2" wide hunter green fabric strips with red squares at each corner. There is a 8" border on the side and 10" borders on the top and bottom. CONCERNS: Not a lot- the last 3 pictures with my fingers in them are pointing to some tiny spots ... morewhere the seam needs to be restitched with a couple stitches and the last picture shows an area on the top border where the white stitching is a little loose but still attached. It has been laundered a few times but I don't see fading. I see no spots or stains- the backing is an off white cotton fabric and it is filled with fiberfill. A nice quilt to fold in your quilt cabinet. Foot of the bed, on the back of a couch or to repurpose. Still a lot of service left here. It is clean and I detect no odors. Dark and Sultry SPIDERWEB STAR Antique Vintage Quilt ~ Full of MEN'S SUIT FABRIC
The only way to describe this beauty is dark. Sultry and stunning! Spiderweb stars make up this quilt design. Loaded with a huge assortment of men's suit fabrics, gabardines and wool blends. The colors are rich and dark in shades of ebony blacks, midnight navy blues, dark purples, golden olives, and earthy browns and tans. The back is a heavy off white cotton. Hand tied with thick yarn in a variety of shades. Just gorgeous! Measures 78" x 78" This is a heavy quilt. The front of quilt is in perfect condition! Nothing to report! BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE STAR QUILT TOP -FEEDSACKS
7–Beautiful Vintage STAR? Pattern Quilt Top. It is hand-pieced squares but sewn together with a machine. It is pieced using various patterns and colors of cotton fabrics-a lot appear to be feedsack fabric-and measures 78 x 90 inches. There are no holes but along the edges some of the stitches have come loose in few places. There are some storage spots along the edge–and a few spots near the center and scattered over the quilt top All these spots are due to sorage and I am sure will soak out. The workmanship on the piecing of the star is very good and on the white is good. I sold this quilt top last month and it was returned. The complaint was that the white fabric used was several different shades of white and appeared to maybe towel fabric. I cannot see the shadeing on the white fabric but it is old and has been stored for years and maybe ... morehas changed colors in some areas-the white fabris IS heavier than some but this quilt top is old and people used what they had to make them-this is not a quilt top that all the fabric was bought in a store to assemble. Vintage quilt top - blue and white star pattern - spool border - quilting marks
What a neat old quilt top this is. Done in plain blue and plain white cotton in a star pattern with a great spool border that is 4" wide. It measures 67" wide and 82" long- it is displayed on a queen sized bed to give you an idea of its size. There are about 3 places where it has come apart on the seam(see the last 3 pictures) a little and this is a very quick and easy fix with needle and thread. It is all machine pieced and in the white squares the maker had laid her quilting pattern in dots- looks like it is done with blue tailoring chalk and should easily soak out if you choose. This came out of my neighbor's estate having been passed to her from an old aunt- it is from around the 30s- 40s I think. There are no stains or spots or holes and the border is nice and straight. The blue stars measure about 8 1/2" and ... morethe squares are 10 1/2" across. Ready to be quilted or repurposed into pillows or something else. It is clean- been stored- I detect no odors. Vintage PERIWINKLE STAR Feedsack Quilt, Peach Backing
CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This vintage quilt is all cotton& measures 54" by 84" overall. Half sections are shown. To see the details better. It's probably from the 1930's, has a nice assortment of feedsack fabric. The main color is pink, the backing is peach. There is light pink binding, that was hand sewn with tiny stitches. The squares are about 5" across. There is a 2.25" white border& then a 2.5" pink border all around. The quilting appears machine sewn. There is thin batting, the quilt lays flat. There are some faded lines or areas, with no other flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. Priority shipping is $16.00 and I'm always glad to combine shipping. An assortment of gorgeous novelty prints and solids make a great combination. The back is muslin and pink binding brings it all together. Simply beautiful! Measures 76" x 69" Hand- quilted. Nice and thick. I saw about 12 popped seams. Nothing major. On front several light stains that seem to blend in. And on the back there are some light stains scattered here and there. LOVELY VINTAGE APPLIQUE QUILT STAR & LILY BUD
I am a big fan of any kind of star quilt and this star and lily bud is very unusual and quite striking. Each block has a pink 8 point star center with 4 lily buds radiating out from the points. There are 12 blocks and they are framed with a purple border from the same cotton used in the lily buds. The stars and the lilies are hand appliqued with nice small stitches. The body of the quilt is hand quilted in 1" diamonds. 9spi. Each star poiint has double rows of quilting through it. Purple border has a cable pattern and the white border is hand quilted in diagnol lines. 8spi. Backing is white cotton. Batting is thin cotton. White binding is hand closed. The quilt has been well cared for. It has nice texture, its clean and free of wear on the front. There is a small area of damage on the back side. There is a faint grey smudge. Doesnt show ... morein the close up, and in that area there are two small surface layer darns. I think the stain could be treated with a degreaser like Dawn but backside stains don't bother me and none of this area shows through to the front. Also at this area there is a small nibble in the binding. Please refer to the last pic and enlarge it, i overlooked this area in my first round of photos because it isnt prominent. Measures 76" x 88"

Vintage Yellow/Red/Green Star Pattern Cotton QUILT TOP Excellent Condition
Here is a beautiful quilt top- cotton fabric of red. Green and yellow with a star block pattern. The pictures do not present the colors as brilliant as they are. I have a new camera and am getting used to it! The yellow is not faded as the pictures seem to portray. The yellow is a"daffodil" yellow. The piecing is excellent with great points and corners. It is machine pieced. No tears or defects. It has never been washed and the fabric has good body to it. It measures 79 inches wide by 97 inches long. Each block is 14 inches square and the striped border of red and green strips is 9 inches wide. I purchased this top at an antique shop and am downsizing some of my quilt inventory. Up for auction is a vintage hand pieced and hand sewn 8 point star quilt. The body of the quilt is in pretty nice condition. The top edge and the bottom edge is really worn. The side edges have some wear, but nothing like the top and bottom. I'm listing this as a cutter quilt, but I think it could be easily repaired. It is pink, white and multicolored on top and the bottom is white. It measures 62 inches wide and 75 inches long and is displayed on a queen size bed. 23 vintage pieced and appliqued star quilt blocks 1930's era
Fun group of 23 star quilt blocks from the 1930's. Came from an Iowa estate auction Stars were pieced by machine and hand appliqued to 11 3/4" square pieces of cream color cotton. They were basted to the cotton before being appliqued and basting stitches are still there. Blocks have never been used or laundered. Some of the blocks have faint storage soil which a light soak will surely make short work of Applique work was quite nicely done in black thread I ship Mondays. Vintage Blazing Star or Broken Star pattern quilt top is hand-pieced using coloful fabrics which I believe are a cotton blend. The fill-in blocks are white. This quilt top measures approx. 96 x 102 inches. I did not notice any damage but the piecing is not the best. The stitches are large and the top does not lay flat like it should. The main problem areas are where the white fabrics were joined to the colored design. Also there are some brownish spots which are only noticeable on the white fabrics. Antique Vintage Primitive BLAZING STAR Quilt Block a.k.a. SUNFLOWER or SUNBURST also called NOONDAY. c.1860-80 CIVIL WAR ERA or earlier. This was bought from a Lancaster County. Pennsylvania antique dealer in the 1990's. Size: The quilt block is approx. 13.5 inches square or 19" on point. The Blazing Star circle is 10 inches across and the Chrome Yellow center circle is 4.5 inches across. The 16 WHITE diamonds are 2.5" long. This pattern is difficult to piece and it is beautifully sewn by HAND very precisely by an expert. Color: POISON GREEN is the 13.5" background block. After the CHROME YELLOW center of the STAR. There are 8 half diamonds of COPPER TONED/MADDER alternating with 8 Madder Brown and White criss-cross cotton print half diamonds. The large diamonds are WHITE with teeny black Dots.
