Very nice quilt that measures 54 x 38 inches and is in very good used condition with no stains or holes.there is about a 2 inch spot on the edge where the seam has come undone. Very nice combination of colors that include a salmon pink solid and a blue and pink rose print. Antique / Vintage CHURN DASH Hand Made Patchwork Cotton Tied Quilt 77" X 88"
This Auction is for A Very Pretty Vintage Churn Dash Quilt. Measures approx. 77 inches X 88 inches. A great number of the blocks in this quilt are late 1800's hand pieced blocks with some vintage blocks to make it this large. The block are connected together with a very pretty cinnamon pink cotton chambray. The backing is a unassuming check patterned cotton print. Within the quilt there is a very thick layer of cotton quilt batting(this quilt will keep you warm) Quilt was then hand tied. No rips or noted tears. Some of the antique blocks have dark brownish stains that are probably very old. I am noting several yellow spots that don't appear to be old stains. All of these are shown in pictures. Please note I have not taken the time to launder this piece. I am selling this quilt as I found it at auction very recently. I'm guessing ... morethis quilt was being restored and will only need cleaning. Fabric is very strong and will hold up to cleaning for sure. Please refer to pictures for further details. Spectacular stitching and wonderful embroidery. this one is medium weight, hand tied, 70"x 90" hand pieced silks and wool, there is a little moth nipping on a few patches but excellent otherwise, underside has a few patches and one small hole along the edge. Pictures were taken under bright light to show detail and/or any damage, quilt is darker and richer than shown. weighs about 8 pounds. Payment is appreciated within 5 days. Hi. This is a 79" square, heavy, handmade crazy quilt. This is done on both sides. Block pattern, some with more defined strips, some just shapes. Is feather stitched, and also hand knotted. This has lots of tears, and shredded pieces. I am not sure how old this is. Came out of the attic at an estate. I didn't find any stains, but it is a very busy pattern. Boxed, this weighs 12 pounds. Antique Wool 9 patch hand tied quilt 68" x 88" red blue black flannel back heavy
9 patch quilt made from red. Blue and black wools. It measures 68" x 88" The back is a blue flannel. It has been hand tied with red string. There are some blue wool pieces that do have some damage with moth holes. If you notice in the pictures there is a black and white print that borders three sides while a grayish black borders the other side. There are 6 blue squares that have some damage with 2 having quite a bit of damage. There is also a mended place on the black with white stripped piece, see picture. The back has no holes or tears. This comes fresh from an estate in Iowa. Where I have acquired many antique quilts I will be listing this week. This quilt is truly gorgeous- a colorful and richly vibrant selection of quilt pieces in every size and shape. Some pieces also have been embroidered; there are a couple of pictures showing them. Some of the velvet pieces are worn- perhaps already worn when they were used, ... moreas 98% of the rest of the pieces are thick and soft as new. The pieces have been hand sewn together, then each has been outlined by a zig-zag stitch. The quilt is made with thick batting. This quilt has been very well cared for, and I could find no stains. Additionally, there are no rips, tears or holes, no frays and no wear spots(other than the velvets noted above) All of the colors are still crisp and vibrant. The backing is yellow-gold cotton that has been hand tied in rows to the front with brown yarn. The quilt pieces are turned under at the edges to create a hem on all four sides of the backing. This is a substantial quilt, in museum-quality condition! This quilt was lovingly made with great care and has survived in near mint condition. It measures 73 inches by 82 inches. Beautiful vintage satin hand tied and machine stiched rose quilt in dark pink. Cream, purple, sea foam green, blue, and apricot with light pink binding and lining. Good vintage condition, clean but holes in satin binding and sating lining underneath(please see picture) some machine stitching is loosening, hand stiching in binding corners missing. Antique Vtg Victorian Wool Patchwork Quilt 67 x 85 Plaid Backing Hand Tied Yarn
This is a beautiful. Heavy Victorian wool quilt that is pieced in a staggaered tile pattern and tied with colorful wool yarns. The wool pieces on the face of the quilt include dark blue suiting remnants and a lighter blue heather woven wool. The backing is a blue woven plaid cotton. I don't know what filling is used inside the quilt, but it is quite heavy. There is also a protective piece of Victorian cotton print fabric encasing one end of the quilt. Many older comforters have protective end covers like this that were periodically changed. I've left this cover on because it is in relatively good condition and is made of such a charming vintage cotton print fabric. The new owner may or may not be interested in removing this end cover. The quilt measures 67" x 85. This quilt came from NE Ohio where there are many Amish. Mennonite ... moreand other rural groups with Germanic heritage. The maker is unknown, but the quilt is typical of Germanic-made comforters made in this area. It is in gently used condition with a few minor spots. And a couple of very small holes. Turn of the Century Antique Handmade Hand Tied Pinwheel Quilt 77"X86" Excellent
This Auction is for An Early Turn of the Century Handmade Quilt. Measures approx. 77 inches X 86 inches. Hand tied pinwheel pattern. Topper made from a wide array of prints from this time period. Backing is a very pretty printed cotton. Condition is excellent. Appears to have never been used or laundered. Fabric is still very crisp. There are no rips or tears. There is some yellowing in a few places. I just know that this one will wash up very nicely. Patches entirely pieced together with close hand stitching then tied. This quilt is quite heavy with several layers of batting and will surely keep you warm. Rarely do you find these oldies in such remarkable condition. Antique Crazy Quilt Cotton 75" x 60" Hand Tied Multi Color
Well. I did it again, I have 5 more quilts recently purchased at an antique sale and am listing them here. This antique Crazy Quilt is in great condition considering it's age. I have not found torn pieces but this is an old quilt with a lot of very small intricate detail for even a crazy quilts. There are no major stains but there is a darker spot on the back in 2 small areas. See photo's for detail. I can provide additional photo's if you message me through Ebay. It measures about 64" x 75" It has a crazy quilt hand embroidered feather stitching on one side and lots of pastel colors in the Churn Dash pattern on the other side. Vintage home made Hand tied sewn Fabric block Puffy quilt
This measures 58" by 39" It is too small for a twin size bed; the pictures were taken on a Queen size bed. To give you a size indication. So, this might work for a crib or a lap robe. I did not see any holes when I was taking the pictures, but I just found one now when I was double-checking it for this description. It is in the yellow part of the seam, not very big. I don't see any other holes. There is not much staining or discoloration either, maybe just a couple more spots that were not included in the pictures. This one has more quilting fill than the other two that I have listed. I am not sure how old this is; it came from an estate. Note how the twisted yarns around the seams are the same two colors that are tied in the middle of the quilt.

Vintage 1920s -30’s Cabin Patchwork Hand Sewn Stitched Tied Quilt 68" x 81" Wool
This is a wonderful vintage cabin quilt dating somewhere into the 1920’s possibly early 1930’s. It is hand stitched and tied with blue yarn. The quilt has wonderful hand sewn patch’s together with what appears to be flannel backing in small red and green squares. This quilt is very heavy and would look fantastic on any type of bed but really cool in a rustic environment. The quilt has an wonderful assortment of patches. The fabrics are wool, flannel and assortments of cottons. All the squares are solid colors and other than the floral cotton trim at the top of the quilt which has a worn spot( I have taken a picture of the area for you) The quilt is in very good condition with just some minor very. Very small holes on some of the patches. The quilt has held together remarkably well over the years it is still very sturdy, there is no fading ... moreand the cloth is far from being rotten. The quilt has been stored in a trunk so you may want to have it dry cleaned or hand washed. It has a very faint odor of moth balls nothing that is overwhelming. Here is a very old antique hand stitched crazy quilt. Done in mostly wools. It is 64"x74" It was hand pieced together, then laid over what appears to be a homemade wool batting, and also a wool blanket, I think. then it was tied with black yarn. the fabrics are wool and some other heavy duty fabrics some plaids and soldids, and I think they are also wool. I did get this one years ago at a Amish farm auction in Lancaster co. Pa. So I am guessing since it was there it was done by a Amish lady years ago. MY guess is it was done before there was central heat in the homes. This one will keep you warm, and it's heavy about 5lbs. No due to the age it does have some issues. But as you can in photos they are mainly along the edges. so it could be used or repaired.the main body is in good shape, just the edges and the binding. There is ... moreno damage on item. Rare antique HAND PIECED & TIED COVERLET QUILT 68X82". Complex, fabric loss
I believe this is very old. There is fabric loss to some of the fabrics on both sides. Please see pictures. NO returns(note condition items below typical for such a beautiful very old 1800s unrestored coverlet/quilt! and see photos to address what this item is(I am not a quilt expert) I threw this on a bed to take pictures. And almost changed my mind about selling it. This is beautiful, interesting, and intricate pattern(let me know if you know what it is called; perhaps pinwheel? and hand-sewn and tied(not quilted per se, meaning that stitches don't go through the coverlet) I believe it is very old, maybe even Civil War or just after. Those of you who know how to date fabrics will know. These are all cottons, and came from clothing I think. Tiny hand-sewn stitches, thousands of them. I have taken pictures of representative areas of the ... morefabrics where there is loss. Also, some of the blue background fabric has fading, which is probably common for such a rich blue. Also, one corner fabric area is'missing'see photos. This must have been stored, or at least, kept out of sunlight generally. Many of the fabrics do not show much/any fading. Vintage SATIN Patchwork Quilt Hand Tied - 94 X 112 KING SIZE Needs TLC
This colorful vintage quilt was made with all satin fabrics. It was pieced by machine and tied by hand. The edges were finished by hand in red yarn. There 480 squares and of those about 10 need to be replaced and a few seams need to be closed. Due to the type of batting. It is the newer type not cotton, I think it was probably made in the 1950's or 60's. Most of the quilt is in good condition. The backing is blue and white flannel with some yellowing at the edges. It is clean and odor free, it is 94 by 112 inches.

Vintage Pieced Quilt 78" x 55" Great material. These quilts were made from whatever fabric was available. Were used primarily for warmth. They were not made for beauty. They were made to be used. Very light weight batting, if any batting at all. I think the fabric is mid century. I believe it is machine pieced. Please see my other antique/ vintage quilt listings.

COLORFUL 1950's / 60's Vintage Patchwork Hand Tied Quilt - 64 X 81"
This bright and colorful quilt was made of 1950's or 60's types of vintage fabrics. They include cotton knits. Rayon and poly fabrics. There is probably a cotton blanket inside, they were often used in quilts from this era. In the closeup of the red poly backing a rooster print can be seen show though from the inside. The quilt was pieced by machine, hand tied with pink string and the bindings were stitched down by hand. It is clean, odor free and 64 by 81 inches.

ANTIQUE HAND STITCHED AND TIED QUILT, FAN PATTERN
ANTIQUE HAND STITCHED AND TIED QUILT. FAN PATTERN- 70" x 84" mostly hand stitched then tied fan pattern quilt. Has aqua cotton fabric as a background for each block and calico backing. Inside probably cotton batting because this was made before polyester batting came along. Each quilt square is made up of five round edged'fan blades' flour sack and calico fabrics. They were stitched together by hand then the fans were machine sewn to the aqua backing squares. The backing was hand stitched to the front then hand tied throughout. This beautiful quilt looks to have been made in the early to mid 20th century(1930's-60's) and is in very good condition. It is clean and there are no holes. Stains or rips. Someone took very good care of this throughout all these years. It came from a central Wisconsin estate auction. 6lbs. ... morenet.
