It measures 69 inches by ... more69 inches. It has amazing handwork and embroidery throughout. The back is made of fabric with castle scenes on it. The back is folded over the front and sewn to make an edging. Overall it is in quite good condition for its age. I counted about 4 places on the quilt that had a small amount of wear or damage. I showed two of these areas in pictures 8 and 9. So this quilt is NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION and I am selling it in as is condition. The quilt is quite heavy weighing just under 5 pounds alone. I will always combine shipping whenever possible to make sure you spend the least amount. I use the least expensive way of shipping I can which is usually the slowest method. If you need the package sent more quickly please let me know so that I can calculate the cost and send you an updated bill. I add a 1.00 handling fee to cover shipping supplies. The backside of the quilt, although has a few holes, is in much better overall condition. Up fo r auction is this wonderful Vintage/Antique hand stitched/handmade quilt. The quilt is done in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It measures 82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. Vtg Handmade Jointed Teddy Bear from a Red & Yellow Antique Quilt, One of a Kind
This wonderful bear is made from a VERY old quilt. I'm told the quilt is likely from the mid-1800's. Based on the colors used and the wear to the quilt. The bear, however, was made and sold in the mid-1980's at the International Quilt Festival in Houston. It was sold by a well-known dealer. Unfortunately, I have a bad memory and can't remember who that was. Yes, I'm embarrassed! The dealer who sold it to me knew so much about all the important dealers I was a bit dazed! Still, you may know more than I do and if you want to offer information I would be happy to share it. So. Let's rely on the photos for the best description of the bear- He is well made with jointed arms and legs but the quilt was clearly worn out and so found its best purpose as a teddy where it can still be loved. He has nice, shaped, button eyes and ... morean embroidered nose and mouth on the well-placed muzzle. His arms and legs move freely and he sits very well. His ears are nicely shaped and alert. The most worn parts of the quilt are used in the least conspicuous parts of the bear so he looks great from the front and prefers to keep his back to the back of the chair, sofa or wall. He stands 17" tall at the ears(with assistance) He would look especially nice wearing a bow around his neck but I wanted him to appear here au natur el and let you choose to dress him as you wish! This lovely doll quilt came from an old country farmhouse in the Northeast and has been stored for many years in a pet-free, smoke-free home. Condition: Very good condition for its age. Up for auction is a very old doll quilt made of flannel or flannelette. I can just picture a mother fashioning this 14 ½ X 20 inch quilt for her little girl’s doll out of left-over flannel. One side is one whole piece of fabric and the other side is pieced in 5 sections. It is hand tied with coral colored floss. I have taken pictures indoors and out. In natural light to try to give you a true color. The background is gray with a cream print, which actually looks more ecru than cream. There are some age"shadows" more than spots, which some people say gives age character) but they are not pronounced as the print is more of an ecru color than what shows in the photos. Lovely Handmade- Early Patchwork Quilt circa 1875-1890 100% Authentic Antique Lovely. Cotton, hand made quilt- 71"x 71" Colors range from Robins-egg blue. Light pinks, lilac purple, sage green and more, set against a d elicate background of pale pink and reds. An Absolutely Beautiful combination of colors. Completely Reversible-as it is finished on both sides. The fabric on the back of the quilt consists of sweet little pink flowers. Not your usual white- It is SO PRETTY! The underside is in Super condition! I can see no signs of wear which is remarkable considering her vintage. It is a beautiful selection of fabric squares. Each with it's own distinct flavor. This quilt has a very feminine flow. The little shabby chic flowers add to her sweetness. The photos show the quilt displayed on a queen size bed. Antique Handmade 1800s BASKET OF FLOWERS Applique Quilt SIGNED Jamerson 1863
This lovely Basket of Flowers applique quilt is a lovely display with Rose of Sharon style flowers and buds. Signed in ink on the backside it reads Jamerson. 1863. It looks to have been cut down and rebound. Most likely to remove two damaged borders and preserve the best of the quilt. It would make a lovely display or cutter quilt. It has a nice quality feel to it and is clean with the ivory ground showing a perfect patina. The uneven fading of the fugitive colors makes for an interesting look that cannot be replicated. Still a usable quilt if you should decide to use it on a bed. The fabrics used are all 100% Cotton solid fabrics. The overall size is 62 X 78 inches. There are 12 blocks used in the making of the top. Each block measures 13" inches square and set on point. The white fabric is a nice off white cotton. The cotton batting ... moreis a medium weight and evenly distributed. The backing is made from a strong off white cotton muslin. It is entirely hand pieced and hand quilted by a very skilled quilter at 12 stitches per inch(counted both sides) with the applique work more finely stitched. The border is located on one side and measures 8" inches. The full hand applied binding measures just under 1/2" inch and looks to be reproduction fabrics and added sometime in the 60s- 70s. Binding is in excellent condition with no signs of wear or fading. CONDITION: This quilt is in good clean condition. It has fading and fabric thinning. No holes or tears and all the stitches are in place. Overall. It is a lovely piece. It looks as if it has been cleaned by someone who knew what they were doing and a job well done. There are no major stains or spots to be concerned about. There is no odor to this quilt and it does not appear to have been exposed to insects. Smoke, pets or abuse. Antique 1800s Handmade & Hand Quilted ROSE OF SHARON Appliqué Quilt
We are pleased to offer this Antique Folk Art Hand Made and Hand Quilted ROSE OF SHARON Appliqué Quilt circa 1850. Perhaps the most beloved block design of all is the one called"Rose of Sharon" Which has many variations. These blocks share the common feature of a traditional red, green, and white palette, so popular around 1850. So far, close to forty of these designs have been published. While Biblical scholars state that the plant, Rose of Sharon" which grows in Syria. Is not truly a rose at all, the"Rose of Sharon" quilt was often made as a bride's quilt. In floral symbology, the red rose has always stood for romantic love. In many of these bride's quilts, heart motifs were quilted onto the surface with hand quilting stitches. Treated as"best" quilts, they were used only on special occasions ... moreor not at all, which is the reason some of them have survived this long. This quilt is an Early Appliqué Rose of Sharon is hand made and hand quilted and is circa 1850. Look closely at the quilting and you will know that this quilt was not made by a novice because the appliqué pattern and quilting are very difficult to execute with precision. The quilt when held to a light has loads of cotton seeds and hulls which dates the quilt. The quilt is in excellent condition without tears or damage. The Rose of Sharon Appliqué Quilt measures 76 inches wide and 77 inches in length.

This Auction is for A Handmade Log Cabin Quilt. Measures approx. 61 inches X 73 inches. Entirely pieced together with hand stitching. Then top stitched quilted at 6-7 stitches per inch. This lovely oldie does not have any rips. Shattering or tears. I did find one spot that appears to be a color transfer near binding( shown in pictures ~ red transfer of color) Only machine work is the binding that was attached by treadle and then turned over and stitched by hand. Interior has a lofty generous amount of batting. Backing is a natural colored muslin. Please refer to pictures for further details. Quilt has not been laundered. Any questions just ask.

This is a beautiful handmade quilt in red and white cotton. The pieces are machine stitched and yarn has been pulled through to tie. The back is a very pretty raised daisy design also in cotton. There are no rips or worn spots. Material is in great condition. I tried to take a photo of every spot I could find, some are very small and didn't show up too well. This quilt has not been laundered so the spots may come out. Also, the photo shows a bright red, it is a bright red bud not as florescent as the photo, the white is very white. BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE HANDMADE CRAZY QUILT DATED 1889 WITH CASTLE FABRIC ON BACK
This is a beautiful antique crazy quilt. It is dated 1896 and the initials MJR and VAR are embroidered into the quilt as well. It measures 69 inches by 69 inches. It has amazing handwork and embroidery throughout. The back is made of fabric with castle scenes on it. The back is folded over the front and sewn to make an edging. Overall it is in quite good condition for its age. I counted about 4 places on the quilt that had a small amount of wear or damage. I showed two of these areas in pictures 8 and 9. So this quilt is NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION and I am selling it in as is condition. The quilt is quite heavy weighing just under 5 pounds alone. Handmade Applique& Heavily Quilted Rose of Sharon. This is the earliest known version of"Rose of Sharon" Circa- mid- late 19th Century. Lancaster, PA Material- 100% cotton Batting- none Binding- 1/4 inch hand sewn. Worn with some fabric loss, this is typical for a quilt of this age. Can be easily replaced with a soft white fabric. Size- 74"x 82" SPI- 7-8 Condition: Overall good for a quilt with this type of age. The losses are on the binding and some minor rust colored marks on the border. It looks like this is where the quilt was hung. Does not distract from the beauty of this lovely antique quilt. This quilt is in it's original condition and clean. We are pleased to offer this Outstanding White on White Quilt from New England Circa 1800s. The Antique Quilt is of Exceptional Quality with Heirloom Historic Like Quilting. The Best I have Ever Seen! Look for yourself as you will not see Quilting like this on any ordinary quilt. And the quilting is that of a Baltimore Album Quilt. The Antique White on White Quilt has a whole cloth front panel and on the reverse side of the quilt there are two panels with a central seam. The Antique White on White Quilt has Double Circular Feather Wreaths and is surrounded by tiny hand stitching. There is Floral White on White Quilted Baskets that are incorporated into the white on white designs. This is an antique quilt that has been handed down for five generations. I do not know the exact age but it is very old. It is a very thin quilt with teeny tiny stitches. The workmanship is outstanding and there are approx. 20 stitched per inch. Each block has be hand embroidered with various floral patterns. The quilt is in good condition with only some minor flaws. There is a yellow spot. Which we have pictured. It may come out with an oxy clean soaking. The top of the quilt shows some wear and one small place that has worn through. This Auctions is for A Early 1900's Handmade Patchwork Quilt. Wild Goose Chase Quilt" ~ Measures approx. 67 inches X 70 inches. Fabric used is red and white gingham and unbleached cotton muslin. Entire quilt was pieced together by hand with hand top stitching at 9-10 stitches per inch. There is one patch repair on side outer edge and one small repair on this quilt(shown at end of ruler) Appears to have had an outer binding attached at some point in time(binding was attached with treadle stitches) binding shows signed of wear. You are bidding on an 65" x 81" antique handmade quilt from the 1920-30's. From the research I've done. It's in the Delft Windmill or Pinwheel pattern. I'm not sure of the age. Judging from the fabric choices I would think somewhere in that time frame. This quilt is in AMAZING shape for it's age. There is very, very little discoloration or staining. I looked very closely and I don't see any rips or tears. It comes from a smoke free home of a neat freak mom: There is a bit of fading on some of the purple but not much at all. Up for bids is this remarkable handmade quilt. It is a variation of the ever-popular Flower Garden pattern. I know the top was made in Ohio c. 1930. I finished the quilt in 2010. The workmanship on the piecing and quilting is exquisite. The quilt is in pristine condition; there are no holes. Rips, tears, spots, discoloration or yellowing. The size is 82" X 92" Back of quilt is white in color. It is shown on my queen-size bed. It is 100% cotton and is from a pet- and tobacco-free environment.

VINTAGE/ANTIQUE HANDMADE INDIANA PATCHWORK SCRAPPY QUILT - TRIP AROUND THE WORLD
This is an auction for a VINTAGE/ANTIQUE HANDMADE PATCHWORK SCRAPPY MULTI-COLORED RAG QUILT. Featuring TRIP AROUND THE WORLD BLOCKS, surrounded by RECTANGULAR BLOCKS made from 2 TRIANGLES(sorry. I don't know the technical name of that pattern) The main blocks feature solid beige. Green, orange, yellow fabric. The other patches are multi-color prints. The quilt is EXTREMELY OLD. Although I do not know the exact date or history of the quilt. It appears to be made of vintage cotton fabrics on the top side. Possibly with the use of some feed sack fabrics(although no writing shows through on the fabrics) The back side appears to be made of a gray striped cotton flannel. This quilt is completely hand quilted& tacked with a blue/green thread. The quilt is in EXCELLENT CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. There are no stains. Tears, nor holes other than ... morethe one corner pictured above. There are no musty smells and it has been in a pet-free. Smoke-free home since I have had it for the last 30 years. Check the last picture carefully& you will see the one area of damage- one of the corners appears to have come loose from the original stitching. I have not made any attempt to repair it. But it simply needs to be sewn again, as there is no real tear of the fabric nor hole. I am not the original owner nor seamstress. I obtained this quilt in the early 1980's when it was donated to a church shop(in Carmel. Indiana) where I volunteered. No one knew who had donated the quilt as it was found on the steps of the shop one morning. After it was priced for sale, I purchased the quilt. Antique Vintage Handmade Hand Stitched Quilt Blanket Bear Paw Pattern Red Green! This is an antique quilt with a bear paw pattern. It is red and green in color. And the red fabric has a sort of berry pattern to it. This is very old- probably from the late 1800s or very early 1900s- and is all handmade and hand stitched. This appears to be a summer blanket, as it has very little batting and is quite thin(though not particularly thin) This measures 72" by 88" This is in good condition still. But please note that it is quite old. Some of the fabric- particularly the green fabric- is a little discolored and faded. Antique Quilt TOP Handmade TUMBLING BLOCK Great Fabrics LARGE SIZE
This beautiful antique quilt top features a stunning array of antique fabrics with many fussy cuts. It is hand pieced and in outstanding condition. This came from the same estate as the stacked brick quilt top I have listed and I believe the two were meant to go together. Both were never used and tucked away and well stored for future use. It is not often that I get one in this condition. All the fabrics are bright. Unfaded, strong and there is not evidence of exposure to soil or smoke. Only one flaw and that is a significant tear/hole on the outer indigo strip. Fortunately it is in the solid strip and should be easy to fix. The overall size is a generous 80 X 92 inches. It has been pieced by machine in nice straight and even stitches. CONDITION: This quilt top is in excellent condition. There are tears to the edge strip(see photos) The colors ... moreare uniform. The condition of the fabrics is excellent. This top has never been washed. I cannot find any discolorations. There is a no odor to this quilt top and it does not appear to have been exposed to smoke. Pets or abuse. It look as if it has been kept from exposure to sunlight. It has been very well cared for over the years. The handwork is BEAUTIFUL There are some condition issues around the edges and binding. And for that reason, I did not launder the piece. With an expert hand.
