This auction is for two antique(Victorian) metal picture buttons. Each with a floral theme. The plant leaf button has been tinted and has a rust color with a japanned background. It measures 1 1/4" and has a metal loop shank. The second button is a two-piece pressed brass button; the whole surface is covered with flower blossoms. It measures 1 3/16" and has a self shank. Vintage Antique Early 1900's Handpainted Floral Buttons Metal Backing
Beautiful antique buttons. Unused, in good condition. They were very hard to photograph& look much better then the picture shows. Hand painted under glass and then a metal shank put on the back. They are quite wonderful and very unusual. They measure 3/8' in diameter. The auction is for 6 buttons& I have more available so let me know if you need more. This item is original antique stock from the archives of Tinsel Trading. In NY, which was founded by my grandfather. Victorian Antique Brass and steel( metal buttons ~ 2 sets of 3 matching each ~ There are no maker's mark. The Hawaiian ones are in good condition with the green patina and are 7/8" in diameter. A relief design shows either flowers or trees( with a double raised border. The 3 faceted ones are in fair condition because of the black wearing off the metal.
