Great looking Grain Painted Hanging Meat/Pie Safe-Primitive cupboard,cabinet
This hanging meat safe is a great primitive and can be either hung up as it was originally used or free standing as you see it. Years ago meat was stored in a cool basement but was hung high to keep out animals. This one is grain painted in a gold or light oak looking finish. There is wear to the paint since it is so old. There are also some stains to the top surface. It is constructed of pine with screen on 2 sides and the single door. The tabs at the top have holes for threading a pipe through for hanging. The back is constructed of horizontal boards. Measurements are 36" high including the tabs. 31" wide and 18" deep. The shelves are slatted for air circulation and are removable. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. This is a great diminutive hanging corner cabinet with kind of a folk art look. It is solid pine with nice old thick and decorative mahogany veneer. There are several shelves inside which will make for excellent corner storage. There is a geometric design to the paneled door as well as an inlaid wood escutcheon. The drawer is hand dovetailed and chamfered. Although there is only one drawer. It appears to have three due to the three original wooden pulls or knobs. the top is pine as are the rear boards. One of the rear pine boards is very wide at 17" There are new hanging brackets on the back at the top. At some point a block was added so that this cabinet could also be a freestanding unit. It does retain the original lockset and key. Small 19th C. Soft Wood Hanging Cabinet w. Faux Paint Plus Brass Ornamentations
Purchased this weekend from a local family. This Antique cabinet measures 20" tall. 11" wide& 5" deep. The faux paint is subtle and the dark center section has finely punctured decoration. All the original glue blocks are in place. But sometime someone has locked the cabinet& lost or misplaced the key. The lock was taken out and a turn knob was put on. The brass center decoration is what I think is a woman and the corners are bearded men. The cabinet has great color and the original brass hangers. Great 19th century primitive hand decorated hanging corner cabinet. Has a design of a flower in a pot carved on the front of the door. Lock on the front of the door still works and can be locked and unlocked. The inside of this corner cabinet has two shelves. This hanging corner cabinet is in good condition for its age with no breaks or cracks in the wood. Antique CHINA CABINET(hutch) with a substantial and compatible. Antique DRY SINK. Although the China Cabinet was originally intended to hang on a wall. Right side up, with the thick crown molding at the top, all of the photos above, except for one(3rd photo) display the china cabinet upside down, as it has been positioned and used by the owner for the last sixty years. Metal hooks are on the back of the china cabinet for hanging it topside-up, as described, although the owner has never done this. Both items are dated from the mid to late 1800's and pair up beautifully in any traditional Americana styled household. These items are NOT reproductions as you tend to see so often online. The owner's grandmother ... morebought these and other items from an antique dealer directly out of a freight box-car from Pennsylvania. At the Van Nuys train station in California during the mid 1950's. They have been in the same family ever since. We are not furniture experts. We believe the furniture is made of pine. At one time the owner was told that the dry sink was possibly Shaker and/or Pennsylvanian and that both were in demand. They are used and bear some wear but are still functioning pieces. There is no evidence of repairs/restoration. There are no loose knobs. No broken glass, no broken hindges. All drawers are solid and easily open and close. The structural integrity of both items is ROCK SOLID. Please note that the tape on some of the photos was placed temporarily to secure the doors of the glass cabinet while in transport. Both the the China Cabinet and Dry Sink are made of wood. With glass or wood doors and old metal hinges held by some metal nails and/or screws. Circa 1910, made of oak, with original yellow rippled glass panes on a single door above a shelf, itself above a pipe-hanging shelf. You are bidding on a wonderful. Primitive, antique, 19th century/1800's, pine, wood/wooden, hanging cupboard/cabinet that measures 11 1/4" x 20" x 7 1/4" deep. As seen, it has a hinged, front door, 4, interior shelves, and a leather strap for hanging; the top shows some dovetailing on the left side, and one, metal, hanging eye remains on the top. This piece remains in excellent condition, showing wonderful wear; all joints are sturdy, and it weighs in at almost 10 1/2 pounds. As always, this auction has a low, starting bid. Antique Oak HANGING CORNER CABINET over 2 feet tall
This is a wonderful piece. I Purchased it 15 years ago from a Downtown Charleston Home renovation. Solid oak. Stands approximately 28.25" tall. Depth is almost 12" Which is the minimal amount of corner clearing you need. Door swings by two hinges and will open all the way to a wall. The door is 19" x 13" It can be hanged either way where door opens to the left or to the right. The interior shelves are approximately 10.25" deep from back corner to the inside of closed door. Three stacked shelves are 6.75" 6" and 5.75" Interior paint is chipping and has some discoloration. The oak exterior is in good condition. The keyhole and knob look like they could be copper due to the patina. There are two places missing the wood beading. Antique Oak Chestnut Primitive 8 Drawer Wall Hanging Apothecary Spice Cabinet
This antique cabinet was made of either oak. Chestnut or ash and it has a nice warm patina to the wood. There are some age cracks, some staining, the back board has a slight warp. there are no repairs, and the mounting holes are ovaled out from years of usage. It measures 17 3/4" x 11 3/4" x 4 3/4" deep and each drawer is 4" x 2 1/2" x 4" deep.

A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. Area under front of cabinet is 1 3/4" This corner cabinet as always beena corner cabinet and built as such versus being a hanging corner cabinet made from the top of a standing ... morecabinet.
