Vintage Antique FEEDSACK FLOURSACK Crazy QUILT Hand quilted sewn pieced OLD OLD!
This is most likely a good cutter but I have seen worse repaired so draw your own conclusions. No matter it is absolutely beautiful and it is heavy. Every stich is hand done botht the quitlting and the top. You can see the damage in the picture. There is some yellowing as well which is also visible. Measures 60' x70' Thanks

It looks as if an old quilt was used as the batting. If you look on the back at the wear you can see the old quilt peeking out. Navy and indigo blues. Jades and forest greens, sunny yellows, turkey reds, sky blues, lavenders, dusty pinks and lots more. A wonderful variety of old feedsacks and novelty prints make up the front. The back is made up of floursacks with the old logo still visible that reads"Washburn Crosby Gold Medal Enriched Flour" What a treasure! The front is brought to the back for the binding. And hand-tied. Nice, thick and heavy. This one is a stunner, and is a beautiful piece of African American textile design! Measures 80 x 76. Hand-tied. ... moreThe front of this quilt is in excellent condition. No tears. No holes and no loose seams. No stains on front. The back does have some wear mainly around the edges. I have shown the worst of this in pics, and even these are not all that bad and look to be easily mendable. None of these are tears that go all the way through! And a few small faint stains. Lots of character and charm in this beauty! Otherwise, in great antique vintage condition! Please keep in mind that these are vintage and antique quilts. So there may be some small loose seams and some age related stains. I try to report as much of this in my descriptions as I can, but may at times not see every little thing. For auction is this nice antique early 1900's Flyfoot or Pinwheel pattern quilt. That is all hand stitched, and hand quilted, measuring 57"x 78" Quilt is made from all early cotton fabrics of feed sack, shirting, calico. Loaded with old cotton feedsacks. Backing is an old cotton sack cloth. Great colors of blue. Green, cream, pink, red. Quilt is in wonderful condition for its age, but does have age stains that can be cleaned using proper cleaner for antique textiles and linens. And one loose seam that can easily be re-stitched. This is just a great old quilt. Just a great old quilt that would make a great addition to a collection. Or use for country primitive decor, or display. ANTIQUE FLOURSACK QUILT, HAND SEWN, HAND TIED,early 1900's, 78" by 80"
Selling a quilt from an estate.I believe it is from the early 1900's. It measures 78" by 80" I believe it has been made from flour sack material. Mostly pinks/red and grays. There is some brownsIt has been hand sewn and hand tied. The only machine sewing that I can find is along the edge. The back has been pieced. It is of 3 pieces of the same material. There are no holes that I can find. There is some discoloring where it had been folded for years. That is on the back side. I did find one stain on the front and it is pictured. There may be more but not obvious. When held up to the light I can see where the batting is separating slightly in a few places. Not seen unless holding it to light.

The original blocks were in a tied quilt and I liberated them and added a new lattice from vintage feedsacks I had, so cool!
