It has all Beveled original glass and mirrors. It looks to be made of Mahogany& Mahogany Veneer. It is in good condition with some nicks and losses to the wood from age and use(see photos for examples) It is European in origin and has some wood worm holes(found commonly in European Antique Furniture) There is some discoloration to the silvering on the original mirrors. Original doors have wavy glass and lift off hinges, missing some finials as shown. The carefully distressed finish from that time is very well preserved on deeply carved fruitwood. This is a stunning probably earlier 19th century Chippendale style solid mahogany cabinet. It consists of two pieces. The top has two large doors with 20 individual panes of glass which are individually glazed and create with the unusual framing a very interesting pattern. Some of the of the panes have been replaced. However, there are more old glass panels than new. A few parts of the framing around glass have also been replaced/repaired. The doors will lock with the original lockset and key. The base has two hand dovetailed and very roomy drawers.and the secondary wood is pine. There is a cool carved and shaped skirt in front and on the sides and the legs are cabriole which end in carved ball and claw feet.which are fabulous and detailed. The drawer hardware is new. It is in exceptionally nice original condition. The only exception to that is that there is a crack in the top of the door, that doesn't seem to effect the door, but is there. This is a stunning probably early to mid 19th century Chippendale style solid mahogany cabinet. It consists of two pieces. The top has two large doors with 20 individual panes of glass which are individually glazed and create with the unusual framing a very interesting pattern. A few of the panes have been replaced. A few parts of the framing around glass have also been replaced/repaired. The doors will lock with the original lockset and key. It may be originally of UK origin and possibly Irish. I have not nailed down where it was built but it came from a prominent Charleston estate. The base has two hand dovetailed and very roomy drawers.and the secondary wood is pine. There is a cool carved and shaped skirt in front and on the sides and the legs are cabriole which end in carved ball and claw feet.which are fabulous and detailed. The drawer ... morehardware is new. The finish is original. The lighter parts of the mahogany absolutely represent that rich patina that is only achieved over many. Many years. Inside. DESCRIPTION: Bidding is for an antique. Late 1800s, Walnut Burl Credenza/China Display Cabinet with serpentine base and top, beautiful hand carved trim and dome-shaped fruit-carved mirror. The glass cabinets have been lined with red velvet by previous owner. The velvet is only tacked in and can be easily removed. All three doors lock with the same key. Glass is original and without cracks or chips. The left side door trim is chipped at the tip top of the fleur de lis(see photo) but this was done very long ago, as the wood has a patina from being exposed for so long. The serpentine top is original but previous owner refinished it(see photo) There are several minor nicks and scratches as viewed in the photos.
