One of the earliest& nicest counters we've had in selling these fixtures for 6+ years. Found in central Maine- this circa 1840-50 Store counter has awesome Mustard grain painted surface. I purchased this unique country store counter from a private collection in east-central NY near Saratoga. The couple had an amazing collection of many quality country store items. This was one of the cabinets. Base cabinet I believe is pine. The top of the cabinet has a custom made top(not old. But) the stain was matched nicely to the original surface color of the antique base. The cabinet measures 9′ 3″ long is 33″ high on front edge& rises to 38″ high on back edge(top of backsplash) The cabinet is 26.25″ deep. Drawer faces are 8.5 x 6.5″ Inside dimensions are 7″ wide x 11.5″ deep. Original hardware on drawers(nice old brass pulls) inside of all drawers are tin lined. Backside has shelving. Pretty fancy country store counter with six drawers---15013
This is a nice country store counter with 6 drawers. Piece has been completely restored and is in excellent condition-ready for your home. The interior of the drawers are clean and without odor or stains. A pretty elm wood store cabinet with a mellow and smooth patina. The front and sides have nice Victorian applied moldings and the drawers have the original cast iron bin pulls. I have sold similar bean or seed cabinets which are popular for kitchen islands or sometimes in a sewing room. Note that the top is larger than the base so would lend itself to bar stools if you desired. The overall size of the counter is 50 inches long. 29 inches wide and 33 inches tall.
