1800s Antique French curio cabinet. Needs Restoration
This is a beautiful antique French curio cabinet originally belonging to my grandmother. Passed to my mother, then to me. When moved. The original glass, professionally removed, was lost and is missing, as is the bottom shelf, as the pictures show. It possibly dates back to the early 1800's; although I am not sure of the exact date. R estored. It is worth any where from $1,000 to $2.000 plus. Restored, it is a good invest ment for a collector or would lend very well to any decor in a home. The cabinet measures 58" tall by 12" deep and 24" wide. The pictures show most all pertinent detail. This is an elegant beautiful French curio cabinet from the late 1800's. It is complete except for the glass and shelves which disappeared when we moved. As shown in the pictures) It has beautiful brass trim on the top. Legs and handle which are all complete. And the pictures on the bottom of the cabinet are still in nice condition as well. The cabinet measures 60" tall X 12" deep X 25" wide. It weighs 28 lbs. There are a few more pictures available if needed. This is a wonderful cabinet that certainly makes a statement wherever it is displayed. The cabinet is in its original finish and looks to be Mahogany or Walnut. It has wonderful carving which is still intact with no pieces missing. It has five original glass shelves and three original mirrors. Which are beveled. The curio interior has pale olive velvet, and one adjustable removable glass shelf. Includes the lock and key. The bottom case has a mahogany interior compartment.
