LIGHTING Fine American Federal Inlaid Walnut Corner ... moreCupboard Possibly Shenandoah Valley Virginia or Pennsylvania c. 1800-20 With unusual thin scrolled Broken Arch Pediment with Pinwheel Inlay Item# 130311YPP03 This is an outstanding American Federal Corner Cabinet of either Pennsylvania or Southern origin with ties to related forms in the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia. The broken-arch pediment is striking and unusual. The thin arms lifting from the molded top in a cresting wave, curling into fine inlaid pinwheel rosettes; these opposing waves of the pediment flank a fine inlaid pointed urn finial raised on a plinth base of conforming inlay. The arched door is crafted with through-tenon joinery, the fragile corners supported with butterfly dovetails on the inside(possibly later) it features twelve glazed panels framed in scratched-bead walnut astragals, opening on original hinges to reveal a shelved interior. Each shelf is channeled to display plates and platters, the front edge of each shelf molded, one shelf crafted to hold utensils in the front edge. The case has outstanding proportions. These eased by the thick molding around the waist and the inlaid band around the shoulders- this easily divides the visual planes of the piece into graduated levels that are easier for the eye to digest. The bottom of the case has a pair of solid walnut doors framed in a matching inlaid band, each embellished with inlaid shield escutcheons to match the arched door, these opening to reveal a shelved interior. The entire case rests over original bracket feet. The construction of the case is very fine. The pair of stiles on either side of the case joined in some kind of hidden dovetail or butt-joint, running from just an inch above the ground through the molding of the crest. Made in England. Circa 1980 Bevan Funnel Yew wood Gothic arched doors Includes key Excellent condition, There are several unusual features to this lovely corner cabinet. First. The wood used is yew wood. Yew wood is a native English wood that is not common, but has many of the same features as maple. The second unusual feature is that we know who made this corner cabinet. Usually English furniture does not include a maker’s mark. On the inside of the lower door is the mark for Bevan Funnel, a very prestigious English furniture firm still in business today. We have dated this particular model to sometime around 1980. From the Gothic arches on the glass doors to the sturdy bracket feet. No attention to detail was spared on this corner cabinet. Inside the top section are two adjustable wooden shelves. They adjust via a brass pin and hole system. The lower cabinet contains one wooden shelf. Both cabinet doors lock and one key is included. A moulded cornice crowns the top while a recessed panel door with trim really shows of the attractive qualities of yew wood. The fact that after over 30 years this yew wood corner cabinet is still in excellent condition is a testament to the quality of skill and care that went into its construction. It has survived with no noticeable wear and would make an excellent addition to any room of your home! This yew wood corner cabinet would look great in any corner of the home! Plenty of display and storage space that all locks with included key. Here is the label from Bevan Funnel. On the inside of the lower door. The moulded cornice looks great on top. One of the more attractive features of this corner cabinet are the Gothic arches on the glass doors. T

This cabinet was surely made for a specific place in an old home and now it is ready for a new home! Construction is all mortise and tenon and pegged except for the rear boards are tongue and groove.with 1" by 10" heart pine boards and what appear to be rosehead nails. These back boards are continuously the same board from the top to the bottom of the cabinet. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. The bottom is flush, and this will stand on the floor as shown or could be displayed on top of a table or other piece you may have to complement it.

This is a gorgeous corner cupboard that measures 78" X 52" The glass in the two upper doors is wavy which attests to its age. The finish is smooth and there are no defects anywhere. The hardware is original. There are two shelves in the upper door area and one in the lower door area. The cupboard is part of my parents' estate. They always prized this piece after years of being antique collectors and dealers. Dad lit the interior with mini lights to highlight his display of historical china. The buyer will be responsible for picking this up and it will require some men who are very careful and strong. If I were buying it. I'd have insured professional movers handle it. ANTIQUE C1850 MAHOGANY PINE FOLK ART HANGING CORNER CABINET CUPBOARD DRAWER LOCK
This is a great diminutive hanging corner cabinet with kind of a folk art look. It is solid pine with nice old thick and decorative mahogany veneer. There are several shelves inside which will make for excellent corner storage. There is a geometric design to the paneled door as well as an inlaid wood escutcheon. The drawer is hand dovetailed and chamfered. Although there is only one drawer. It appears to have three due to the three original wooden pulls or knobs. the top is pine as are the rear boards. One of the rear pine boards is very wide at 17" There are new hanging brackets on the back at the top. At some point a block was added so that this cabinet could also be a freestanding unit. It does retain the original lockset and key. With possibly original finish with a wonderful patina, probably mahogany wood. Crown molded upper piece has an elegant glass door made up of 12 framed wavy glass panes with a glass pull. The door opens to three shelves that divide the interior. Which is painted of a light green-blue. The lower piece is on a scrolled bracket base with two molded flat paneled doors with the original key and two glass pulls that match the one in the top piece. The height of the base with the riser/backsplash thingy is 41-3/4" while he horizontal top surface of the base is 37" above the floor. The base projects about 24" out from the corner to the front or about 30-1/2" along the walls. Offered is a 19th century. Antique, hanging corner cabinet with the original, milk based, mustard paint. It measures 44" tall x 30" across x 14" deep. The back sides measure 22" across. The glass looks all original and is plastered in. It's truly a wonderful example of South Central, Amish Country, grain painted primitives. A very large and impressive antique. Circa 1880's, cherry stained maple Chippendale style corner cupboard. It is two piece construction: cupboard with two arched doors having sixteen panels(fifteen with the original wavy glass. The crest is broken arch type with carved flower rosettes on scroll necks, three urn finials on fluted plinths. There is an incised diaperwork to the front above the doors. The interior has an ivory color paint. The cabinet below has a center drawer between two faux front drawers, with brass batwing brass pulls. The two doors below open to a compartment with a shelf. There are two carved scallop shells on the doors. The front has carved claw feet. The interior doors of the cupboard are stained mahogany. Country Pine 1890 Antique English Hand Crafted Corner Cupboard. This charming country pine corner cabinet from about 1890 originally had no sides or back. It was built into a corner about 1890. About 50 years ago, the back and sides were added to make a free standing cupboard. Knotty pine has deep moldings. There are some shrinkage separations and warps to the doors from age for antique character. The warm honey finish is in extremely fine condition and has been waxed and buffed so only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glow. This antique furniture from England has carved turn buttons to secure the doors. Dimensions are 55 1/2" across the crown tip to tip. 7' tall and the sides are 26" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown. Simple molding on top and straight sides that curve at the bottom elevating it so that if you should choose to set it on the floor would serve as legs and hung on the wall in a corner they would display the simple architectural lines of the cupboard. Top and back are unpainted wood that tells the age of this sweet piece. Exterior is painted old reddish color with a turquoise interior and underside. There appears to b white paint under th e interior paint. Paint was done a long time ago. Not original to the period. There is a hole at each level on either side. And one in the center back for hanging purposes. These holes appear to be original. There is no reserve on this charming antique miniature corner cupboard. We are pleased to present this miniature French cupboard for your consideration. It is circa 1850 and is a pure pleasure to look at. The top has scalloped sides and 2 gently curved shelves. On the bottom we have two doors that echo the scallops from above. There is a wood inlay on all four panels across the bottom showing a diamond pattern with a starburst center. It still has the original lock. Key and escutcheons as well as the original hook on the inside that holds the left door closed. The sides end in little French feet. The left door seems to be stuck shut and we do not want to force it open. This is an absolutely charming piece of small furniture measuring only 28 ¾” tall and 14 ¾” across the front. Crafted during the middle of the 19th Century, probably around 1840-60, the piece exudes a lack of formality that is incredibly charming. Built to last many lifetimes, the construction of the cupboard is above reproach in every way: each door panel is a solid plank of yellow pine, deeply chamfered along the interior edges to rest inside the mitered door frames; these swing on large iron hinges, all fully original, revealing a well shelved interior retaining an early red painted ... moresurface. Large wrought iron nails are affixed in neat rows across the backboards and the sides of the case; this piece would originally have been painted, this paint later removed to show the wonderful heart pine woods, likely to allow the piece to more harmoniously blend with hardwood floors or exposed beams. Original turned knobs still operate both doors, though shrinkage over the years has resulted in a tight fit in the base doors- note how a worn"hole" in the bottom edge of the lower right door has grown from the need to pull the door open with more than just the knob.
