LOVELY 1940'S ANTIQUE DRUNKARDS PATH QUILT, HAND PIECED, HAND QUILTED 10SPI
Here is a great 1940's drunkard's path quilt in peach green with a light cheddar backing. All hand pieced and also hand quilted with tiny stitches. 10 ttiny spi. I have been told that this is a very hard pattern to piece due to the curves in each block. This one is very well done. Its in very good condition with just a couple of small spots on the front and one spot on the backing. Besides being entirely hand pieced every piece is hand quilted around its interior. 10spi. All cotton fabrics with a thin cotton batting The cheddar backing is just a few shades darker than the peach. Very complimentary. Its finished with a hand closed pencil thin binding. Absolutely free of wear. The only flaws on this quilt are the few match head size spots that are shown. It measures 72" x 84" and is shown on a full bed. Vintage Handmade Hand Quilted Blue Flower Basket Feedsack Full Cotton Quilt Description. Vintage hand made flower basket quilt. All cotton fabrics in solids and prints. I believe feedsacks as well but am no expert and will let you be the judge. Striping in blue with red squares. It is all hand quilted. Backed in a wonderful cotton fabric in white. Navy blue and red with birds leaves and geometric medallion designs. It is a medium or heavy weight winter quilt. The quilt top is in excellent condition, I noticed just a couple of small faint spots. The back has some repairs around the edge. The repairs are machine stitched and it looks as though it was done before the back was put on. The edge stitching was not undone anywhere and the machine repair stitching does not go threw to the front. There are also a a few small holes just started around ... morethe edge. EARLY MARYLAND HAND QUILTED PATCHWORK QUILT C. 1840'S-50'S (90"X 90") VG COND.
Offered for sale is an exquisite early hand pieced and beautifully hand quilted 90" x 90" quilt made in Maryland between the 1840's- 50's. As you can see from the pictures. This quilt was cherished, and the colors are very vivid and the blocks are pristine. The only issue it has is it's beautiful paisley border where some parts are starting to melt due to the dyes that were used at that time. Unfortunately, that is often typical for quilts of this age. The backing is off-white muslin, also in very good condition, and you can really see all of the lovely quilting when you turn it over. It is a large size, probably made to hang over the sides of a double bed. Would make a stunning wall piece or look great on a bed or on the back of a sofa. Buyer pays shipping& insurance. CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This vintage Dresden Plate quilt is probably from the 1930's& all hand sewn. It has a beautiful layout& design. does not appear used. Quarter sections are shown, to see the details better. It measures 88" by 88" overall, pink is the main color. There are 25 plates, that were sewn inside 16" squares. It was hand quilted at 5-8 spi, with beautiful crosshatch& swirl designs. The back is white, the binding was hand sewn. There is a 5" ice cream cone border, that goes all around. It has thin batting. It has been washed& lays flat. Excellent condition with no flaws seen, but there could be something small missed. There are no odors. Lovely Flower Garden Quilt is appoximately 70" by 96" Displayed on a queen size bed. First 2 pictures were taken on patio. Don't know what is on the back of quilt(as seen in pic. Almost looks like fresh blood but is not. All my quilts I am selling have been store in quilt hutch. One corner is pretty tattered as in pic. Still very pretty and shabby chic looking! Old well loved double wedding ring quilt is approximately 82" by 76" There is one particular fabric that has shredded. I think there are about 4 or 5 of them. Please see pics. Antique Vintage Hand Quilted Flower Basket Quilt Dated
Very interesting flower basket quilt. All blocks have a name stitched on it. Some have the date 1934. I would assume some ladies had some fun while they put this together. Second picture shows an age spot. Quilt is in pretty good shape other than fading. The back is pink and is faded. All the quilts I have listed are totally hand stitched. My what time it took! Gorgeous 1900's Hand Pieced& Quilted 8 Point Star Quilt! Excellent Condition! Take a look at this beautiful. Antique quilt. It is done in red, white, yellow and blue. I believe this quilt dates to the turn of the 1900's or older. It consists of 8 point stars made with 16 pieces in yellow& blue on a background of red and white 2" squares and larger rectangles in a delightful design. On a few of the stars she substituted for a different shade of blue& yellow, she probably ran out of the other. As far as I can tell, it is hand pieced except the last outside row looks machine sewn. It is completely hand quilted in nice precise stitches. The condition is amazing, I didn't see any holes, spots, stains or loose stitches, the fabric is strong with no rot. I didn't see any spots but there may be a pin dot spot or two, ... moreit is hard to see very well in this winter lighting. It is nice and clean. Vintage feedsack crib quilt hand quilted has wear 1930's era Double Nine Patch
Sweet. Vintage Double Nine Patch crib quilt from the 1930's made mostly of feed sack cotton. It measures 38 x 42" and is hand quilted Batting is thin. Backing is white cotton. Hand quilted in squares at 4 to 5"up" stitches to the inch. Most of the fabric is feedsack cotton including a cute novelty print of a mother cat and kittens. Quilt has been used and is faded. No stains. No holes all the way thru. Binding edges are worn. See one small 9 patch square where fabric has worn away to the batting and one large double nine patch square in a corner where a lot has worn to the batting- see second to last photo. This is a very charming quilt filled with wonderful pastel calicos. Florals, small and large) checks, stripes, tiny elephants, and etc. The colors are light forest green sashing, and light powder pink cornerstones. It measures 64” X 89” Its beautifully hand pieced and quilted in a grid pattern throughout at 1” intervals. The stitching is top quality at 9-10 stitches per inch. I’m sure this abundance of quilting is what has held this charmer together for so long. Its been loved a lot. I’d say about one third of the nine patches are worn. A couple of the nine patches have the fabric gone. see photos) Its very cleans and smells good. Its thin. Very soft and cuddly. Antique Hand Appliqued & Hand Quilted Pastel Pink Roses Quilt
This is a beautiful hand appliqued and hand quilted pink roses quilt. There are roses and rose buds in various shades of pink& peach with a touch of yellow& red. The flowers. Buds and leaves are accented with embroidery. There is some slight discoloration on a few of the folds and a tiny stain in the bottom corner of the back(see photo) These may come out with washing(the quilt has been washed before) It's pastel palete gives it a great shabby chic look and it is in wonderful condition. A Real Beauty - Feathered Double Star Quilt - 1920's. Hand Pieced and Quilted.
Exceptional Feathered Double Star Quilt. Circa 1920's- This is simply a beautiful- and very soft- timeless American quilt from another era in quilt making. Hand Pieced using deep pink. Rich green, and bright white cotton for the pieced blocks. Green and white cottons were also used for the sashing and borders. Measuring 88" x 86" The quilt has a thin cotton batting and a hidden binding(worn as shown) and a white backing. Hand quilted with outline quilting inside the pieces. Chevron and floral quilting on the blocks background, rope quilting on the sashing, and running scallop quilting on the borders at six stitches per inch. Professionally hand laundered. Condition- Excellent for the vintage. We found a couple of tiny fabric splits on the border and there is some wear and a small seam slit on the binding. Freshly laundered. I examined closely and stitched a few places where the hand stitching came lose on the skirt. I'm a seamstress tailor and this is a real piece of art. The design is all hand stitched.There is a slit at each bottom corner to alow for the bed posts.Beautifully done. spread is 80" wide by 80" long. Fabulous Antque Quilt This charming quilt was a gift many many years ago but I have decided to simplify my life and so I am offering it up for sale The quilt is complely handsewn and hand quilted. The squares measure about 1 5/8"by 1 5/8" and there are aproximently 8/10 stiches per inch. The backing on the quilt is one solid piece of vintage cotton material. The color of the backing is a deep cranberry red with a very small black design. The quilt measures 75" by 84" This size would be perfect for a double or maybe a queen size bed. The condition of the quilt top is excellent. The condition of the quilt backing is good but not perfect. There is one medium/small stain and a small bit of material damage in that area(picture included) I do not know the exact age of this quilt but I guesstimate it to be 100 years old. Offered for sale is a beautiful hand-pieced and hand quilted square quilt with blocks made in the"Pinwheel" design. Beautifully pieced and hand quilted with tiny stitches. This quilt is a stunner! It has plenty of quilting on it- each edge is"feather stitched" which is a very elaborate quilting design. The edging is hand applied and is a pretty bright pink with small blue flowers. This quilt was kept in a trunk and is in beautiful condition! You can still make out the faint pencil lines for the quilting patterns. Antique Quilt Double Wedding Ring Design 1920's Hand Quilted Large 97" x 87"
This Double Wedding Ring design Quilt is hand sewn and hand quilted and dates from the 1920's. Exact origin unknown. It belonged to the seller's aunt until her death in 1985 and has been stored as a part of the seller's personal quilt collection ever since. Excellent condition for it's age. Lovely variety of printed cotton pieces. Scalloped edge. Intricate hand quilting is best observed on the back side. Perfectly symmetrical in shape. There are some flaws(all shown in the photos) two spots, one large one which is visible through the front and back; two tears in the backing; four pieces whose fabric has worn off so the thin cotton stuffing shows through; very slight wear at the egdge; some slight yellowing in places. ANTIQUE OCEAN WAVES QUILT VINTAGE PRIMITIVE SHIRTINGS HAND QUILTED TURKEY RED
This is a beautiful antique. Primitive quilt. I believe it is a variation of the Ocean Waves pattern. If you know another name for it, please feel free to comment. The size is 72x76. It is pictured on a queen sized bed. It has been hand pieced and hand quilted, in a truly"make-do" fashion. Many of the triangles are, themselves, pieced. It is quilted with brown thread in single parallel lines, going the length(76" of the quilt. The quilting is utilitarian with long, widely spaced stitches, as this quilt is quite thick and heavy. It wouldn't surprise me if the"batting" is an even older worn out quilt. The fabrics are cotton. There are homespuns, shirtings and a couple of flannels. The backing is homespun. The binding was done by bringing the backing to the front and stitching it to the top. I will describe the condition ... moreas well as I can. There is some age fading of a couple of the red fabrics. There is a small paint smear on one square. There are a few repairs along some seams. There are a couple small holes in the border. It needs to be washed. These condition problems are minor. In my opinion, and do not distract from the overall impact and displayability of this quilt. The quilt and fabrics are still sturdy, and the colors are strong and vibrant. Please note. As stated above, this quilt is quite heavy. It weights 7 lbs. without box and packing) Also it is not from a non-smoking home, though I don't notice any odors.

This beautiful quilt is in great shape other than the fraying of the binding. Each block is about 12 X 12In. with the sashing about 4 1/2 to 5 in. In the 3rd image you can see the 3 dimensional parts of the flowers.All Cotton. I washed and dried it. It was dirty when I got it from being stored in a box. You are bidding on a vintage log cabin pieced quilt that has been hand quilted. Quilt has all colors of blue with solids a couple of plaids and calicos. Centers are all navy blue. The backing is a light blue stripe. This is shown on a Queen bed. Measures approx 92 x 89 Edge all around is a nice strip design that sets off the log cabin blocks. This quilt was found at an estate sale. It is in very good condition. The only problems we could find are a stain near a corner edge. It is the size of my hand and I took two pictures of it. Also there is a quarter size stain near the center of the quilt. Last there are about a half dozen thread pulls in the cross stitch pattern. Welcome to my auction. This auction is for a vintage Orange And Blue Bowtie quilt. It has nice bright colors. It is hand quilted and nicely made. It is a light weight quilt. It measures 73” x 83” The backing is white. It is in good condition with a few minor flaws. There is a tiny hole about ¼” in diameter and a few spots/stains. I have not tried to clean it. So I have no idea what might or might not wash out. The stains are more noticeable on the back of the quilt. The colors in the close up pictures are more true colors as the full picture of the quilt the sun makes It look washed out. It is not. Feel free to e-mail me with any questions prior to bidding. Nice vibrant colorful patchwork with the same fabric repeated in a stripe at the top and bottom of the quilt. The quilt has a mauve lilac inside border and outside edge trim that is also used in the patchwork pattern as well as in the center of the star. Please note that the top and backing are a uniform yellow color which is a deeper yellow in person than what I was able to capture despite several attempts. not touched up at all) I am not a expert on quilts. But I believe this to be an older quilt; the batting is quite thin as I have seen in other older quilts; it is quilted by hand and has lots of it. Looks to be in very good, clean, condition ... morewith no odors or fraying noted; there appears to be two white spots on one end(shown in the photos) possibly bleach but it does not go through to the backing at all; small light mark which may wash out- as found and I did not try to remove it. see the photos with the penny- it is the same light mark) If you look really closely, you may find another mark as it is pre-owned, but certainly nothing major and nothing that I noticed. Star Quilt - hand pieced, hand quilted 30s-40s fabrics some novelty Mint Shape
This is a nice colorful quilt done using vintage and antique fabrics in the star blocks. Some of which have novelty prints) It is all hand pieced and hand quilted and bound by hand using the same fabric as the backing. The colors are bright- some are very bright such as the pinks used. The plain blocks between the stars are a very very light grayish-bluish color and the backing is a very very light dusty blue(I think it is the same color as is used between the blocks on the front) just hard to tell for it is very light. The backing and binding are not an antique fabric but I think a cotton blend and probably from the 1960s-70s or so. I have given you lots of pictures. There are no stains or spots- it is very clean. I find two spots(see last two pictures) where a couple of the squares have separated from the seam- this is an easy fix with ... morea needle and thread. I count about 7 stitches to the inch. She did a neat job. There is a lot of wear left here- I really don't think it was ever used- I have a feeling it was gifted to someone who stored it away. It is a charming. We are pleased to offer this Antique Folk Art Hand Made and Hand Quilted ROSE OF SHARON Appliqué Quilt circa 1850. Perhaps the most beloved block design of all is the one called"Rose of Sharon" Which has many variations. These blocks share the common feature of a traditional red, green, and white palette, so popular around 1850. So far, close to forty of these designs have been published. While Biblical scholars state that the plant, Rose of Sharon" which grows in Syria. Is not truly a rose at all, the"Rose of Sharon" quilt was often made as a bride's quilt. In floral symbology, the red rose has always stood for romantic love. In many of these bride's quilts, heart motifs were quilted onto the surface with hand quilting stitches. Treated as"best" quilts, they were used only on special occasions ... moreor not at all, which is the reason some of them have survived this long. This quilt is an Early Appliqué Rose of Sharon is hand made and hand quilted and is circa 1850. Look closely at the quilting and you will know that this quilt was not made by a novice because the appliqué pattern and quilting are very difficult to execute with precision. The quilt when held to a light has loads of cotton seeds and hulls which dates the quilt. The quilt is in excellent condition without tears or damage. The Rose of Sharon Appliqué Quilt measures 76 inches wide and 77 inches in length.

Sweet Vintage Pink & Green Quilt~9 patch~Hand-Quilted!~Shabby Sweet Charm!~NR!
Here is a beautiful. Vintage quilt! This beauty is pink and green, with 9-patch blocks! It measures approx. 66" x 74" The blocks each measure 7 inches square. The mint-y green blocks/fabric is so sweet. It has a tiny print in it. The pink squares are a pink/red tiny check! The back of the quilt is a funny blue-green color, solid, maybe turquoise blue? The quilt is all hand-quilted and handmade. The quilting stitches resemble flowers. See the picture of the back. The fabrics used to make the 9 patch blocks are so sweet, there are lots of colors and designs. There are no obvious stains on the quilt. It does have flaws. Though. There are several blocks that have loose seams, fraying of the fabrics. I have shown close-up pictures. Also around the edges or hem there is severe fraying. The green fabric used to bind the edges is frayed ... moreand missing in some places. See my pictures. This fraying is around the entire quilt, not all as bad as the pieces pictured, but it does have fraying and flawing around the hem. The quilt has been freshly machine washed. It washes up so nice! It has a soft loved feel. The quilt itself also has a soft, loved look! It is so sweet! I originally purchased this quilt at a local estate sale with the intentions of using it to make my big floppy bunny rabbits and bears with. but.when I had it all laid out I quickly realized that it was way too nice to cut! Although you can use it as a cutter. It will make adorable projects, I think it deserves to be used on a bed or to display! I, myself just couldn't cut it up! Antique / Vintage Hand Pieced and Hand Quilted Le Moyne Star Quilt
14.00 Here is a wonderful hand pieced and hand quilted antique to vintage Le Moyne patterned quilt. The quilting is intricate and lovely done in tiny stitches of approximately 9 stitches per inch. The fabric is cotton in solid colors of pale green and peach on a natural background and with natural backing. The fabric is in strong condition and would be near perfect if it were not for some areas of discoloration. There are lines and an almost perfect 16 by 16 inch square of light tan discoloration. As well as some pinkish discoloration in areas. I do not know if these can be removed, as I am not an expert in this area. I will leave that to the winning bidder. Vintage Star Quilt - hand pieced, quilted - Cutter - repurpose or use in stack
This is an old quilt measuring 68" wide by 80" long. It contains 20 hand pieced stars. All using plain fabrics, and each star measuring 14 1/2" point to point and then appliqued(can't tell if it is machine applique or very fine handwork) onto a white muslin square measuring 15 X 15" Each square is divided by a 2" wide strip of pink fabric and they have used red squares at the corners. It has survived many launderings, and served its purpose well and long and is ready for a new life. Of the 20 star squares. 14 are in good shape with no wear to the fabric- the six squares in which they used the yellow fabric are all worn thru on that yellow fabric.it didn't hold up well. They still, however, would make great shabby appliques onto a pillow etc. You can see this wear to the yellow in the pictures. I see 3 tiny ... morespots which will probably come out, and there are two holes- one on each side close to the edge. There is a cut about 4" through the border on the foot end and a smaller similar tear or cut close to the corner(abt 2" on the pillow end. There is also some light staining but it is not very visible.one or two. All that being said. It would display well in a stack of vintage quilts, would repurpose into some great pillows etc OR put a little repair into on the binding and edge and use in your lake cottages. I detect no odors. LOVELY 1906 GREEN & WHITE EMBROIDERED QUILT~COMPLETELY HAND PIECED & QUILTED~
Offered is a lovely hand embroidered and hand quilted green and white quilt. This quilt was done in 1906 and the winner will receive the provenance that I was given.the maker's name and location. This light weight quilt measures approximately 92 inches by 64 inches. The front white fabric pieces were hand pieced together and then the quilt was hand quilted with approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch. After that. The quilt was then hand cross stitched with a nice forest green color embroidery thread. The back of the quilt is of the same white fabric as used for the solid white on the front. The front and back edges were turned into each other and hand stitched to form the binding. The hand stitching on the binding edge is also done with approximately 7 to 8 stitches per inch. The binding is in lovely condition with no issues noted. This ... moreis a lovely soft quilt with no damage noted on the front or the back.no stains. Spots, or holes seen. I have checked this quilt over very carefully, and I don't think I have, but I could have overlooked something very minor that didn't pop out at me. This quilt was obviously not used very much as it looks to be in very good condition. I have carefully laundered this quilt and it will come to you from a smoke free home.it's ready for immediate use. We are pleased to offer this Outstanding White on White Quilt from New England Circa 1800s. The Antique Quilt is of Exceptional Quality with Heirloom Historic Like Quilting. The Best I have Ever Seen! Look for yourself as you will not see Quilting like this on any ordinary quilt. And the quilting is that of a Baltimore Album Quilt. The Antique White on White Quilt has a whole cloth front panel and on the reverse side of the quilt there are two panels with a central seam. The Antique White on White Quilt has Double Circular Feather Wreaths and is surrounded by tiny hand stitching. There is Floral White on White Quilted Baskets that are incorporated into the white on white designs. BEAUTIFUL, Pink and pastels 1930-40’s, hand quilted DRESDEN PLATE QUILT
What a delightful. Cozy 1930’s quilt! It’s heavily quilted at 7-8 stitches per inch. The pattern is Dresden Plate. The plates are 14” in diameter, and the centers are 6 ½” wide. The quilting echos the pink flowers, is 1” intervals throughout the quilt and has a ¾” wide grid pattern in the centers of the plates. I see all kinds of fun, pretty fabric. There are feathers, tiny elephants, many florals(all sizes) daisies, polka dots, checks, stripes, geometric circles, etc. The colors are pink, soft pinks, lavenders, blues, yellows, reds, and greens. The background and backing is a soft white. The integrity of this quilt is very good. It shows no signs of wear, and smells fresh. It’s soft, thin and cozy. Excellent Antique Quilt c.1890 "Fox & Geese" Hand Quilted Multi Prints 76 x 84"
This is a wonderful antique quilt. It is all cottons and measures 75 1/2 x 84" The name of the block pattern is Fox and Geese. Or it is also known as Double X. It dates to the 1890's. It has a beautiful variety of early prints- double pinks, indigos,shirtings,paisley, polka dots on checks and more. The connecting blocks are a tiny black and white shirting print. It has a double pink border strip that is 1 3/4" and it is bound in the same print. The back of the quilt is a tiny deep brown shirting print. The blocks are skillfully pieced with matching points and the blocks are set on point. The hand quilting is very nice, with vertical lines in the pieced bloc, circular lines in the plain block and it has a light cotton bat. Condition is very good- colors are bright and there are no holes or weak spots. There are four of the light ... moreblocks that have some very faint stains as shown in last picture- they are not distracting. This quilt has been documented by the Minnesota Quilt Project.

Lovely Vintage 1930's Quilt Dresden Plate Variation Hand Quilted, 74 x 82"
This auction features a wonderful classic vintage 1930's quilt. It is all cottons and the pattern is a variation of Dresden Plate. This one has points at the ends of the petals so is called Aster. Or Sunflower. It measures 74 x 82" The background is white and there is a marvelous amount of 1930's pastel prints. There are 30 blocks and they are 13" The sunflowers have been skillfully hand appliqued to the block. The blocks are machine pieced together and then it has been hand quilted. There are parallel lines in the blocks and concentric circles in the sunflowers, and the quilting shows very well when lying on a bed. The bat is between a light and a medium. The edges have been finished in a knife edge- turned and hand closed. The backing is the same white cotton as the front. It is in very good condition with no stains, holes ... moreor weak spots. A very sweet quilt.
