A Handsome Antique cabinet wash stand Victorian Walnut Marble Top cupboard Washstand circa 1880's. This washstand measures a total height of 30" Total width of 34 inches, a total depth of 17 inches, and weighs about 50 lbs. The white beveled marble top shows some light staining. The base has a storage drawer at the top with walnut knobs surrounded by raised bead molding. The storage cabinet below has double doors with recessed panels surrounded by picture framed bead moldings. This cabinet was from my parent's collection and stood for 50 years in their home amidst many antiques. 19th C French Bronze Vernis Martin Curio Cabinet Vitrine Marble Top Hand Painted
Here is another lovely. Never touched, French 19th Century Hand Painted Vernis Martin Curio cabinet(or a Vitrine) bronze mounted to the max. This item can be used for display, on 3 blue velvet covered shelves and one storage compartment on the bottom(behind the painting on the bottom of the door. It stands on 4 curved legs decorated with one bronze sabo each. There is a single door with a functional lock and a key. The piece is hand painted on the bottom in the manner of Vernis Martin. Bottom of the front door has a courting figural scenes, a man and a lady sitting in the woods, while the sides have nature scenes- beautiful landscapes. Main feature of this piece, the hand painting, is of the best quality. Along all edges are bronze mounts, swag with rope and tassle on the top, floral and garlands are stretched all around. Top features a marble ... moretop, with a bronze gallery. All of the curved glass is original. Just great. Gorgeous feathered mahogany on the backsplash and front with early hand-cut dove-tailed end on the drawer. This cabinet measures 41 1/2 inches in height from the floor to the top of the back-splash. Height from the floor to the top of the marble measures 36 3/4 inches, this cabinet is 34 3/4 inches wide and 19 1/2 inches in depth and weighs approximately 100 lbs total. Gorgeous walnut cabinet with marble top. The craftsmanship of this piece is truly outstanding. the natural beauty of the wood markings are organized in such a way that it is so pleasing to the eye! The leather lining on the shelves dates back to before 1910s and makes this antique a real treasure. When it came to me. I found newspaper lining the bottom cabinet with the date 1922 so I can only assume this was passed down through families and in order to preserve the leather lining, the owner placed paper over it because it was a treasured piece for its new owner. Very heavy piece of furniture. But the bottom is separate from the glass case curio on top and all three marble pieces come off as well. Wonderful beveled corners. Great aesthetic details. Also has mirrored backs to the center and top pieces. Overall condition is good for its age with some minor wear like scuffs and a small crack in one door(see picture) that needs to be clamped and glued. All three locks work- with 2 different keys(included) Inside behind each door is an English adjustable shelving system with wooden shelves. Large center cupboard. Small drawer with Victorian hardware. Paneled side panels, really sturdy construction. Pink/orange veined marble seems original to the piece. But the previous owner broke the center one and glued it and them applied varnish- finish is a bit crackled. This 1800s Music Cabinet is about 40 in. high. 19 in. wide, and 14 ½ in. deep overall. The top has a gallery with a useable surface of 17 in. wide and 13 in. deep. The Marble Top was made to fit as a custom addition, probably when the top finish showed some wear. Made of hardwood, it has an oval beveled mirror that is in good condition overall with some small age flaws. Antique Burl Walnut End Table Nightstand Cabinet Cupboard Marble Top Dovetailed
High quality walnut and burl walnut cabinet stand with marble top. The cabinet could be used as a nightstand. End or lamp table, in a bath for towels, kitchen for utensils, spice cupboard, dinning room for linens or silver etc. and many other creative and designer uses. The cabinet measures about 14 1/2" x 12 1/2" deep x 29 1/2" tall. The marble top measures about 16 3/4" x 14" x 1/2" thick. Total dimensions with marble top are, 16 3/4" x 14" x 30" The drawer has dovetailed construction with a solid brass pull and burl grain. The paneled door has burl walnut veneer; the door is 1 1/8" thick. The cabinet sides are 1" thick. All secondary woods are pine. The frame construction is with hand-cut dovetails and through tenons. Very good pre-owned condition with normal signs of wear from use ... moreand age. There may be various small scratches from use. There is a small age crack to the right side of the cabinet. The piece has been cleaned and hand waxed. Excellent craftsmanship. No cracks to the marble; cabinet is tight and sound. Beautiful piece of furniture. There is a small area on the bottom with old, no active insect damage. This area is no active and has been treated as a precaution. The two interior cabinet shelves are not present.
