Great looking Grain Painted Hanging Meat/Pie Safe-Primitive cupboard,cabinet
This hanging meat safe is a great primitive and can be either hung up as it was originally used or free standing as you see it. Years ago meat was stored in a cool basement but was hung high to keep out animals. This one is grain painted in a gold or light oak looking finish. There is wear to the paint since it is so old. There are also some stains to the top surface. It is constructed of pine with screen on 2 sides and the single door. The tabs at the top have holes for threading a pipe through for hanging. The back is constructed of horizontal boards. Measurements are 36" high including the tabs. 31" wide and 18" deep. The shelves are slatted for air circulation and are removable. Antique Hanging Corner Cupboard Cabinet Blue Paint Mirror Primitive SE PA to start a new paragraph use- This is a charming old"make do" fancy piece out of Southeastern Pennsylvania. It's a heavy piece and the frame looks to be constructed out of second hand hard wood crating boards; the boards are 3/4" thick. There is old paint on it. Looks to be several coats of paint on the front from over the years, none of them new. There is plaster molding trim framing the outside edges of the front and framing the door opening. That's what makes it a"fancy" make do piece) This piece is solid and sturdy. There is light chipping of the paint on the front exposing some of the plaster in the molding. And overall age to the painted surface, the door closes easily but there is a slight gap at the top, there are also some gaps ... morein the boards. The mirror is old and has some losses on the back, but all are small and it's perfect with this piece. The mirrored glass is beveled on one side only opposite the door handle and was probably taken from an old mirror. I'd never replace it. Fancy metal pull that was also painted over at some point. These type pieces are getting very hard to find and this came up in a small shop here in PA. It's a one of a kind. This is not a typical offering from us, but I just couldn't resist it. And it's been confirmed as fabulous from all the"ooooh and ahhhh" comments since I brought it home, even from members of my household who arent' into antiques so much. The unboxed weight is about 22lbs(shipping weight about 27lbs) Measures Approximately 27 inches tall, the front is 16 inches across, the two back side boards are 12 inches across forming a"V" in the back, the cabinet is 10 inches deep at the widest point from the center of the"v" to the front, with one small shelf inside. The bottom is flush, and this will stand on the floor as shown or could be displayed on top of a table or other piece you may have to complement it.

ANTIQUE C1850 MAHOGANY PINE FOLK ART HANGING CORNER CABINET CUPBOARD DRAWER LOCK
This is a great diminutive hanging corner cabinet with kind of a folk art look. It is solid pine with nice old thick and decorative mahogany veneer. There are several shelves inside which will make for excellent corner storage. There is a geometric design to the paneled door as well as an inlaid wood escutcheon. The drawer is hand dovetailed and chamfered. Although there is only one drawer. It appears to have three due to the three original wooden pulls or knobs. the top is pine as are the rear boards. One of the rear pine boards is very wide at 17" There are new hanging brackets on the back at the top. At some point a block was added so that this cabinet could also be a freestanding unit. It does retain the original lockset and key. Height to top = 47 1/2" Width at widest = 30" Width across the front = 21 3/4" Depth from ... morefront to rear corner = 16 1/2" The canted corners are 4" deep each. Antique c.1800's American Federal Period Solid Pine- Pennsylvania Painted- Hanging Cupboard Chester County. Pennsylvania DESCRIPTION An American Federal Period or Earlier Blind Door Cupboard Made in the late 1700's or very early 1800's. An authentic antique of the American Federal Period. Here's a real rarity from an estate in Chester County, Pennsylvania. A fabulous antique. A large cupboard made of solid Pine. No venners on this beauty, even the interior shelves and the back of this cupboard all all made of thick and wide beautiful solid pine boards that have lovely figuring. Early Chester County Pennsylvania cased furniture made of pine with this fabulous feathered graining to the wood is rare to come across. And this is truly a spectacular example. All original. Nothing replaced. Shows it's age handsomely, a rich mellow ... morepatina to this most desirable wood. A very large cupboard. Measures 45" across the top including the cornice and 25.5" high, it's 11.25" deep back to front of top shelf and the cupboard itself is 9.25" deep. The interior has one shelf that is 7.5" deep. Under the shelf are hooks for hanging cups. All square nails visable on the back of the cupboard. The top board has a very small amount of warpage but isn't that noticeable. This 200 year old cupboard was once a hanging cupboard. It was used in the past as a purely decorative piece. It was excellently cared for and would look handsome as a hanging wall cupboard again. It is very heavy with these solid thick pine boards. So if you decide to hang it, it will need to be supported properly. The hinges are all original. As are the two latches on the doors. Antique Scottish hanging corner cupboard
This is a beautiful antique corner cupboard from Scotland. It has dental molding around the cornice. Three scalloped shelves, brass hinges, square nails. The wood has beautiful patina. The shelves are painted a deep green. This is not original paint. There also seems that there may have been a molding on the bottom but it is not there any more.

They are light in paint but still show. It dates back to late 1800's and is in good condition. The knobs are porcelain and the finish is nice and has a great patina. It has no damage, no broken pieces or chips just age wear is in great condition. I believe that it is either oak or beech as that is the wood most commonly used in these. Offered is a 19th century. Antique, hanging corner cabinet with the original, milk based, mustard paint. It measures 44" tall x 30" across x 14" deep. The back sides measure 22" across. The glass looks all original and is plastered in. It's truly a wonderful example of South Central, Amish Country, grain painted primitives. Simple molding on top and straight sides that curve at the bottom elevating it so that if you should choose to set it on the floor would serve as legs and hung on the wall in a corner they would display the simple architectural lines of the cupboard. Top and back are unpainted wood that tells the age of this sweet piece. Exterior is painted old reddish color with a turquoise interior and underside. There appears to b white paint under th e interior paint. Paint was done a long time ago. Not original to the period. There is a hole at each level on either side. And one in the center back for hanging purposes. These holes appear to be original. At one time there possibly was a door that covered this cupboard ... morebut was likely removed to use to display items. A slight indentation on the right side is tell tale of a door that is likely to have covered the opening of this cupboard. You are bidding on a wonderful. Primitive, antique, 19th century/1800's, pine, wood/wooden, hanging cupboard/cabinet that measures 11 1/4" x 20" x 7 1/4" deep. As seen, it has a hinged, front door, 4, interior shelves, and a leather strap for hanging; the top shows some dovetailing on the left side, and one, metal, hanging eye remains on the top. This piece remains in excellent condition, showing wonderful wear; all joints are sturdy, and it weighs in at almost 10 1/2 pounds. As always, this auction has a low, starting bid. A fabulous find is this antique solid quartersawn and straight sawn oak cabinet with handsome designs of inlay on the door and around the drawers. Two of the three doors are false. However, the drawer area encompasses the entire area under the main cabinet and the bottom. The door has a fantastic inlaid shell design. The classic canted corners help display how beautiful the patina is on this old cabinet. The door to the inside is paneled and is chamfered on the inside. There are several shelves. Height to the top = 42" Width across the front = 24 3/4" Depth is 19" in the middle and 20 1/2" on each rear side. Canted corners are 4" each. Area under front of cabinet is 1 3/4" This corner cabinet as always beena corner cabinet and built as such versus being a hanging corner cabinet made from the top of a standing ... morecabinet. It is in very good and ready to hang condition. There have been a repairs on this cabinet.some older than others.the very top left piece of molding has been replaced as well as the molding on the base on the left. Great Primitive Hanging 1 Drawer Cupboard All Original NE Find. LAST REDUCTION
Up for your pleasure today and a great find from a local Maine Coast estate is this excellent 1 door. 1 drawer hanging cupboard in all original condition! This true antique and primitive features early dovetail on drawer to the hand chamfered bottom. Nice original brass fancy handle adorns it. As you can see in pics, this piece had fancy scroll work done on it and the fading white lines show it well. Original knob on well made door. One original shelf inside is all this cabinet ever had. Below the cabinet on each side extends fancy cutouts. As pics show, some of the cutout areas have broken off over the years. Adds character the way it is and left alone, or one could easily trim off what's left flush to bottom of cupboard. This is just a great early cupboard fresh to the market. TIGER MAPLE HANGING CUPBOARD. HAND PUNCHED TINS AND HAND DOVETAILED DRAWERS
This sale is for a Tiger maple double door hanging cupboard. It has four antique tins that I personally hand punched from an original pattern. The pattern is called a Distelfink bird which is from the early Pennsylvania Dutch. The cupboard features top and cornice molding with early style dentil molding. The case is all mortis and tenon construction held together with square walnut pegs just as it was done in the early cabinet maker days. The doors are mortis and tenon construction and are hand beaded. The door closures are hand made tiger maple turnbuckles. The shelves. Top and base are also solid tiger maple with the shelves being hand beaded. It has all antique hardware: square nails, screws, hinges etc. It has two hand dovetailed drawers with hand chamfered drawer bottoms. All four knobs on the cupboard are hand turned tiger maple. The ... moreback on the cupboard is actually from an antique piece that I salvaged, is hand beaded and has the original paint on the back exterior. The cupboard is a very solid well-made piece so it is quite heavy at approximately seventy pounds. Measures 30 7/8" tall x 34 1/4" wide x 11 7/8" deep(at cornice) I am a fourth generation master cabinet maker and have always specialized in the art of Tiger maple reproduction furniture. I cut no corners and build my furniture just as all the great early cabinet makers did long before me. NOTE: I am willing to ship this UPS. VTG ANTIQUE HANGING CORNER CUPBOARD HANDMADE PRIMITIVE MILK PAINT AMISH 1800s
We have owned this old Cupboard for over thirty years. And have enjoyed having it every day. No matter what corner you hang it in, the whole room will come alive(not difficult to hang) We moved it twice- first time, from our Victorian Home, and second time to a newer home. Both times, Cupboard(triangular shape) fit perfectly in the corner of the room(should fit all standard rooms) We purchased at an Estate Sale in Sewickley, PA decades ago, and I can still remember the owner(quite old) not wanting to part with it. She had fallen in love with the delicate hues of the Milk Paint, which is a pinkish-gray on the front and a different color(bluish-gray) inside the cabinet. I feel the same today. It is very hard to describe these shades of pink-blue-gray, and the photos have not quite captured it. But that is the mystery of old Milk Paint, which ... morewas also made by hand. When we took down, we found one of the old nails, which I am including in the photos(hand-wrought nail) The wee wooden bar closure is adorable(turns, and locks the cupboard) rudimentary wood cabinet latch) I am not sure what kind of wood Cabinet is made of, but the planks are quite wide, and it is totally handmade, and most definitely Primitive. Cupboard measures. Shipping(total weight approx. 50 lbs) would depend upon how far away you live from Pennsylvania ~ my ballpark guess would be over $100. As this antique cupboard should be elaborately wrapped, and insured.
