It measures 49" wide by 69" ... moretall by 18" deep and has a curdled original finish with all three of its curved glass panels in excellent condition and a locking door with its original key and three oak shelves with double plate grooves- it has a double mirrored back that shows age wear on the silvering- unfortunately it does have some other repairable condition issues which are that termites got into the soft secondary wood on the back and partially into the back left claw foot and a little along the underside front edge(see photos) the rest of the oak shows no other termite damage- the house it came out of was fumigated a number of years ago so it is free of termites- I had a friend of mine who is an expert with termites look it over closely and he 100% guaranteed it is termite free.

It has a couple of small holes above the bevel glass mirror on the right-hand side of the wood. I would guess it had a shelf there, but it doesn’t take away from the beauty of this antique sideboard. We used to get these all the time and they used to sell for thousands, but you can’t find them often anymore. Someone hung a mirror on the inside of the top section of the back which covered up the tiger sawn oak panel.

The doors are paneled and have very cool shell and foliage carvings. The hardware on the drawers and doors is original and there are two different keys which will lock and unlock each door. Besides the carved paneled doors. The other interesting carving on this piece is kind of a feathered or herringbone type carving. The top of the base is clean and in very good antique used condition.no major issues. The top has a shaped original beveled mirror and panels on each side and carving above those. The support columns are really nice turned columns with lots of detail and turnings. The very top is an Art Nouveau style crest. This sideboard will break down into five pieces.the base. The top, the crest, and the two turned columns so easy for transport. An exceptionally fine antique. Circa 1890's, quartersawn oak china cabinet with appled oak carvings in acanthus scrolls. A simple spindel gallery is to the top of either side. The front door has two glass panels, it opening to a top compartment, and the cabinet with four original stationary plain grain removable shelves. The door retains the brass handle, keyhole, and lock, no key. The four glass panels, and the two top wing beveled mirrors, are original and without damage. The cabinet is very nicely refinished to a yellow amber. It measures 6' 72" tall by 4'4" 52" wide by 1'4" 16" deep, the plate double grooved shelves 14-1/2" deep. Excellent condition: boards without cracks or chips, carvings complete. All glass is without damage, no backing spots or cloudiness to mirrors.

It measures 49" wide by 69" tall by 18" deep and has a curdled original finish with all three of its curved glass panels in excellent condition and a locking door with its original key and three oak shelves with double plate grooves- it has a double mirrored back that shows age wear on the silvering- unfortunately it does have some other repairable condition issues which are that termites got into the soft secondary wood on the back and partially into the back left claw foot and a little along the underside front edge(see photos) the rest of the oak shows no other termite damage- the house it came out of was fumigated a number of years ago so it is free of termites- I had a friend of mine who is an expert with ... moretermites look it over closely and he 100% guaranteed it is termite free.

VICTORIAN BENT OAK CURVED GLASS WALL CURIO CABINET. With stick and ball openwork. There are double doors with brass catches for each door, and curved glass side panels. One curved-glass panel has been replaced by a strong curved Plexiglass panel, probably when the cabinet was repaired some time ago, but it blends in perfectly. There are 3 levels upon which one may display curios or dishes: 2 inside the cabinet, and one on the top. Convenient dish-display grooves are made on all three display surfaces. The back of the cabinet inside is very neatly covered with a thin green fabric, which will beautifully and cleanly highlight your treasures without distracting from them. Probably the most renowned name in late 19th century American carved oak furniture is that of R J Horner. Based in New York. His company produced some of the most desirable pieces of the time. This is what I am selling here: A late 19th century curved glass quartered quartersawn oak china cabinet. This piece is of the very highest quality. All three pieces of glass have significant bevels and the entire back has the original mirror. But of most interest would be the extremely fine carving-carved maidens on either side of the door and winged Griffins on both sides of the top crest area. Note the fine and delicate work of leaves and vines in an organic style. Three plate glass shelves(one has a small chip) grace the interior. This is an absolutely wonderful curved glass secretary/desk/curio cabinet. This cabinet is uniquely free-formed carved as shown on the upper trim of the backboard. I have never seen such nonlinear craftsmanship. The curio cupboard has curved glass in front. And the mirror on top is beveled glass. Three lower drawers and the angled lid for the desk has a carved wood relief design. When opened, it serves as a small desk with divided nooks for letters, notes, etc. There is also a small drawer. This is tiger oak and in excellent condition. With only one issue: The handle on the left side of the center drawer has been bent. It looks like it could be bent back/restored, or replaced. Antique American Curved Glass Carved Tiger Oak China Cabinet c.1870
Excellent condition; additional photos available upon request. Glass is original. And original casters(not shown) are included. Purchased in St. Louis. Missouri, by Mrs. Elizabeth Frazee of Belleview, Kentucky. According to family lore, her husband Dr. A. D. Frazee gave money to the Christian church, and Mrs. Frazee responded to his philanthropic habit by spending comparable sums on fine furnishings. After Dr. Frazee died in 1875, the family moved to Columbia, Missouri, where the cabinet passed into the possession of Elizabeth's daughter Mary Frazee Russell. In 1901, Mary and her husband Walter moved to Deming, New Mexico, believing the climate would improve her health. Five years later, Mary died and Walter moved the family to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, building a cabin of hand-hewn logs. When the cabin was ready, Walter sent to New Mexico ... morefor the cabinet and other furnishings, which were shipped to Idaho by wagon and rail, finally crossing Lake Coeur d'Alene by steamboat. The cabinet then passed to Mary and Walter's daughter Julia Russell, who would marry Oliver Libby in 1930. In 1969, Julia gave the cabinet to Howard Libby, her son and only child. Howard, a Baptist pastor, moved the cabinet to his family's home in Wilsonville, Oregon, then on to Sweet Home, Oregon, Tualatin, Oregon, and Keizer, Oregon. Howard died in 2005, followed by his wife Dorothy in 2014. Offered for sale by Howard and Dorothy's children.

ANTIQUE CURVED GLASS- QUARTER SAWN OAK BONNET CHINA CABINET ANTIQUE OAK BONNET CHINA CABINET W/ CURVED GLASS This auction is for a Rare and Unusual Bonnet China Cabinet. This is made of Quarter Sawn Golden Oak. Curved Glass Sides, mirrored back on top and Quarter Sawn Oak Paneling on the back of the lower portion of this Bonnet China Cabinet.The shelves are also Oak and have a lot of Quarter Sawn in them. They all are original and have double plate rails on the back of each shelf. The top of the Cainet is a loving cup inside of the"Broken Pedimont" arch. There are a couple of pieces of the ginger bread missing for a long time but does not detract from the Cabinet's greatness. This comes with the original lock. Handles and key. The"Bonnet" of this cabinet has 2 curved glass sides and a center door that is seperate from ... morethe lower China Cabinet. There are 2 China Cabinets. A upper one"The Bonnet" and the lower one. This has all of the orignal Glass which is wavey and mirror. Along with the original finish.These have been used but well cared for. This Cabinet is about 75" tall- over all. Inside of the Bonnet is 13-1/2" tall and about 50-1/2" wide across the back, the cabinet is about 15" deep. Please see the pictures.
