Ideal for reproduction or wonderful used as a decorative textile for any timeworn interior! This textile is an antique French Provencal quilt ~ this textile is two sided the red back side is a wonderful pairing of two fabrics manufactured later than the front ~ The neutral browns side of this textile are wonderfully early dating from c1800-1820~ most likely printed at the Jouy factory ~ this textile has a Fenetre composition in which one fabric is bordered by another. This is the most complicated piecework tradition to Provencal quilts. The autumnal tones on the front side of this quilt are simply stunning ~ The central square was printed using hand carved wooden blocks and is one piece of fabric, rather than being pieced. This side is bordered using a wonderful block printed over-dyed cotton. The central square may have been produced as a scarf and later used to create this amazing textile. The border of the central square is an extraordinary printed piece with wonderful vermicular design on the sides. These fabrics are called called Ramoneur and were woodblock printed. These fabrics can not be exposed to water without risk of extreme damage to the fabrics as the mordants that were used to print these textiles were corrosive with time ~ so this textile is not suitable for water washing ~ The opposite side I would date to c1850-1860. Ibanez has always been known for their fast thin necks. This one is just.74" deep at the 5th fret. The neck is satin finished from Ibanez with gloss starting just before the headstock. Add to this the nearly flat fingerboard radius and you have a fantastic player. The look is very cool- fully bound with offset dot inlays. This early turkey red and cottage white woven coverlet was bought at an Amish estate sale in Berks County. Pennsylvania. It is about 85"x99" in size not including the dense 4" turkey red fringe on three of the coverlets sides. I have examined it several times and I did not find and soiling or thinning- it is heavy and absolutely gorgeous. There are eagles with outstretched wings, shields, arrows, florals, and more in this reversible coverlet. Please view all photos. Handling fee is $4 which includes insurance. Exceptional Mid 19th C. Red & Green Applique Quilt Top No Reserve
A wonderful mid 19th C. hand applique quilt top. Recently found in Pennsylvania. The colors& hand applique are absolutely incredible. Clearly the work of a talented seamstress. The applique work is done at 10-11 stitches per inch. The quilt blocks still retain quite vibrant coloration with only very slight fading. This is a very desirable pattern and the red and green are just so striking and in lovely condition for a 150 + year old quilt. Antique Hand Made Red White Quilt 64x82" 1920's As Is
I have for auction a wonderful old quilt from the early 1900'3. It displays an interesting pattern all done in bright red on white; stitching on this quilt is superb; measures approx. 82x64" it is very worn but still lovely. Came to me along with the old red camp blanket I have presently on Ebay. Red must have been a favorite color in that household. It would have taken months to accomplish all of the hand stitching on this quilt; for its age it is still in reasonable condition although it is very worn down to the batting; nevertheless an interesting old piece of the conniseur of quilts or the collector. PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FADING ON THE QUILT ~ IN SOME OF PICS IT LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE BIT OF FADING BUT IT'S IN MY DIGITAL. A white-out. GUARANTEED. ALSO. WHAT YOU SEE PEEKING OUT ALONG SIDE OF QUILT IS FRINGE ON A RUG THAT WAS UNDERNEATH THE QUILT. Fab T-Square(T is for temperance ~ women didn't have a voice in the 1880's but could sure speak out in their handwork) antique quilt, 68" square(perfect for hanging or for a twin bed or back of a chair, etc. from Spartanburg County, S.C. all the bells and whistles of a Southern textile village"Sunday best" quilt right down to the stitching, which is in the Southern traditional"ocean waves. In favored red and white calicos, all by hand, 2 interesting little cutout appliques in the sashing. Binding is in plaid fabric(Alamance Plaid? and there are several little"nips" ... moreor"bites" in the binding, not really noticeable unless you're looking for them- in one of the pics you'll see one I'm holding. Quilt is all cotton, all by hand. Backing is a tiny black or deep navy and white check, it's hard to tell which; and there is a very small fragile place not far off center in back that has"rubbed" away, showing us the wonderful cotton from the fields that was used for batting. On front I found 2 tannish small stains(see pics) ~ backing has several tannish stains which I couldn't pick up on the digital ~ all of the above I'm 99% sure could be removed with a good soaking in the proper product or, if you choose not to, hardly noticeable because of the graphic nature of the quilt. And that, my friends, tells what I know of the story of this so-graphic and beautiful piece of Southern folk art. The red is true red color. the background is a creamy white. There are 12 blocks of stars. The quilt measures 77-1/2 X 67. Condition: I can't find much wrong with this quilt outside of a faded fold line down the center& a few very small spots or light stains. I have sold mountains of lace and quilts in my business but this is the first quilt I have ever found with a patchwork or applied hand lace pieced top. The quilt is machined quilted along the edge. Please keep in mind that the first sewing machine was made in from the mid to late 1800's. Then the the lace applied stitching is done by hand and carries thru to the back of the muslin. I have taken a ton of photos and they tell the story here. May be one of a kind. The lace has been done with an ecru thread. Lots of leaves and bars. Hours upon hours of work on the quilt then the lace. If you collect antique textiles this would make for a great addition to any lace or quilt collection. This is in good to excellent condition. I am showing a few spots where the lace ... moreneeds a little tacking and then you have some spotting to the deep red. I also noticed some darker spots on the folds. Some times they packed items in with tissue or in cardboard. Few scattered black spots on the surface of the lace. I know there is a lot to see her and read but this is so unusual. Miss the old version of this page? everything on one long page. hpwae. Orgeous version of the President's Wreath block? Check! Lush quilting in fine outlines. Triple rods and delicate orange peel? Check! Gutsy oversized sawtooth border for plenty of drama? Check! Wonderfully graphic pieced sashing setting? Check! Amazing original condition with Turkey Red and overdyed green so vibrant and pristine it's probably never been washed? Check! No matter how long your list. This stunning circa 1860's President's Wreath quilt really does tick all the boxes. In terms of workmanship, good looks and deep appeal it wants for nothing. As for condition. The only real asterisk is that something stained it(apparently while stored and neatly folded in quarters) in four places along the binding and adjacent borders. This is only a minor distraction, ... moremost visible on the reverse and would probably lift if you preferred to professionally launder it. I chose to leave it exactly as found because the original condition of that subtly patterned green is such a rare treat, I felt it outweighed perfectly white bindings! The quilt was found in an Atlanta estate without further provenance. Size The quilt measures about 76 x 80 inches. The grand blocks are about 20 inches square and the vines are 1/2 inch wide or less with the little yellow reverse appliqué centers 1/2 to 3/4 inch across. The sashing is about 3 inches wide and those big half-square triangles along top and bottom are about 7 inches square. Quilting The hand-quilting reaches really fabulous stitch counts. But varies quite a bit as if a novice quiltmaker were being allowed to contribute. I count 5-10 little stitches to the inch. Counting on the top side of the quilt only. The appliqué motifs are outlined and inset-outlined and then the entire background of each block is prettily covered with a dainty orange-peel treatment. Bold and spectacular ca 1900 patchwork red & white star quilt, 7 SPI
Offered here without reserve is this bold and graphic ca 1900 patchwork star quilt that measures 79 1/2" x 71 1/2" and quilted at 7 SPI. The red is solid and unfaded. Nor are there any repairs to this piece. Indeed, I suspect from its suppleness, that she's never been washed. However, although there are no holes, repairs, or tears, there is s ome subtle staining(loo ks to me to be water staining. Definitely not blood) and thus she could use a cleaning(see my last 4 pictures) But again, though, there is no reserve, although buyer pays $16 for priority USPS domestic shipping.

Vtg Handmade Jointed Teddy Bear from a Red & Yellow Antique Quilt, One of a Kind
This wonderful bear is made from a VERY old quilt. I'm told the quilt is likely from the mid-1800's. Based on the colors used and the wear to the quilt. The bear, however, was made and sold in the mid-1980's at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. It was sold by a well-known dealer. Unfortunately, I have a bad memory and can't remember who that was. Yes, I'm embarrassed! The dealer who sold it to me knew so much about all the important dealers I was a bit dazed! Still, you may know more than I do and if you want to offer information I would be happy to share it. So. Let's rely on the photos for the best description of the bear- He is well made with jointed arms and legs but the quilt was clearly worn out and so found its best purpose as a teddy where it can still be loved. He has nice, shaped, button eyes and ... morean embroidered nose and mouth on the well-placed muzzle. His arms and legs move freely and he sits very well. His ears are nicely shaped and alert. The most worn parts of the quilt are used in the least conspicuous parts of the bear so he looks great from the front and prefers to keep his back to the back of the chair, sofa or wall. He stands 17" tall at the ears(with assistance) He would look especially nice wearing a bow around his neck but I wanted him to appear here au natur el and let you choose to dress him as you wish! VINTAGE/ANTIQUE RED WHITE & BLUE PATCHWORK QUILT- 62"x80" - HANDMADE in MISSOURI
This is an auction for a VINTAGE/ANTIQUE RED WHITE& BLUE PATCHWORK QUILT- 62"x80" HANDMADE in MISSOURI. The majority of the 3 1/2" finished blocks are made of vintage cotton fabrics mainly red. White, blue in color- but there are a few blocks of greens, yellows. browns also in the quilt. The backing& edging are done in white cotton and the filling appears to be a white flannel(lightweight) The quilt is EXTREMELY OLD. Although I do not know the exact date of when it was made. It was my grandmother-in-law's quilt and she was born in 1901. My husband remembers her having this quilt& just knows that it something that she made. And obviously lovingly used. She lived her entire life in the"Lead Belt" area of the state of Missouri, south of St. Louis. This quilt is completely hand quilted. But finished in ... morea machine stitched binding. The quilt is NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION. There are some stains. Some tears& rips, some missing binding on the edges. The back side is not in as good of condition as the front side. As some of the back fabric is well- worn and has deteriorated. I'm guessing that is why there appears to be an 8 1/2" binding( on one end of the quilt- maybe to reinforce the back side where the fabric was damaged. But why she would also put it across the front side I don't understand. Maybe it was meant to designate the head of the bed where the pillows were to lie on top. I'm not sure- the quilt blocks underneath that strip do not appear to be damaged. A mystery that will never be solved, as Grandma died years ago, before I had the quilt and could ask questions from her. There are no musty smells and it has always been in pet-free. Smoke-free homes. Check the pictures carefully to see where I have tried to picture some of the damages. I have not made any attempt to repair or clean it. 1996 U S A Ernie Ball MUSICMAN AXIS Awesome Red Quilt Top Bird's Eye Maple Neck THIS AUCTION IS FOR MY EXCELLENT CONDITION 1996 Ernie Ball Music Man Axis with Quilted Red Top and Matching Headstock. The serial number 88846 should bring this rare find to the end of 1996. Why is this important? I'll tell you why- MusicMan First Launched the Axis in 1996. Which was right after Eddie Van Halen took the rights to his EVH Signature away from MusicMan. This is a really rare find indeed because this Axis is not only in Excellent Condition going on 17 years old, but it has a hard tail bridge. Very, Very Rare, indeed. This guitar is in Excellent Condition. This has a Bird's Eye Maple Neck which is very clean. Usually. These necks get blackened and gooked up from playing. Not this one! Clean, Clean! Look at the photos. They show an Axis ... moreworthy of a museum display. There is NO BUCKLE RASH on the rear body and not even any light playing scratches. I have to wonder if this guitar was played much in 16 years. It is in Amazing Condition. There are two photos above with a pen tip. They show tiny scratches that are on this guitar. You can see just how minimal we are talking. If you get up close and personal and start angling this one into a bright light, you will find some other very minor blemishes. You could, in fact, hang this guitar on a wall of new guitars in a shop and no one would question it. It is very clean and glossy. Ebay allows 12 photos so I put the ones I believe best represent this Axis. That thin, light scratch next to the neck pickup above with a pen is the worst blemish on this one. Early Red and White Pieced Quilt - 10 Hand Stitches per Inch
You are bidding on an early pieced red and white quilt. It is bordered and has 10 hand stitches per inch. The pattern appears to be an Irish chain variation with some of the pieces being elliptical in shape. It measures 73 by 82 inches and the red is the early printed material. There is one tiny spot that has a few stains which I photographed. It also has a piece added to the back that if allowed it to be hung at one time. It can easily be removed. Great quilting and form on this early quilt. I don't see any holes or tears and the fabric has been washed over the years and it still has nice color. Vintage textile patchwork quilt- late 1800's family heirloom- red/black- LOOK!!
This very nice and clean quilt has been in my family since it was created. I believe it is late 1800's to early 1900's and was made from very dated early textiles. The quilt is 74" x 76" 6'2" x 6'4" and is shown displayed/covering a queen sized bed. I think this is what is called a'9 patch' or'log cabin' quilt. It is constructed of 156 squares. Red/black adjoined diamonds make each square(each square is 6" and length runs 13 squares and width runs 12 squares. I have done my best to describe this quilt. The hand quilting is superbly done in flowers, leafy stems, cobwebs, and butterflies. All of the flowers are quilted and shadow quilted. This is truly a magnificent quilt made by a master quilter. ANTIQUE OCEAN WAVES QUILT VINTAGE PRIMITIVE SHIRTINGS HAND QUILTED TURKEY RED
This is a beautiful antique. Primitive quilt. I believe it is a variation of the Ocean Waves pattern. If you know another name for it, please feel free to comment. The size is 72x76. It is pictured on a queen sized bed. It has been hand pieced and hand quilted, in a truly"make-do" fashion. Many of the triangles are, themselves, pieced. It is quilted with brown thread in single parallel lines, going the length(76" of the quilt. The quilting is utilitarian with long, widely spaced stitches, as this quilt is quite thick and heavy. It wouldn't surprise me if the"batting" is an even older worn out quilt. The fabrics are cotton. There are homespuns, shirtings and a couple of flannels. The backing is homespun. The binding was done by bringing the backing to the front and stitching it to the top. I will describe the condition ... moreas well as I can. There is some age fading of a couple of the red fabrics. There is a small paint smear on one square. There are a few repairs along some seams. There are a couple small holes in the border. It needs to be washed. These condition problems are minor. In my opinion, and do not distract from the overall impact and displayability of this quilt. The quilt and fabrics are still sturdy, and the colors are strong and vibrant. Please note. As stated above, this quilt is quite heavy. It weights 7 lbs. without box and packing) Also it is not from a non-smoking home, though I don't notice any odors.

Vintage Red & Blue Patchwork Tied Quilt - Very Soft Velour Twin / Full 60 by 70"
This vintage patchwork quilt was hand tied and was made with all very soft velour fabrics like the Vanity Fair Corp. used in their robes. It does not have batting. It does not have any worn areas but this type fabric get fine fine pilling. There is a very slightly faded square area that was cause by the way it was folded and left in the light. It is clean. Odor free and 60 by 70 inches.

An amazing early red and green honeybee applique quilt. A super large size in a lattice maze pattern. Notice the corner pieces. I love that little touch to the corners. The centers of the honeybee blocks have a neat turkey red print. It measures a generous 92 x 92 inches. Hand quilted 8 stitches per inch. The binding is hand sewn and batting is thin. Hand pieced. Some scattered age spotting and yellowing which is typical to see with these early quilts. Looks unused and possibly never washed. Circa 1850s Collected in Lancaster County Pennsylvania. The pieces blocks appear to be Lady Finger. The setting blocks featuring red heart-shaped flowers with green leaves that are appliqued. The quilt measures approximately 80" X 84" It has probably never been laundered. The back has some very light age spots. The quilting design was marked with a pencil and those marks are visible in some areas. About 1" of the cream top was not caught when the binding was attached on one corner and the batting is visible if folded back. On the back on one long side.
