Here is an antique brass cup button showing a stork or heron design. It has original color. Engraved design. The stork/heron is applied and in high relief. The leaves, which I believe are arrowroot, are molded, creating impressions on the backside of the button. There is an air hole in the back of the button and a rivoted steel cut embellishment. The brass design is on a dark-tinted background with a narrow rim. And is mounted inside a steel cup with faceted or cut edges. It measures just over 1 1/4" NBS large) and is in very good condition. But there is some light surface tarnish/rust/discoloration, as seen in the images. This is very minor and a good buffing should clear this up. The steel cup is bright and sparkly, with the rim and steels flashing ... morelike diamonds. This button is even prettier in person, and with a bit of TLC will really pop.
