Beautiful lot of 35 antique/vintage metal buttons. These include victorian. Brass, pictures, fabric insert perfume. Floral designs, stars, half moon, and one is a brass baby riding a bird. Antique/Vintage Metal Button Lot Victorian Picture Clasp Buttons
Up for auction are 8 georgeous picture buttons from the late 1800's which include two which are a clasp set. Condition is very good to excellent. The metals are all different but in great shape. The work is clear. Clean and detailed and all 1 and 1/2" across. The brass picture button and clasp set is called"True Love" 1880's with a clown and ballerina, Pierrot& Pierrette, characters in a French pantomime. They are stamped brass on a textured brass cup with a flat mirrored white metal crescent moon applied under the rim. The clasp set has the hook and loop soldered onto the back. They all have a brass shank. One picture button is especially shiny and detailed of"Cupid at Rest" Stamped, pierced and tinted brass mounted over a darker metal background with engraved hearts and fleur-de-lis with a self formed ... moreshank. The next one is the"Trumpeter of Sackinger" Germany. It has a man/boy blowing a horn. The metal looks like brass with a copper color not sure which. Lastly. Are three buttons"The Sentinel of Cracow" Poland. Stamped and silvered brass pierced with nice detail, white metal collet, black background with a brass back self shank.
