It measures ... more82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. NICELY QUILTED Hand Stitched Vintage 30's Dresden Plate Antique Quilt! This BEAUTIFUL cotton 20's/30's dresden plate quilt is hand pieced and quilted. With beautiful vintage prints. It measures Approx 78" X 89" and is in Very Good condition. A few small, light stains. I have not tried to clean it. Smells nice and clean. The quilting is SUPERB. With quilting around the perimeter of each piece and in grid and deco/floral designs in the background, all at an even 10 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched binding are solid Whit e. Antique Vintage Hand Quilted Grandmother's Flower Garden Quilt Hand Stitched
Lovely Flower Garden Quilt is appoximately 70" by 96" Displayed on a queen size bed. First 2 pictures were taken on patio. Don't know what is on the back of quilt(as seen in pic. Almost looks like fresh blood but is not. All my quilts I am selling have been store in quilt hutch. One corner is pretty tattered as in pic. Still very pretty and shabby chic looking! I believe the majority of the 9 patch squares are feedsack with some shirting and assorted cottons. Now some of the feedsack looks really old- like the darker reds and some navy. App 80" x 68" squares measure just over 3x3 with full 9 patch square at app 10x10 I held the top up to the sunlight to search for holes and found none! There are some strings here and there that look like wrinkles in the quilt top but the wind made it so hard to get smooth photos. There is some age staining but I didn't laundered the top& it has no odor The last photo should show the back of the quilt with some hangover from the clothesline. The gray ... moresquares and border is some type of blend. Cotton& rayon, not sure. I do know that it has a sheen and has?unraveled. If I used this for a quilt I'd replace the gray. Vintage Hand Stitched Crazy Quilt Full Size 1930s 1940s
Vintage Hand Stitched Crazy Quilt- 1930s/ 1940s Size is app. 78" x 68" This vintage crazy quilt has a lovely combination of fabric prints. The interesting thing about the fabrics is that they are mostly silky satiny dress fabrics. They looks like they are from the 40's or maybe late 30s. You can just see the dresses and the hairdos swinging on the dance floor. At first glance they will look like very nice hard to find feedsack prints. But they aren't. I don't think there is a cotton in the bunch. I suspect that the fabrics are mostly rayon or a cotton blend. This is just the type of quilt that I would have kept for the guest room. A little laundering is all I'd do until it was more worn out then it would be a family heritage cutter quilt. And it's not"perfect" or"new" enough to be in"great" condition. One of those in between so that just leaves it to personal taste. I haven't laundered this quilt- it is just as I found it. Besides the gorgeous prints it has a nice pink colored backing and it is also batted but I don't know with what. The quilt is tied in black. As you can see in the photos some edges may have some wear. The quilt could use a light cleaning. There are spots here and there that need laundering but mostly around the edges. It looks like Charlie Brown's friend Linus may have dragged this puppy a bit. The type of soiling is like off a living room wooden floor. There are spots here and there that have aged and may have some toning. You may need to do just a bit of restitching on a seam or two. Quilt has thin batting with mild separation but it is not lumpy, quilt is clean from a pet and smoke free estate, I have not laundered it and there are 2 light spots that should soak out with a little oxy. Vintage 91" x 91" hand stitched sunflower quilt
Here is a large 91" x 91" hand-stitched such flower pattern quilt. Colors are much brighter than what I was able to photograph. This is a very beautiful and large hand sewn quilt. I always try to describe every item to the best of my ability and by no means want to downplay the beauty of this quilt. This is an estate item and I have not washed it since it came out the box because I did not want to ruin it by not knowing how to do this correctly. It does has a couple dark stains on the back and some faded looking discolored large stains on the back. I have tried to photograph this well so that you can judge the condition for yourself. There are 3 tears or areas where the stitching has come undone around the edges but I don't believe this would be that difficult to fix. As far as the front side. The quilt is absolutely gorgeous. ... moreI love the symmetry of the designs and the wonderful even hand stitching! The only thing I would point out(which I have also photographed) are the areas that need a little tlc such as maybe a clothes brush to remove the access"knotted" material which is probably a result of age. Once again, I have not attempted to wash the quilt and am selling it"as is" out of the estate box. I would however say that it is in overall nice condition just in need of a little tlc. It is a huge and absolutely stunning quilt to that will complement that one special room decor and I believe a treasure to that right bidder. Spectacular Antique / Vintage Hand Stitched Dresden Plate Quilt
Offered here is this gorgeous antique or early vintage hand pieced and intricately hand quilted summer weight Dresden Plate Quilt. The background and backing are white cotton. While the plates are fashioned of wonderful cotton calico in an assortment of colorful pattern’s. The border on all sides is white. The condition is good with no holes seen to the background or backing, and seventeen of the sections of the plates with some damage… ranging from miniscule to substantial fabric loss of the individual section, to put that in perspection there are nineteen sections per plate and twenty plates all together. There is some age related yellowing to the fabric. This quilt is a beauty and displays nicely. The lovely diamond quilting is done at about 7 to 8 tiny s.p.i. The measurements are approx. 90” by 74”

Up for auction is 63 quilt blocks. Pattern looks like 8 point evening star. Blocks measure approx. 7 and one fourth to 1 half both ways. Stitches are approx. 6 per inch. Very nice hand stitch work. 1920s Hand Stitched Antique or Vintage Patchwork Quilt Top
This quilt top is from the estate of my Great Aunt. It dates from some time in the 1920's and was one of the first attempts my Aunt made at quilting as a child. The stars are entirely HAND STITCHED. Ugh, I can't even imagine how many hours it must have taken to sew every one of those together! The top measures aprox. 75" X 80"It is made from some sort of muslin background and the pattern is patchwork stars. The patchwork stars were from from family clothing that was too worn out to wear anymore. Many of the pieces seem to be fraying at the edges, I suspect some time in the last 90 years that the top was washed and the edges came undone not having been quilted together yet. I'm sure a person knowledgable in quilting could repair it. There are some faint mystery stains in various places. I'm not sure if they are permanent ... morebut I don't want to risk damaging it since I don't know what I am doing. My Aunt didn't smoke so there is no smokey smell or any other type of musty mystery smells to it, it just smells like old textiles. Vintage Antique Cotton Fabric QUILT TOP Hand Sewn Stitched
I stumbled across this quilt top and thought it was so pretty. i'm Spring cleaning) I don't know much about quilts. So I'll do my best to decribe. PLEASE bear with me. I'll probably be jumping all over the place to try and explain and type things as they come in my head. Here is a vintage antique quilt top. It's in excellant vintage condition. The fabric still feels kind of crispy. It has been folded with the bright side on the inside so the colors are still pretty bright. There are afew rust spots on the front in a block or two. You really cant' see it because of the colors. I don't know if these can be removed or not. On the back side is what I think is called light storage marks? It appears to be made of old flour sacks or old material. It measures about 75x84. There are 20 blocks that measure about 12-11/16x13 ... moreinches. The strips in between are alittle over 4 inches. All the edges seem to be pretty even. It all seems to be hand stitched. I mean everything. The stiches are so nice and pretty. Whoever put this together sure took pride in making it. There isn't any holes or tears that I can see. I don't even notice any major puckering. I DIDN'T iron this so it is wrinkled. That's what you see in the pictures. If I missed anything please forgive me. I tried my best. Remember. This is just the top part. The quilt isn't done. Would make a nice project to finish. Also. This is an old quilt top. Shell, flower, lattice, circle, cable& diamond designs. I think this is a Welsh cottage industry quilt usually made by paid professionals such as miners widows or village seamstresses. Intact without tears, skillfully constructed and with its original 1940s era newspaper backing(dried and falling off, but authenticates the age of this. Close examination showed only a few very faint spotting areas, and these look like they would come clean. Colors are crisp, patterns are terrific, and there is a faint age odor that is easily removable. Measures approximately 98" by 86" I know little about quilting. But what I can see about this is the extensive use of fabrics very much of their age, from the 1930s and early 40s. Newspaper indicates this was made in the early Truman administration. Unwashed condition, with one small snag right at the edge, and no wear. There is quilting around the piecework and in straight line designs in the background. All at 4-5 stitches to the inch. The back and hand stitched. Rolled binding are the same cheery floral yellow print fabric, and the batting is thin. Whimsical conversation prints were used in places. LARGE ANTIQUE YO YO QUILT Color: Pastels of blue. Green, pink, cream, peach, blue/white& grey/white Size: 61 1/2" x 78" 80" Design: Yo Yos stitched randomly of the blue/white. Grey/white, tan/white but also there are rether defined areas of more pastel colored Yo Yos. There are 42 rows of 56 Yo Yos each yielding a total of 2352 Yo Yos! Please see the photos. Fabric: The fabric is cotton as in shirting material or feed sack fabric. Condition: This is a lovely authentic Yo Yo quilt of muted colors giving it a soft appearance. It is clean and in very good condition but needing stitching between the yo yos replaced in a few places and one yo yo might need replacing. Traditionally these quilts had no backing but were placed over other material as a decorative piece. Many of the antique quilts have a beautiful random appearance ... moresimply because materials used were rarely purchased new for that purpose.
