Antique Vintage American Primitive Hand Sewn Patchwork Quilt. Wonderful Snow Crystal Hexagon Pattern Quilt Grandmas Flower Garden.with matching pillow cover. Muslin backing. Pastel yellow. ~7 stitches per inch. Unknown age. But this belonged to my great-grandmother who was born in 1867 but I don't know when she made it or acquired it. Approximate Measurements: 92" x 70" The pillow cover measures 15" by 15" This is a beautiful vintage handstitched quilt with a hexagon honeycomb pattern. This handmade folk art quilt has over 6000 multi-colored hexagon pieces. The variety in the different flowers is amazing. So many different flower patterns and colors expertly put together. This beautiful piece has to be seen to get the true appearance much better than pictures show due to lighting conditions. It features a lovely collection ... moreof vintage fabrics. Some feed sack I think. The cotton batting is light weight and evenly distributed. Each hexagon measures 1 inch wide. The hexagons on the pillow are 3/4 inches wide. There are about 260 hexagons on the pillow case. The quality is very good with very light wear. The edge around the quilt has frayed. I showed the most extreme fraying in a picture. There are also two light purple pen marks, one of which bled through, also shown in pictures but hard to find when you are just looking at the quilt as a whole.

This vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt measures 75" x 82" It is filled with wonderful feedsack prints in an array of colors and patterns. Many pieces are"fussy cut" which showcases the patterns of the fabrics. But is rare because it wasted so much! The colors are vibrant. The trail is white and the binding and backing are pink. It is completely hand quilted at 6-7 stitches per inch. Hand pieced and bound with a 1/4" binding. All cotton. Near mint condition. There are 6 tiny pindot age spots(photo'd) No other damage. CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This vintage quilt is all cotton& measures 76" by 82" overall. Quarter sections are shown. To see the details better. The main color is teal green. There are 1.25" hexagons. All edges are scalloped, the binding was hand sewn. The quilting was hand sewn at 5-8 spi. There is thin batting. The quilt has been washed& is in excellent condition, it was probably never used. There are no flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. ANTIQUE 1930s GRANDMOTHERS FLOWER GARDEN QUILT~1600+ pcs~feedsack to start a new paragraph use- Done in lovely spring colors and trimmed in pink. This circa 1930s Grandmothers Flower Garden quilt seems perfect for the shabby cottage chic decor or for that special little girls room. It's all cotton. Including some feed sack pieces. It has a thin layer of cotton batting. Made up of 1 1/2" hegaxons. This has over 1600 pieces. It's hand quilted at 6 stitches per inch, hand stitched binding Size is 52" x 80"+/ This quilt is much too nice to be called a cutter. But it does have some damage. Of the 1600+ hexagons, there are about 50-60 pieces that are shattered. I think my count is fairly accurate, but I could have missed some, as some of it is hard to see. Four of the flowers have a round that is shattered, particularly the ... moreyellow pieces, plus there are a few pieces in other flowers that are damaged. The binding also shows wear in places. Please see the pictures(click to enlarge) as I have tried to circle the damage so you know what you are getting, as I am selling as is. Antique/Vintage Grandmothers Flower Garden Hand Stitched Handmade 82"x80" Quilt
Up fo r auction is this wonderful Vintage/Antique hand stitched/handmade quilt. The quilt is done in the grandmother’s flower garden pattern. It measures 82” by 80” The quilt is in good shape for its age. It does have some wear to the edges that could be rebound and three flower octagon blocks have some wear/damage. The backside is all white. It has a few dark browning spots. Some yellowing at one edge and one small hole that does not go through to the front. I did not try to clean or treat the quilt so the spots might be able to be taken out. This is a super nice quilt and very old. It is fresh from a local estate. GRANDMA'S FLOWER GARDEN FEED SACK QUILT from the 1930's SCALLOPED BORDER! This quilt has many different fabrics. Mostly feed sack! It is hand pieced and hand quilted using many different matching prints for the gardens seperated by white paths. The photo of the top is on a full size bed. And the back is on a Queen bed. It measures 84" x 64" Has cotton batting, a hand applied binding. The back is white, with light peach trim at the head and foot. It has been professionally laundered and has no stains or odors. Vintage Farmhouse #8 Galvanized Metal Garden Flower Watering Can w/ 2 Sprinklers
This fantastic old galvanized watering can would be great for use or just perfect for decoration. A wonderful old farmhouse collectible. I checked and it is water tight and the handle is also nice and tight. The top is marked with a#8. Holds approx one gallon. There are areas of wear and markings on this can but I think it just adds to it's character. Take a look at the pictures and ask all questions before bidding. It is 12" tall to top of handle and is 7 1/2" in diameter. This watering can comes with two sprinkler heads. Both having the remnants of the original red and green paint. Both heads fit the spout. One sprinkler is about 3 1/2" in diameter and the other is 2 3/4" in diameter. I will mention that when pouring water through the sprinkler heads water does drip through the screw fitting area. It does not affect ... morethe way the water comes through the head. I tried to show a picture of how both heads pour. If you look close you will see it is not a perfect shower but not so bad that you drench the flower pot.

Rich pigments make this a focal point piece. Surface appears to be very good. Untouched condition. Housed in an older frame which may or may not be original to the painting. Charles Berninghaus. Son of artist Oscar E. Berninghaus, was born in St. Louis Missouri on May 19, 1905. When he was five years old, he made his first trip to Taos, New Mexico with his father on a sketching trip. His mother died in 1913, and Charles and his sister Dorothy started spending the summers with their father in Taos. Since Oscar was already a well-known artist and founder of the Taos Society of Artists, Charles was brought up around lots of artists and ... morean abundance of art materials to play with. Oscar encouraged his son to be an artist. But was aware of the importance of letting his son find his own style. Charles went to St Louis schools through high school and then attended the St. Louis School of Fine Arts, the Art Institute of Chicago and the Art Students League in New York. During this time, he still spent summers in Taos and finally moved to Taos for good in 1927. He helped his father paint a mural for the Missouri State Capitol in 1923. Charles eventually became a successful painter, mostly working plein air in an impressionistic style. He painted very rapidly and normally used only one brush which he would wipe clean before each change of color. Declaring, Why paint anything unpleasant? Berninghaus usually painted the landscape, trees, flowers and streams of New Mexico. Charles' first exhibition was in 1922 at the Museum of Fine Arts in Santa Fe. Vintage 1960s Flower Garden Quilt Retro Colors GUC
This vintage 1960s flower garden quilt is in good used condition with no obvious stains on the front. It appears that someone took a quilt top and backed it with a piece of off-white flannel. The flannel backing has a couple of small stains/areas of discoloration(see photos) I noticed only one piece of fabric with a rip(see photo) But it looks like it might be easy to repair. The same flower with the rip has a piece of fabric that needs to be tacked down(see photo) There may be other small areas of weakened fabric but I didn't notice any other obvious rips. The quilt is approximately 89" long and 73 inches wide. The retro colors and fabrics in this quilt give it a modern feel.

Attractive old yo yo quilt offered here for sale. It measures 91" by 90" The colors are a bit muted with age but it still makes a pretty presentation. The material appears to be patterns from the 1930s or 40s. This quilt has an attractive shape and pattern. It is all cotton and all yo yo. It is in good vintage condition. All the yo yos are made by hand. They are fastened together with heavy thread. I didn't find any missing or torn up yo yos though I spotted a couple of mended ones. The quilt came to me used so I gently hand washed it and placed it on a table outside to dry. So the quilt will arrive clean and ready to use or display. Vintage QUILT TOP Grandmother's Flower Garden unfinished feedsack hexagons hand
Unfinished Vintage Quilt Top I purchased this unfinished quilt top at an antique store 10+ years ago with great intentions of finishing it for a tablecloth. I got as far as replacing the one missing hexagon then packed it away. Now it's ready to be taken on as a project for someone with more sewing drive than I have. I don't know much about fabrics or quilts but I think these are feedsack or at least feedsack like patterns. It is mostly handstitched with a few areas that have been machine done as if it may have been worked on at quite different times. It has soft colors. Somewhat less brilliant than the photos. SIZE: It's a bit difficult to measure because it has uneven edges but is about 74" X 81" It is shown on a full size mattress and hangs evenly on both sides. CONDITION: Unfinished edges with some fraying. I found ... moreonly two places where the fabric has torn. Shown in the last two photos. The background colors vary. I have made no attempt to clean it but it does have some stains that it came with. The fabrics are thin and light with some fading in places. M easures 82" x 76" There are a few small light stains. No popped seams and no tears. It looks as if this quilt was hardly used! Strong and tight and in excellent antique vintage condition! Please keep in mind that these are vintage and antique quilts. So there may be some small loose seams and some age related stains.
