It stands on 4 curved legs decorated with one bronze sabo each. There is a single door with a functional lock and a key. The piece is hand painted on the bottom in the manner of Vernis Martin. Bottom of the front door has a courting figural scenes, a man and a lady sitting in the woods, while the sides have nature scenes- beautiful landscapes. Main feature of this piece, the hand painting, is of the best quality. Along all edges are bronze mounts, swag with rope and tassle on the top, floral and garlands are stretched all around. Top features a marble top, with a bronze gallery. All of the curved glass is original. Just great. Condition is good with usual age ware to the paintings(minor flakes) Height is 55.5" to the top. A pair of FINE circular gilt vitrine cabinets of the Edwardian/ Belle Epoque period circa 1890-1910 Price is for the pair. Likely Continental but possibly American. The cabinters are made in a transitional Louis XV-Louix XVI style. Each with modified cabriole legs, the gilt surfaces with applied neoclassical moldings of garlands and tapering floral and foliate emblems, etc. Each is fitted with one curved door opening to a cabinet lined on the bottom with plum velvet. With one glass circular shelf. The top has an inset beveled glass panel. The cabinets are of very good quality for its age. With only some minor gesso gold loss in a few minor places, and a few rosettes are missing, but not too noticeable. The matching cabinets had a history of ownership with a Graves family. The three scenes at the bottom and all the flowers decorating it are hand painted. The Cabinet measures 55 inches high by 26 inches wide by 14 inches deep. This listing is for a circa 1910 English Edwardian inlaid rosewood vitrine table or curio cabinet with curved glass display. The table measures 48 ½ inches or 123 cm high at the back. 30 inches or 76 cm high at the front to the gallery along the top of the table, 24 ¼ inches or 61.5 cm wide across the front, and is 16 ¼ inches or 41.2 cm deep. The front has a drawer that pulls out so that you can fill your display with all your treasures. It has a glass front and top and is lined with light brown velvet. The top of the table has a turned wood gallery on either side. The back of the vitrine has a rectangular mirror which supports the top of the vitrine. This part is quite decorative with a curved glass display ... moreat the center with a hinged door that opens. On either side of the center display is a small curved gallery. And also along the top. The vitrine is in overall very good condition for its age. The glass top has some surface scratches and some minor scuffs and dings to the sides and edge of the wood. There is a very small piece of decorative molding missing from the front top right. Also on either side the rectangular molding decoration is missing.
