The large one measures 3/4" in diameter and smaller ones measure 1/2" in diameter. All are in untouched condition. There is a manufacturer's mark on the brass backing of the large one. They are Buffalo Horn composition with a triad design of glitter. The card says"Buffalo Horn Miller Co NY" at the top on the bottom it says"Patented June 20. 1871, Aug 10, 1875, Jan 10, 1881, June 24, 1884. The card and buttons are in excellent condition(of course I can not speak to the back of the buttons as I have not seen them but I have no reason to believe that there is anything wrong with these, what I can see looks excellent. The buttons measure about 5/8" and are perhaps a bit greener than in the photos, the color looks a bit different in different light. Up for auction: 4 Large 1 5/8"antique Horn buttons Lot includes 4 buttons with three being the same. However, 2 of the buttons are not in good shape, have holes, but the other two are in very good to excellent condition. They are dark brown- black in color. Also called"pick backs" because of the way they were taken off the mold. Are made of real horn with the back lathed smooth with a metal shank.
