This antique china closet ... more/ buffet dates from the 1890s, and consists of a three-drawer double door base, fluted carved vases on the base doors, dainty detail carving across the crest of the shapely bevel glass mirror and a carved fruit basket crest on the very top. It has a couple of small holes above the bevel glass mirror on the right-hand side of the wood. I would guess it had a shelf there, but it doesn’t take away from the beauty of this antique sideboard. We used to get these all the time and they used to sell for thousands, but you can’t find them often anymore. Someone hung a mirror on the inside of the top section of the back which covered up the tiger sawn oak panel.

Beautiful scroll and leaf carvings, carved paw feet and a lovely mirrored back with a working lock& key. This handsome china cabinet measures 61 1/2 inches in height.44 3/4 inches wide and a front to back depth of 17 3/4 inches and weighs approximately 135 lbs. Antique quarter sawn oak index card file cabinet by Library Bureau Solemakers. Circa 1890. The six drawer file cabinet has solid brass pulls and maker's label. The drawers and cabinet are constructed with handcut dovetails. The back of the cabinet has an inset panel. The cabinet measures about 13 1/2" deep x 12 1/2" wide x 11 1/2" tall. The file cabinet has been restored. The original shellac finish has been re-applied by hand. All brass was removed and polished and the drawer runners have been waxed. The cabinet is in very good used antique condition. No problems found, only normal signs of light use. The rods for each of the drawers are not present. This 1890’s solid oak china cabinet features a curved glass curio section separate from the china cabinet. The legs are slightly curved, ending in trifid feet on casters. The sides of the china cabinet and curio section have the original curved glass. There are three oak shelves with grooves for plate display. The china/curio cabinet is in excellent condition, no repairs or replaced parts. The hardware is original.

1890's KILLER TIGER OAK Vintage Stacking Old Filing Cabinet Antique Office File
Dating to the 1890's. This is a killer tiger oak early office filing cabinet made by Library Bureau Solemakers. It measures 33" wide by 17" deep by 26" high. I have priced this stunning and rare sliding glass door stacking section at a very low price for a very quick sale. This will make an awesome addition to any set of stacking sectional oak files! Please note that I don't have a great digital camera. The pictures aren't so great but the actual file is 1000 times nicer in person. Its a real beauty! They didn't make many of them in the 1890's and obviously as they are made of glass. not many of the ones they did make have survived 110+ years. The overall condition is great though it is approx 110 years old. It isn't new or perfect. No big problems, very minor and overall it is in great condition. The cabinet has very deep rich tiger graining and a beautiful golden oak tone. There is some small pieces of veneer missing along the bottom on the left side as well as some small pieces of veneer missing on the interior right side near the sliding door. Nothing major and not a big deal. The interior has numerous original holes on each side so that shelves can be installed, the doors slide perfectly and I believe that the glass is original. The door even retains its original brass knob. As the doors are glass. My preference would be a buyer who can pick up the cabinet though I am willing to ship it. If you have an antique oak sectional filing cabinet and you have been wanting to add a glass doored section you already know how rare these sections are! Well, here it is.

Antique file cabinet from the long closed Statesboro. Georgia Sanitarium/ Norris Hotel building. The cabinet has four drawers with letter file inserts. The cabinet is solid quarter sawn oak and the file inserts are a heavy cardboard, the back has a veneer panel. The file inserts are removable. Each drawer has a slot for a label. The file box measures about 15 1/2" wide x 13 1/2" deep x 18" tall. Excellent condition. There are several chips to the rear back bottom as pictured. Antique Office Tiger Oak Globe Sectional Legal File Cabinet Index Card Section
I have up for sale a very hard to find antique/ vintage GLOBE WERNICKE quarter sawn oak stacking/ sectional file cabinet unit with top section. Not sure what this section was originally used on but believe that it was for a legal file/ filing cabinet. It measures approx 41-1/2" long and approx 13" deep. The underside is shown in one of my pics. Please make sure if you purchase this unit- that it will fit or work with what ever it is that you intend to use it on. This is your responsibility-and if you have questions please inquire prior to purchase. I do not want you to buy this and then be unhappy because you did not do your home work and figure out if it will work for your needs. The reason that I say this is- this is a larger- longer section than I normally see and I am not completely sure what it originally fit onto.Obviously ... moreit went on a Globe Wernicke stacking unit- but what I am not sure of- can it fit on various type of stackers or just a single type of sectional unit. Personally I have never seen this exact unit before and I have dealt for a long time. Globe made a myriad of different office and filing related type cabinets but this combination and length is one that I have not seen. The opening for the bottom where this section would fit onto another section is approx 41" long by 7-1/2" deep. This is a rare Globe Wernicke tiger oak cabinet. It has 12 drawers. Eleven of the twelve drawers have a metal bracket to hold a label. This cabinet has a tambor to conceal the drawers. There is a lock. But I do not have the key. A skeleton key may fit. I haven't checked. The cabinet has an oigee top and base. The back of the cabinet appears to be made of pine. SUPER RARE ANTIQUE (1890-1910) TIGER OAK FILING CABINET
You are bidding on a very rare. Possibly one of a kind prototype mechanical quarter/sawn oak filing cabinet. Appears to be the original finish. The bottom trim on right has had a minor repair many years ago. Not very noticeable. It measures 18.75" wide, 11" deep, 34.5" high and weighs over sixty pounds. Has three hinged pull down doors, each with 10 brass card holders. Each section has 10 metal file sections, one for each day of the month. To have access to file sections 2 through 10 in each drawer, you pull out the respective oak knob, starting on the right. 1st knob, file#2, since the 1st file folder is attached to the door. The cabinet is made of beautiful Tiger Oak. An usual cabinet, there are no drawers that pull out. The fronts slide up to reveal the slots for storing papers and files. When the"doors" are down, the entire cabinet can be locked. Each individual door can be locked in the up position by using a latch on the cast brass card plate. Antique American Curved Glass Carved Tiger Oak China Cabinet c.1870
Excellent condition; additional photos available upon request. Glass is original. And original casters(not shown) are included. Purchased in St. Louis. Missouri, by Mrs. Elizabeth Frazee of Belleview, Kentucky. According to family lore, her husband Dr. A. D. Frazee gave money to the Christian church, and Mrs. Frazee responded to his philanthropic habit by spending comparable sums on fine furnishings. After Dr. Frazee died in 1875, the family moved to Columbia, Missouri, where the cabinet passed into the possession of Elizabeth's daughter Mary Frazee Russell. In 1901, Mary and her husband Walter moved to Deming, New Mexico, believing the climate would improve her health. Five years later, Mary died and Walter moved the family to Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, building a cabin of hand-hewn logs. When the cabin was ready, Walter sent to New Mexico ... morefor the cabinet and other furnishings, which were shipped to Idaho by wagon and rail, finally crossing Lake Coeur d'Alene by steamboat. The cabinet then passed to Mary and Walter's daughter Julia Russell, who would marry Oliver Libby in 1930. In 1969, Julia gave the cabinet to Howard Libby, her son and only child. Howard, a Baptist pastor, moved the cabinet to his family's home in Wilsonville, Oregon, then on to Sweet Home, Oregon, Tualatin, Oregon, and Keizer, Oregon. Howard died in 2005, followed by his wife Dorothy in 2014. Offered for sale by Howard and Dorothy's children.
