The broken-arch pediment is striking and unusual. The thin arms lifting from the molded top in a cresting wave, curling into fine inlaid pinwheel rosettes; these opposing waves of the pediment flank a fine inlaid pointed urn finial raised on a plinth base of conforming inlay. The arched door is crafted with through-tenon joinery, the fragile corners supported with butterfly dovetails on the inside(possibly later) it features twelve glazed panels framed in scratched-bead walnut astragals, opening on original hinges to reveal a shelved interior. Each shelf is channeled to display plates and platters, the front edge of each shelf molded, one shelf crafted to hold utensils in the front edge. The case has outstanding proportions. These eased by the thick molding around the waist and the inlaid band around the shoulders- this easily divides the visual planes of the piece into graduated levels that are easier for the eye to digest. The bottom of the case has a pair of solid walnut doors framed in a matching inlaid band, each embellished with inlaid shield escutcheons to match the arched door, these opening to reveal a shelved interior. The entire case rests over original bracket feet. The construction of the case is very fine. The pair of stiles on either side of the case joined in some kind of hidden dovetail or butt-joint, running from just an inch above the ground through the molding of the crest. Offered here is a gorgeous Antique Ornately Carved Oak Cabinet/Cupboard/Bookcase circa 1880. This piece is in excellent condition with minor nicks. Splits expected in a piece its age. It features beautifully carved woodwork. The most elaborate carving is found on the cabinet doors. Each door features spoils of the hunt. One door features a pheasant and quail. The other door features a rabbit and a quail. The drawer doors are incredible featuring branch and leaf drawer pulls! The glass in the cabinet is original. What an incredible piece! AMERICAN PENNSYLVANIA DUTCH SOLID WALNUT CORNER CUPBOARD CABINET CIRCA 1820
This is an antique Pennsylvania Dutch solid walnut corner cupboard with two glazed(glass) doors that dates to the 1820's. It is mostly original including the front and back. The back has 14" wide lapped pine boards with the appropriate saw markings and cut nails. There are some newer nails(probably late 1800's) added to supplement the original nails. The bottom and shelves are cut from single solid pieces of wood(17" wide) And the upper shelf has grooves cut into them to prevent the dishes from slipping when stood upright. It features hand-made crown moulding. Two glazed doors with six panes of original wavy glass in each and two solid lower doors. The glass is held in with putty. It has a wonderful scalloped lower apron and the original iron hinges. There is a single drawer in the front with wide bevel bottom and wide hand-cut ... moredove-tails. The wooden knob is held in place be a hand cut screw. Although the original wooden clips are still in place to keep the left upper and lower doors shut, there have been 4 magnetic latches installed inside to keep all doors closed. These can easily be removed if desired. I do not see any maker's marks on the piece at all, but what appears to be the name"Bolton" is written in chalk in cursive on the bottom of the cupboard. The cupboard stands 87" tall and fits into a 32" corner. It is 52" wide and 21-1/4" deep overall(at the crown moulding) And 49" wide and 19" deep. Rare primitive Possum Belly Bakers Kitchen Cupboard. Circa 1880's. This piece originated from Indiana and is in very good condition. This piece was completely refinished on the outside last year and looks beautiful, The top part of the bottom has a few places where wood putty was used to fill. Measures approximately 6' 5" high, 43" wide and 26" deep. The bottom section stands approximately 29" tall. The wood is a combination of several woods. The top piece on the top section may not be original, but this is how I bought it. All drawers pull out easily, and doors close. Comes apart in two sections for easy hauling. There are two pieces of wood that connect the bottom and top. One piece is kind of split and may need to be replaced. Item is viewable upon request.

ANTIQUE SPICE CABINET DOLL CUPBOARD SALESMAN SAMPLE MAHOGANY W/INLAY CIRCA 1820
This is an original spice cabinet(or possibly doll dresser) Circa 1820. Finely hand crafted of solid mahogany with graduated drawers and a soft secondary wood for back of cabinet and drawer construction. Decoration is a simple dark inlay outline near the edge of each drawer, and another lighter inlay framing the knobs and center of each drawer. Parallel strips of light inlay are also used on the vertical members flanking the drawers. Dark"spots" accent the line work. All drawer joints are hand cut dovetails. A few mistakes can be seen in the grooves cut for the inlay. So perhaps this was an apprentice's work. Knobs are solid brass and appear to be original. All joints are solid throughout with no"wiggle" The original finish is gone and the base has been replaced at some point. One 7/8" wide board at the top of ... morethe back is also replaced.
