DESCRIPTION: Offered is this antique"Chippendale Five Drawer Wall Hanging Spice or Tea Cabinet" Chippendale fretwork in the scroll and scallop design; a dark walnut finish on the exterior; cabinet and drawer fronts appear to be walnut; the drawer boxes are a softer wood. The top nail hole and drawer pulls have a carved double ring design; the lower nail hole might have been added at a later time; both have been rounded smooth. Construction is with pin nails and glue. Primitive Antique Wood Kitchen Counter Cabinet Two Drawer Spice Storage Great!!
Here's a fabulous primitive two drawer folk art cabinet which is perfect for displaying on a counter in your kitchen or dining room. It is a great old piece and will add a lot of charm and storage to your kitchen. There are other uses for it too. Use it as a small table in a tight space. The finish is rough as it was used for many years but it's still structurally strong and ready for you to use. The sides are made from slats of wood which are pickle stained on the opposite side(the side that you don't see unless you turn it upside down. There is chipping to the back of the piece as if it was veneered(no slats on back) but you will not see the back if put on counter against a wall. Nails of different kinds hold this piece together and it looks as if some were added as the years went on. The corners and edges are worn from years ... moreof use. This is true wear not reproduction wear- this piece is very old and well used. There are paint smudges, splatters, a small round patch to cover what I think was a nail hole. The knobs are made of wood, and are lighter in color than the body. The top and front are made from 3/4" thick, solid pieces of wood(probably pine) This was a utilitarian piece, one that was used a lot for a long time so it shows it's age. If early American/primitive is your look, this is perfect! You can clean it up or leave it as it. I will leave that to you. Measurements: 18 1/2" deep x 15" h x 9 1/2"w and fits nicely on a conventional sized countertop with room to spare in front. They are light in paint but still show. It dates back to late 1800's and is in good condition. The knobs are porcelain and the finish is nice and has a great patina. Antique Oak Chestnut Primitive 8 Drawer Wall Hanging Apothecary Spice Cabinet
This antique cabinet was made of either oak. Chestnut or ash and it has a nice warm patina to the wood. There are some age cracks, some staining, the back board has a slight warp. there are no repairs, and the mounting holes are ovaled out from years of usage. It measures 17 3/4" x 11 3/4" x 4 3/4" deep and each drawer is 4" x 2 1/2" x 4" deep.

ANTIQUE HAND MADE ASH WOOD 8-DRAWER SPICE CABINET. This is a very good example of early spice cabinets. It is hand made ash wood with eight drawers and a scrolled carved top and bottom. This circa 1880-1915 spice cabinet has unique pyramid peaked wood drawer pulls and measures 8 1/2" wide x 18" long x 3 1/2" deep. The condition of the cabinet is very good. Intact and all the drawers fit well and move in an out with ease. The wood grain shows very well but there are some stains from wear and some or the original nail holes protrude as seen in the photos above. Still a very useful piece of antique Americana! For sale is a nice VINTAGE OAK SCHOTTEN SPICE CABINET from ST LOUIS. It has 6 DRAWERS. 4 smaller drawers and 2 larger drawers. It measures: 20 6/8 in WIDE 25 1/2 in TALL 13 in DEPTH Small drawers are 3 1/4 x 18 1/4 in. Large drawers are 19 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. I bought this spice cabinet at an estate sale not far from St Joseph MO several years ago. The finish is nice. However I can't remember for sure if it was refinished, but I would say it was. Also. Notice the dark stain on the top of the right side as seen in the photo. The bottom of the drawers and back of cabinet are not oak but probably pine. This spice cabinet would date back to the late 1800's or early 1900's when the Schotten spice company was in business in ST Louis. I imagine it came out of an old fashioned country store.
