This is a set of 12 little waistcoat buttons with an approximate 5/16" ... morediameter. Although they are just over 3/8" across, the brass is very elaborately stamped and cut forming a sort of bezel setting over the mother of pearl centers. The buttons are backed with black painted steel backs which give the buttons a shank style attachment. Even the tiny mother of pearl inserts are incised with a circle. Antique Black Glass Picture Button -INCISED DESIGN_IVY LEAF VINE_Gold Luster
In very good condition. A lovely antique dome-like black glass button with an incised design of an ivy leaf vine within a border. Both leafs, vine and border are highlighted with gold luster. Button measures 3/4" diam. and has a brass plate and loop shank. Some small fleabites on the bottom side of button but does not effect the face of the button. Please see photos.
