Huge Lot Fancy Victorian Antique Buttons Jet Glass Crystal Metal Celluloid 3 lbs
Here is a beautiful mixed lot of over 3 pounds of Victorian and antique buttons. The largest ones are about an inch and a half in diameter. There are lots of black glass jet and metal ones with shanks. There are some everyday buttons too but all are clean and beautiful. The large silver piece(about 2 inches in diameter) is actually half of a buckle. I cannot ship outside the U.S. sorry!

I cannot ship outside the U.S. I am listing several batches of old buttons from years and years of collecting. They are all in very good condition and of course the ones on the cards were never used and are very old and so beautiful presented on old cards. I would be happy to combine shipping costs should you win more than one auction. All of these old buttons in my opinion are miniature works of art. They are just so beautiful. I hope the pictures do them justice! The old buttons are very large and they may have been used on heavy coats or cloaks at the turn of the last century. Some of them are thin but very large in size.

This auction is for a 9 x 12 button card a collector/dealer put together some years ago. Prices for individual buttons are marked in pencil and range from $25-$65. The card is soiled and torn. I've done nothing to the cardboard nor have I attempted to clean the buttons. They are mostly metal. It is possible the background is made of paper and then laminated. Even though they are unused they are not like new as they have been stored for over 100 years and might have been in contact with some moisture. The condition is good. 10 Victorian Clothing Buttons Girl on a Garden Swing Celluloid & Metal
You get ten celluloid and metal buttons showing. In light relief, a young woman on a swing hanging from a branch, all encircled by flowers and leaves. Quite charming, and very typical of the Romantic Medievalism fashionable in the mid-19 th century. The celluloid is framed and backed by metal. With integral metal eyelets on the backs. The backs are stamped: PARIS/ 40/ M/ three stars] I'd guess the 40 stands for 40 mm in diameter, which is what they are. They are not all in perfect condition. On one. The frame is pulled away a bit. On another, the celluloid is pushed in a bit in the center. Several have obvious corrosion on the metal backs. But otherwise, they're intact and in pretty good shape, especially considering their age and material. Please look carefully at the pictures provided. I bought these at an estate sale.
