Original DUG Fancy Hand Chased Patterned COPPER COLONIAL BUTTON Bright Face #2
This is a wonderful example of a mid to late 18th century copper colonial button. Nicely patterned done by hand chasing. This a DUG button measures just a shade over 16/16th inches in diameter. It has a large copper loop shank typical of the period. In very good antique condition. Surface scratches commensurate with age. Beautiful patina! Really a very nice example of a dug piece.
