Antique Primitive Painted Oak PIE SAFE 4 doors 2 drawers Needs Work. I've used this old pie safe in my pantry for years. I believe it to date from about 1900. It stands 70 1/4 inches high. 37 3/4 inches across and 17 inches deep. It features 2 top doors with 2 shelves. 2 drawers, and 2 bottom doors with 2 shelves. Hardware is original. And you'll notice the lovely wood handles. It appears to be oak under many layers of chipped paint. The piece has so much character. And although it is a heavy, sturdy piece, it is a bit of a project. The corner of a door needs gluing. The grilling needs some tacks, and the bottom shelf needs a bracket. I like the paint the way it is, but it does need cleaning up. Refinishing is an option, also. You'll notice that the very top of the pie safe does not appear to be original. Knobs and hardware, but the interior shelves and maybe some of the back may be replacements. This was the way I acquired it and have owned it for the past 10 years or so. Just a beautiful primitive piece. One of the tins has some denting, was like this when I bought it. A wonderful example of New England charm. THIS IS NOT A REMAKE FROM RECLAIMED WOOD. I have had this cabinet for about 30 years. It is from Vermont. I do not know its exact age. But it has to be from early 1900's at least. Small cabinet. More likely for jelly than a pie. The front door is made of punched tin. The rest of the cabinet is wood. Inside are shelves that are fixed. Outer measurements are 16 1/8" wide by 16 1/4" tall by 8 1/2" deep. Inside is 11 1/2" wide by 13" tall by 6 1/2" deep. Shelves have varied space in height.

Very interesting primitive punched tin cabinet. It has a wonderful colonial blue/gray paint I am not sure of its age but I would say before 1930 it has an identifying stamp embossed on the tin which reads PENNTREATY it has the Pennsylvania Keystone Mark as well and says copper steel. It looks like this possibly was a cabinet that originally hung from the ceiling It has typical age wear and dings you would expect of a cabinet that was utilitarian. Antique Rare China Cabinet Punched Tin Pie Safe Jelly Cupboard Wavy Glass
Up for sale is anther great find from our grandparents 200 year old Indiana Farm Estate. We would love to keep this great piece. But need to make room for the next generations, so it is time for it to find a new home. This piece(not sure if it is considered a pie safe or china cabinet) belonged to our great grandparents, and may have been in the family longer, but we have photos of it in their farm house from the very early 1900's. I tried to upload some of these photos, but due to their age and point of deterioration, was unable to. This cabinet can be moved in two pieces. The piece is in amazing condition for its age. The only issue I could find with it is that it looks like one of the wavy glass panels has been replaced, but may have just been re-secured as it matches the other glass panels(see photo 10) The punched tins on the bottom ... moreare in amazing condition, and original to the piece. ANTIQUE VICTORIAN KITCHEN CABINET(1)Ca. 1870s-1890s period step back cabinet/ pie safe. This one retains the round screens on the sides for the breathing holes. The best part about this piece is that it is has not been refinished or altered since it was manufactured. The photo speaks for itself. The reverse bears the name of an Oklahoma town and the I.T. for Indian Territory. This piece is about 79" tall x 21" wide. There is a mixture of woods on this piece.
