This is a great diminutive hanging corner cabinet with kind of a folk art look. It is solid pine with nice old thick and decorative mahogany veneer. There are several shelves inside which will make for excellent corner storage. There is a geometric design to the paneled door as well as an inlaid wood escutcheon. The drawer is hand dovetailed and chamfered. Although there is only one drawer. It appears to have three due to the three original wooden pulls or knobs. the top is pine as are the rear boards. One of the rear pine boards is very wide at 17" There are new hanging brackets on the back at the top. At some point a block was added so that this cabinet could also be a freestanding unit. It does retain the original lockset and key. A double scrolled back rest in front of a cornucopia carved rolled arm rest at one end and a deep inward roll at the other. A dragooned seat rail. Open carved pedals and lion claw feet support the lounge in front. Wonderfully turned legs support the lounge in back. The new upholstery is a powder blue damask with a grey/silver design~beautiful. Very solid and sturdy with, in my opinion, no apologies to speak of, this lounge shows only age appropriate ware. A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, solid dark reddish stained mahogany curio, or china, corner cabinet on curved front legs. The door is bowed with original wavy glass, the interior with two mirror back panels, and two stationary removable glass shelves. The bottom has an original olive velvet cloth cover. The three legs have a curved front shelf as stretcher. The curio is ornamented with brass mounts and a top gallery. Includes the brass escutcheon and the lock, no key. It measures 66" by 23-3/4" wide by 21" deep at center, the shelves 17-1/2" deep at center. Excellent condition: mahogany boards without chips or cracks, original finish, the top boards with round stain spots. The door glass is without damage, teeny nick to the side edge of one shelf.
