It measures ... more82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. Vintage Antique Log Cabin Quilt Hand Pieced Beautiful Colors
Here we have a beautiful log cabin quilt with wonderful colors and a stunning pattern. I think the it dates to the teens or twenties. The fabrics are all light weight wools and cotton prints. It measures app. 80" x 82" overall. The pieces are all hand sewn and it has not been top quilted. The backing is a great paisley print and it feels like there is no batting inside. There are several tiny holes throughout the quilt. I have photographed the worst damage. The quilt is still vis ually stunning. The s titch ing is strong and it is holding together well. FABULOUS Vintage Gold-Yellow Trim WEDDING RING Quilt Lovely Fabrics Hand Pc Qltd
This DIVINE Vintage WEDDING RING Quilt is done in Classic Pastel Brights fabrics that serve as the piecework and an ivory-cream muslin that serves as the base cloth and backing All-cotton 1920's-40's prints are primarily florals with a handful of stripes. Plaids, checks, solids and geometrics thrown in for good measure. The quilt is hand-pieced and hand-quilted. Quilting was done at 7 spi in the forms of outline, a horizontal line dissecting all pieces in the ovals, a grid at the junctions of the circles, a double-leaf with a circle in the center on the oval pieces, and a large double circular flower with four half-triangles and four leaves. The gold binding was applied by hand. The quilt measures 75" xx 64" and has thin cotton batting. Only a handful of blemishes to be found.They include a couple pinhead-size specks of ... morerust, one rust spot the size of a pencil-tip-eraser, a 1.5" x.3" cluster of light spots, a 1.5" streak along a seam and four VERY light spots the size of a quarter or more. There is some overall irregular light yellowing throughout and there are two ovals that appear a little darker than the others.one is in the center and one is on a corner. The quilt backing also has some light irregular yellowing throughout along with a 1.5" square rust area, two nickel-size rust areas, a one-inch square rust are and a pinhead-size spot. The spots are not dark. There is no wear evident. I am not certain of the age of this WONDERFUL quilt.anytime 1930's-40's is likely. LOVELY 1940'S ANTIQUE DRUNKARDS PATH QUILT, HAND PIECED, HAND QUILTED 10SPI
Here is a great 1940's drunkard's path quilt in peach green with a light cheddar backing. All hand pieced and also hand quilted with tiny stitches. 10 ttiny spi. I have been told that this is a very hard pattern to piece due to the curves in each block. This one is very well done. Its in very good condition with just a couple of small spots on the front and one spot on the backing. Besides being entirely hand pieced every piece is hand quilted around its interior. 10spi. All cotton fabrics with a thin cotton batting The cheddar backing is just a few shades darker than the peach. Very complimentary. Its finished with a hand closed pencil thin binding. Absolutely free of wear. The only flaws on this quilt are the few match head size spots that are shown. It measures 72" x 84" and is shown on a full bed. The top side looks very good with no marks or stains. The bottom has a few light spots. I have not washed this quilt. I will leave that to the buyers discretion. The colors are slightly pastel and the blue and yellow are a great combination. Of course there are many other colors. Please take a close look. It is completely hand sewn of great early fabrics, lots of nice browns, as well as a bit of purple and red calicos. I especially like the binding fabric, which is a wonderful chocolate brown and cornflower blue diamond pattern, I've never seen that particular fabric before. This great old doll quilt measures about 17 1/2" long and 14" wide and is in nice antique condition, with no holes or rips, a bit of light staining on a couple of the light squares on the front, and a few brown spots on the back. There is also one tiny area on the binding where the blue did not print, which was in the printing of the fabric, but in no way detracts from the piece. Some sun damage(faded lines where it was folded) and a couple of minors stain is most of the evident wear. The front is immaculate- no staining. No rips and no tears/holes. Really in GREAT shape- heirloom worthy piece! The colors of the piece are vibrant- there are lots of bright velvets and some satin. Plenty of fancy stitching. There is written"1893" in stitching on one little panel. Plenty of names of people who contributed to the quilt. Navy blue and red with birds leaves and geometric medallion designs. It is a medium or heavy weight winter quilt. The quilt top is in excellent condition, I noticed just a couple of small faint spots. The back has some repairs around the edge. The repairs are machine stitched and it looks as though it was done before the back was put on. Up for Auction is a beautiful. Estate sale find, antique quilt. Measures approximately 84 x 98(Queen/King) with cotton batting. Blue binding around perimeter. Impeccably hand stitched paisley/floral feed sack patterns in a Dresden plate fan fashion. Heavy quilting adds a cozy weight to the quilt. It’s in excellent condition considering its age. No stains in front or back with the exception of a fade color crease from being folded and stored. Otherwise it’s tightly stitched and very clean and bright. From a smoke free home. I have sold mountains of lace and quilts in my business but this is the first quilt I have ever found with a patchwork or applied hand lace pieced top. The quilt is machined quilted along the edge. Please keep in mind that the first sewing machine was made in from the mid to late 1800's. Then the the lace applied stitching is done by hand and carries thru to the back of the muslin. I have taken a ton of photos and they tell the story here. May be one of a kind. The lace has been done with an ecru thread. Lots of leaves and bars. Hours upon hours of work on the quilt then the lace. If you collect antique textiles this would make for a great addition to any lace or quilt collection. This is in good to excellent condition. I am showing a few spots where the lace ... moreneeds a little tacking and then you have some spotting to the deep red. I also noticed some darker spots on the folds. Some times they packed items in with tissue or in cardboard. Few scattered black spots on the surface of the lace. I know there is a lot to see her and read but this is so unusual. I am selling a few of my favorite things this week. This is one of them. Well worth the start bid. Measures 68" by 68" No batting that I can feel, muslin is quilted to the deep Victorian red fabric. Pennsylvania estate find, this is a vintage 1926 hand crafted four block crazy quilt that measures 71" by 75" In excellent aged condition, I found no tears or broken stitching(see my last pic for the single hole present) The time and workmanship that went into the making of this impressive quilt is beyond my imagination. From the feel of the quilt, it has a batting material between the front and back surfaces. The materials in the quilt appear to be various cottons and wools. EARLY MARYLAND HAND QUILTED PATCHWORK QUILT C. 1840'S-50'S (90"X 90") VG COND.
Offered for sale is an exquisite early hand pieced and beautifully hand quilted 90" x 90" quilt made in Maryland between the 1840's- 50's. As you can see from the pictures. This quilt was cherished, and the colors are very vivid and the blocks are pristine. The only issue it has is it's beautiful paisley border where some parts are starting to melt due to the dyes that were used at that time. Unfortunately, that is often typical for quilts of this age. The backing is off-white muslin, also in very good condition, and you can really see all of the lovely quilting when you turn it over. It is a large size, probably made to hang over the sides of a double bed. Would make a stunning wall piece or look great on a bed or on the back of a sofa. Buyer pays shipping& insurance. CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This antique quilt measures 62" by 74" has some type of square pattern. It may have been made prior to the 1930's. As the fabrics appear older, with regard to color. Quarter sections are shown, to see the details better. The binding is blue& was machine sewn. The hand quilting was done at an even 10-12 spi. The main color is a dusty pink, there are 8" squares. The back is off-white. Most of the fabric is cotton, but there are some that are something else. It has thin cotton batting. It has been washed& lays flat. There are no flaws seen. But there could be something small missed. There are no odors. Priority shipping is $16.00 and I'm always glad to combine shipping. If shipping is much less. I will refund some of the postage. 150 Vintage 1920/30's Improved 4-Patch Quilt Block Pieces I just found these tucked away in my closet. And they made me smile: There are so many and all the work of cutting and piecing is done for you. They are hand-sewn in all kinds of colors and prints representative of that era. You won't fnd these on a shelf at your local Target! They measure approx. 4-1/2" square from the widest point; and if you cut off the"arms" The 4-patch would be about 2-3/4" square. I also found a piece of purple fabric that I assume could be used as a template for the space between the 4-patches. I've never put this pattern together? All clean and pressed. They are ready to go. I found only about half a dozen age-related spots and small stains on the pieces, and didnt notice any odor. If you have any questions. Some of the indigo fabrics look like Stifel but there are no"boots" to be seen on the reverse. Most fabrics are early twentieth or late nineteenth century. My friend who built this, his name was Herb, he was really a great friend and perfectionist! The entire chest was Hand Built. All the wood was sawed by hand and hand nailed and the stain was applied by hand with a old horse brush. The craftsmanship on this is truly stunning and completely square. Every board is 100% even and all the nails were hammered with precise thought. The dimensions on this are as follows: 36" long x 22" tall x 21 1/2" deep. All of the pine boards are exactly 3/4" thick. This quilt includes so many embroideries. Appliques, pleated fans and hand painted items. This is a treasure trove of needlework It is mostly in good condition with a few fraying spots and break down of certain fabric and paint. It has been backed more recently with a satin type fabric. This does not draw away from the beauty of this piece. It has in fact helped to preserve it. Vintage feedsack crib quilt hand quilted has wear 1930's era Double Nine Patch
Sweet. Vintage Double Nine Patch crib quilt from the 1930's made mostly of feed sack cotton. It measures 38 x 42" and is hand quilted Batting is thin. Backing is white cotton. Hand quilted in squares at 4 to 5"up" stitches to the inch. Most of the fabric is feedsack cotton including a cute novelty print of a mother cat and kittens. Quilt has been used and is faded. No stains. No holes all the way thru. Binding edges are worn. See one small 9 patch square where fabric has worn away to the batting and one large double nine patch square in a corner where a lot has worn to the batting- see second to last photo. Antique/Vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden Hand Stitched Handmade 82"x80" Quilt
Up fo r auction is this wonderful Vintage/Antique hand stitched/handmade quilt. The quilt is done in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It measures 82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. 1930s SWEET PASTELS/GREEN hand quilted quilt-$75.00
This is a very charming quilt filled with wonderful pastel calicos. Florals, small and large) checks, stripes, tiny elephants, and etc. The colors are light forest green sashing, and light powder pink cornerstones. It measures 64” X 89” Its beautifully hand pieced and quilted in a grid pattern throughout at 1” intervals. The stitching is top quality at 9-10 stitches per inch. I’m sure this abundance of quilting is what has held this charmer together for so long. Its been loved a lot. I’d say about one third of the nine patches are worn. A couple of the nine patches have the fabric gone. see photos) Its very cleans and smells good. Its thin. Very soft and cuddly. The back is off white with 2 pea stains and faint age line(see photos) The only wear I see on the back is a small tear(see photo) I see this quilt as a cuddler quilt, display quilt ... moreor an excellent cutter quilt. It could be cut into smaller lap quilts. I just couldn’t cut it apart-was hoping someone would want to use it as is. Asking just $75.00. no reserve. Comes from a smoke free, pet free environment. Antique Vintage Hand Sewn Quilt Folk
60"x64" I am not an expert on quilts but this looks all hand pieced. There are a few small tears that are shown. I Would fix them but I don't want to ruin it. The tears are along the seams. I think the back of the quilt is burlap. Looks like some of the fabric is feedsack. The patterned fabric looks to be from the 1920s. Comes from a non smoking home. Posted with

IT HAS BEEN IN A CEDAR CHEST FOR 50 YEARS AND DOES NOT APPEAR TO HAVE HAD MUCH USE BEFORE THAT. IT IS HAND TIED. HAND STITCHED. THE BATTING MAY BE HAND-COMBED WOOL.IT IS LUMPY AND SOFT FEELS MUCH LIKE WOOL BUT.I CAN NOT SAY FOR SURE. IT HAS A MUSLIN MOUSTACHE PROTECTOR ON THE TOP EDGE THAT HAS VERY SLIGHT WEAR. IT MEASURES APPROX; 62 X 72 1/2" I HAVE NOT HAD IT APPRAISED BUT IT HAS BEEN VIEWED BY SEVERAL QUILTERS, AND RESEARCHED IN QUILT SITES ON THE INTERNET. IN MY HUMBLE OPINION IT MEASURES UP WELL TO MUSEUM QUALITY QUILTS. IT IS IN REMARKABLE CONDITION, FRESH AND BRIGHT COLORS.NO HOLES, TEARS, I HAVE ONLY FOUND A COUPLE OF LOOSE THREADS. 3 HEART HANGERS from 1880s CRAZY QUILT~LOVELY HAND PAINTING~VINTAGE TURTLE PIN~
Offered is a set of three(3) heart hangers I've made from a beautiful 1880s crazy quilt. I've chosen some beautiful hand painted and whimsical hand embroidered scenes with a"summer" feel to them. Each heart measures approximately 8 inches wide by about 7 inches tall. And has a black satin ribbon hanger.they are each firmly plumped with new premium filberfil. The backs of the hearts are from the same crazy quilt, and just as beautiful! There are two(2) hearts that have exceptional and detailed hand painting.these ladies that lived over 130 years ago were so very talented! To the heart with the detailed hand painted heron I've tacked on a hang tag that reads"Summertime and the Livin' is Easy" This can easily be snipped off if it is not to your liking. To the other heart with the exquisite hand painted water ... morelily. I've added a vintage little turtle pin. He is sitting on a lily pad, also hand painted, and slowly making his way to the flower! This turtle has a light brown enameled textured shell and sparkly green rhinestone eyes. His head, feet, and tail are a gold tone metal. This darling pin measures about 1.5 inches by 1 inch, and is not signed. If you'd like to set the turtle free, you can remove it and wear it yourself, or give as a gift! The third heart is the detailed hand embroidered froggie on the lily pad with another frog jumping into the pond.so cute! These three hearts will surely make you smile and think of summer! Although I try very hard to use only the best areas of my cutter textiles. There might be some slight surface wear, but I will always let you know of any major issues. Top has been stitched to paper ~ both old newspapers and what appears to be brown paper bags. Quilt top has several issues. stitching coming apart in mulitple areas. Some holes/ tears, missing edging and some spots. This is a wonderful piece for someone who treasures the time that went into it many. Many years ago, and someone who loves challenges! Although fabrics appear pretty strong, I consider this top to be quite fragile overall. Each square- not including the red edging- measures approximately 10-1/2" square. Vintage Silk & Satin patchwork Quilt top on muslin- some top hand crazy stitches
VINTAGE Textile patchwork Silk& Satin Quilt Measures approx.73” x 85” Each square started as 12" but is now 11 1/2" Some top hand embroidery(feather stitch) but not as much as a true crazy quilt.Wonderful vivid colors. This came straight from an estate sale so I have not washed or ironed this piece especially since it is mostly made of silks& satin. Many vintage pieces of satin. And other fancy silks that were so popular in the late Victorian era have been treasured and preserved. Many of the silk fabrics used in quilts are weighted with mineral salts and other substances. This means the fabrics have been coated with, or have actually absorbed, these substances to give them more weight and a stiffer texture. Unfortunately, weighting substances also speed up the fabric's deterioration. Silk is extremely susceptible to ... morelight damage. Which can be seen in brittleness, splits, and the eventual powdering of the yarns. Sometimes, even though a piece of silk may appear in perfect condition, it can be extremely fragile. Dust and dirt can do a great deal of harm to silk quilts, as can wet cleaning and dry cleaning. Dust, and especially dirt, can actually cut fibers as they expand and contract with changes in temperature and humidity Please examine photos for more details. Please read before you bid. The large quality sewn quilt top measures approx. 73 x 85 inches and is in good condition except for a some f rays around the edges. The Antique Log Cabin design quilt top is in good condition considering the age. There are a few frayed spots on one side of the quilt that looks like the silk has dis ine grated and a hole on the edge of the backing. Otherwise is really in good condition. The pattern has so much going on and the colors are put together with precision. The high quality silk fabric pieces are m eticulously hand sewn to sturdy linen flour sack material.
