CHERISH EACH DAY& ALL WILL BE OK This vintage all cotton quilt measures 70" by 82" has pink print patchwork design. Quarter sections are shown. To see the details better. Some of the edges look uneven, but just need to be ironed. The binding was hand sewn. The hand quilting is done at 6-9 spi, some pencil lines show. There are 20 squares that measure about 12" across. It has never been used& shows no wear. It has thin cotton batting. It has been washed& lays flat. There are no flaws seen. But there could be something small missed. There are no odors. If you Love and Appreciate Patchwork Square Artistry. You will Love this Quilt! This is an early quilt from Valeta Hart's collection. We are not sure if she made this quilt. Or it was a quilt she inherited or maybe even traded a quilt for. Mrs. Hart was an Ohio quilter who made some of the coolest quilts we've seen. Her color sense was amazing. This quilt looks a little older than the others we have from her collection. That's why I am not exactly sure enough to say whether it was Valeta's or not. I don't think I ever saw one of her quilts that was on a color background like this one(pink) but the colors in the patchwork are lively and vibrant like those she carefully chose for her quilts- and there is a sense of rhythm. Another quilt aficianado made the observation that he thought there was a flag motif in this quilt ... moreand I can see what he means, but since Valeta Hart is no longer with us, I have not been able to research that. I do so wish she were around and I could ask her so many questions about her quilts and her process. Squares and ovals quilt. 69" x 91" in size. Cottons. The front is made up of a red bandana print and a white floral print. The backside is a maroon floral print with tiny pink. White, and green flowers. The pictures do not show the true color of the back. It is a deep maroon. It has a set-on red. Blue, and white striped binding. Machine quilted in a pretty shell pattern. It has a few small loose seams that can easily be fixed. Otherwise it is in good clean condition.

VINTAGE Textile patchwork Silk& Satin Quilt Measures approx.73” x 85” Each square started as 12" but is now 11 1/2" Some top hand embroidery(feather stitch) but not as much as a true crazy quilt.Wonderful vivid colors. This came straight from an estate sale so I have not washed or ironed this piece especially since it is mostly made of silks& satin. Many vintage pieces of satin. And other fancy silks that were so popular in the late Victorian era have been treasured and preserved. Many of the silk fabrics used in quilts are weighted with mineral salts and other substances. This means the fabrics have been coated with, or have actually absorbed, these substances to give them more weight and a stiffer texture. Unfortunately, weighting substances also speed up the fabric's deterioration. Silk is extremely susceptible to ... morelight damage. Which can be seen in brittleness, splits, and the eventual powdering of the yarns. Sometimes, even though a piece of silk may appear in perfect condition, it can be extremely fragile. Dust and dirt can do a great deal of harm to silk quilts, as can wet cleaning and dry cleaning. This is an auction for a VINTAGE/ANTIQUE RED WHITE& BLUE PATCHWORK QUILT- 62"x80" HANDMADE in MISSOURI. The majority of the 3 1/2" finished blocks are made of vintage cotton fabrics mainly red. White, blue in color- but there are a few blocks of greens, yellows. browns also in the quilt. The backing& edging are done in white cotton and the filling appears to be a white flannel(lightweight) The quilt is EXTREMELY OLD. Although I do not know the exact date of when it was made. It was my grandmother-in-law's quilt and she was born in 1901. My husband remembers her having this quilt& just knows that it something that she made. And obviously lovingly used. She lived her entire life in the"Lead Belt" area of the state of Missouri, south of St. Louis. This quilt is completely hand quilted. But finished in ... morea machine stitched binding. The quilt is NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION. There are some stains. Some tears& rips, some missing binding on the edges. The back side is not in as good of condition as the front side. As some of the back fabric is well- worn and has deteriorated. I'm guessing that is why there appears to be an 8 1/2" binding( on one end of the quilt- maybe to reinforce the back side where the fabric was damaged. But why she would also put it across the front side I don't understand. Maybe it was meant to designate the head of the bed where the pillows were to lie on top. I'm not sure- the quilt blocks underneath that strip do not appear to be damaged. A mystery that will never be solved, as Grandma died years ago, before I had the quilt and could ask questions from her. There are no musty smells and it has always been in pet-free. Smoke-free homes. Check the pictures carefully to see where I have tried to picture some of the damages. I have not made any attempt to repair or clean it. Vintage Nine Patch quilt. 66" x 81" in size. Hand quilted and hand pieced. The front has nine patch blocks in prints and solids. They are surrounded by sashings and posts in different colors. The backside is light blue and folds over to the front to make the binding. The backside has a torn place by one edge as the picture shows and a few other small tears. The batting is lumpy some here and there but the quilt lays good and flat. The front is knit fabric. The back is cotton. Bright and colorful.

Vintage textile patchwork quilt- late 1800's family heirloom- red/black- LOOK!!
This very nice and clean quilt has been in my family since it was created. I believe it is late 1800's to early 1900's and was made from very dated early textiles. The quilt is 74" x 76" 6'2" x 6'4" and is shown displayed/covering a queen sized bed. I think this is what is called a'9 patch' or'log cabin' quilt. It is constructed of 156 squares. Red/black adjoined diamonds make each square(each square is 6" and length runs 13 squares and width runs 12 squares. I have done my best to describe this quilt. Early Vintage Unused Hand-pieced PATCHWORK QUILT TOP Feedsack Search Antique Feedsack Quilt Top This vintage patchwork quilt top came from an estate auction in Ephrata. Pennsylvania, it is machine stitched and made of a variety of old fabrics-there are old stripes. Tiny plaids, ginghams, checks, floral, ticking, even some old flannel and more. There is no rhyme or reason to the patches in each of the 30 large blocks of the quilt; however the pieces inside each block do complement each other and have a separate pattern than each of the other blocks. It was constructed using old newspaper patterns as some bits of the paper were sewn into the seams and some of it is still stuck in the stitching and can be seen on the reverse side. It is a generous 82" x 72" and has beautiful muted colors in great combinations. Fabric is crisp a nd ... morebright and is in fabulous condition with no rips. This vintage patchwork quilt was hand tied and was made with all very soft velour fabrics like the Vanity Fair Corp. used in their robes. It does not have batting. It does not have any worn areas but this type fabric get fine fine pilling. There is a very slightly faded square area that was cause by the way it was folded and left in the light. It is clean. Odor free and 60 by 70 inches.

This baby quilt top is from my Great Aunt's estate. She wasn't a smoker so there is no cigarette smell to it or any other musty mystery smell. Just the smell of old textiles. It is in very good condition. With no stain or holes on the top or the bottom. But it has been used and washed, no doubt, only that the previous owner took good care of it. It is made of cotton swatches. And it is hand stitched. We made a close-up of the stitching so you can confirm this by yourself. It has either no batting at all. Or just a little bit. Offering a wonderful vintage hand pieced hand quilted patchwork quilt! It is in a Dresden Plate variation with large sunny golden yellow centers and jadite green borders. The fabric appears to be from the 1930's and is a wonderful variety of prints and measures79 by 93 inches. The backing and edges are white with nice tight even quilting. There are no stains or holes and the fabric is nice and strong. The only issue I can find is along one of the edges there is a piece of the edge binding that has a small piece out of it as shown in the third picture. Beautiful colors. Workmanship and condition! This item measures 79 inches by 81 inches. It is in good condition though there are a few small holes. They probably wouldn't be too hard to repair if you were handy with this sort of thing. There are a few light spots on the back of the quilt and a couple repairs on the back, these areas are all shown in the pictures. I have not washed this quilt though I think it probably could be washed on gentle cycle if you wanted to. This is a beautiful old quilt, it would be a great addition to your home. Antique / Vintage CHURN DASH Hand Made Patchwork Cotton Tied Quilt 77" X 88"
This Auction is for A Very Pretty Vintage Churn Dash Quilt. Measures approx. 77 inches X 88 inches. A great number of the blocks in this quilt are late 1800's hand pieced blocks with some vintage blocks to make it this large. The block are connected together with a very pretty cinnamon pink cotton chambray. The backing is a unassuming check patterned cotton print. Within the quilt there is a very thick layer of cotton quilt batting(this quilt will keep you warm) Quilt was then hand tied. No rips or noted tears. Some of the antique blocks have dark brownish stains that are probably very old. I am noting several yellow spots that don't appear to be old stains. All of these are shown in pictures. Please note I have not taken the time to launder this piece. I am selling this quilt as I found it at auction very recently. Vintage Patchwork Stacked Bricks Blocks Strip quilt Quilters Guild 0f East Texas
Stacked Bricks Strip Patchwork quilt done by the Quilters Guild of East Texas in 1990. 60" x 84" in size. One side is made up of long strips in prints and solids. This side has a label in one corner(see picture) The other side is made up of smaller bricks and bars. It has a set-on blue binding. The front and back are sewn together along each long strip but you can't see the stitching. I don't know what this technique is called. A lot of print and solid cottons are used. It has a hole that is about quarter size on the back side. Where it comes through to the front side it is about 3/8" x 3/8" in size. This can be repaired. BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE HANDMADE PATCHWORK QUILT VERY HEAVY & WARM PINWHEEL PATTERN
This is a very pretty vintage quilt. It is very heavy and warm. It has two different patterns. One on either side as shown in pics 1 and 2. I have shown the edging in my last pic. The pattern looks like a pinwheel. It measures 74 inches by 83 inches. It weighs 8 pounds alone. I believe it is made of cotton and wool and other household fabrics that were on hand. I looked it over best I could and I found 8 problem blocks on one side and 6 problem blocks on the other side with some wear. Please see photos to show the wear.
