The broken-arch pediment is striking and unusual. The thin arms lifting from the molded top in a cresting wave, curling into fine inlaid pinwheel rosettes; these opposing waves of the pediment flank a fine inlaid pointed urn finial raised on a plinth base of conforming inlay. The arched door is crafted with through-tenon joinery, the fragile corners supported with butterfly dovetails on the inside(possibly later) it features twelve glazed panels framed in scratched-bead walnut astragals, opening on original hinges to reveal a shelved interior. Each shelf is channeled to display plates and platters, the front edge of each shelf molded, one shelf crafted to hold utensils in the front edge. The case has outstanding proportions. These eased by the thick molding around the waist and the inlaid band around the shoulders- this easily divides the visual planes of the piece into graduated levels that are easier for the eye to digest. The bottom of the case has a pair of solid walnut doors framed in a matching inlaid band, each embellished with inlaid shield escutcheons to match the arched door, these opening to reveal a shelved interior. The entire case rests over original bracket feet. The construction of the case is very fine. The pair of stiles on either side of the case joined in some kind of hidden dovetail or butt-joint, running from just an inch above the ground through the molding of the crest. It unfortunately has had something spilled on the front, that caused the finish to be bleached out in those areas. This problem may be able to be repaired with a simple oil treatmnt, but I cannot completely guarantee it. The cabinet is made of solid wood with a thin wood backing. The backing on one side is warbled from moisture, but this warbling does not come all the way through to the inside, although there is some discoloration on the inside in that area, and the bottom boards are slightly warped. This is all at the bottom section of the case, and therefore does not show unless the bottom doors are opened.

Offered is an Antique Federal Style Solid Raised Panel 4 Door Cherry Corner Cabinet. This beautiful cabinet has fantastic workmanship-the doors each have two raised panels. There is a three level cornice piece across the front that extends out 5 inches across the top-it does not extend to the slanted corner sections. The cabinet is 58 inches wide and 79 inches tall overall. The top section has two doors that are 20 inches wide for each door and 40 inches tall. The bottom section doors are 30 1/4 inches tall. The top section has two shelves that are grooved for a plate holder-the shelves are 14 3/4 inches deep and 51 inches across. There is one solid shelf in the bottom section. A very large and impressive antique. Circa 1880's, cherry stained maple Chippendale style corner cupboard. It is two piece construction: cupboard with two arched doors having sixteen panels(fifteen with the original wavy glass. The crest is broken arch type with carved flower rosettes on scroll necks, three urn finials on fluted plinths. There is an incised diaperwork to the front above the doors. The interior has an ivory color paint. The cabinet below has a center drawer between two faux front drawers, with brass batwing brass pulls. The two doors below open to a compartment with a shelf. There are two carved scallop shells on the doors. The front has carved claw feet. The interior doors of the cupboard are stained mahogany. The furniture measures 8'7" 103" tall by 4'2" 50" wide by 20" deep, the three ... morecupboard shelves 17-1/4" deep at center. Selling a gorgeous antique hanging corner cupboard. Complete with original key and lock. I believe this is walnut. Beautiful boards, all 1/2" thick with decorative cut edges on top, bottom, and on the sides. Cupboard door features a recessed panel with tongue-and-groove construction; brass keyhole cover, lock plate, and hinges; interior shelf gives two levels of storage inside, plus outside storage on the top; holes for wall mount present in each back panel. Decorative details include upper, lower, and side fretwork. Circa mid-to-late 19th century. This cupboard is unmarked and in very good. Pre-owned condition. Antique pine corner cupboard blind door 19th century narrow country primitive
A 19th century pine corner cupboard in a primitive country style. The finish is very worn and dry but not original… it looks like it was painted at one time and then stripped. The hardware has also been replaced; the lock plates on the back of both doors are missing but the doors do close and stay shut. It has a single door on top and a single door on the bottom. And it breaks down into two pieces for transport. The piece measures approximately 87" tall, 38" wide, and 21" deep- a nice narrow size. There is some later replaced wood on the back of the piece which visible in the photos. It is a well worn piece that has a nice country look… the molding at the top is a nice feature. Antique period American cherry glass pane door corner cupboard Kentucky KY?
A 19th century cherry corner cupboard with glass pane doors. The measurements are approximately 85.5" tall and 49.5" wide across the front. You should plan on it taking up about 32.5" of wall space from the corner out along the wall on each side. This corner cupboard is a ONE piece construction(it does not break down into two pieces) There are grooves near the back of each shelf in which to set items for display such as plates/platters/chargers. There is some damage to one pane of glass- it is the lowest pane on the right door(see photo) This is an antique piece of furniture. So there are some nicks, dings, repairs, and imperfections which are noticeable upon close inspection. We believe it may be a Kentucky piece and we believe the surface to have been refinished at some point. Also, the original locking mechanisms on both ... moresets of doors appear to have been removed and replaced. The top corners of the molding on the front appear to have been damaged/repaired. That said, the construction is quite solid and there is no major damage which has affected the integrity of this piece.
