ANTIQUE! VICTORIAN! Lot of 8- BLACK GLASS MOURNING buttons all different all FAB
This is a very varied and interesting lot of 8 antique black glass Victorian"Mourning" buttons. For all the black garments that everyone wore back then. Please check out all my pictures. The largest measures 1 1/8" in diameter, and the smallest is REALLY small at only 5/16" in diameter! Condition on all is very good to excellent, no major chipping going on, the only thing I saw on one of them is that the brass loop on the back of it is bent down a little, but you can still string thread through it fine. The large one is a fabric-thread backing which must be sewn on, the rest all have some sort of stringing loops or holes. It's a wonderful selection of antique buttons to display as part of a collection OR to use on period or even modern garments!Thanks for looking!

Antique Vintage Victorian Mourning Black Czech? Lot of Buttons Assorted NR
I apologize for the quality of these photos. It as difficult photographing black buttons. I believe most of these buttons are Victorian as they were purchased from a very old estate. There are 25 buttons all together. Fourteen are black. At least eleven of these are glass. I'm guessing they were made in Czechoslovakia or Germany. The other eleven are metal, possibly brass, with varying degrees of verdigris. I have not tried to clean any of these. Wonderful Victorian motifs such as birds, tiny acorns, flowers and more. Antique Collection of Victorian Era Mourning Buttons Approximately 100 Mounted
There are around 100 buttons attached to this display board. The frame it was in broke. So I removed it. It wasn't all that nice anyways. I left the buttons attached to the display board, and have kept them this way. There are many really sweet designs here, my favorites being the daisy shaped ones, of which there are 8 in total. The giant arrow shaped embellishment is made from jet black beads. At the top, the 2 large gold and black pieces are actually one buckle closure. Most of these buttons are multi-faceted, domes or swirls. and a few have a music lyre on them. This is a very nice set. Feel free to ask any questions. You will not be disappointed. This is a collection of Victorian jet black buttons that a lady put on a tree to give her sister as a present 44 years ago. I doubt you'll ever see another like it. unless she had more than one sister. It is a certainly a one-of-a-kind piece. The picture. Surrounded by a black satin ribbon, is about 7 1/2 x 10: and the frame is 11 x 13 inches. But. It's the buttons that are the neat thing. They are genuine Victorian buttons from the 1800s. There are 30 unique antique jet black buttons, each different. All are fancy, some having an aesthetic appearance with leaves, etc. I've looked closely, and see no two that are exactly alike. All look perfect. Except for one that showed up in a picture as having a brown spot on it. I didn't see it with my naked eye. If you would want the picture.
