The hutch is in two pieces. The top has 2 shelves and the bottom has 3 drawers and 3 cupboard doors. The bottom cupboard is open without dividers so long pieces can be stored. The assembled piece is 82" x 58" x 20" One Christmas. A candle burned the edge of the bottom shelf(last pic) but I do not feel it detracts. It looks like a knothole. In 1985. Antique Golden Oak Medicine Cabinet – Ca. 1870-1880
I am a cabinetmaker in Southeastern Penna. When I have slow down time or between projects I build or refinish various pieces of furniture. I picked up this Ca. 1880-1890 Victorian Golden Oak Medicine Cabinet. I stripped off four coats of paint, repaired all loose glue joints, and refinished it. I finished the flush wall mounted cabinet in 2009 and it has not been used since the total rebuild[it has just been sitting around the shop] This cabinet is in excellent condition and offers no apologies. Mirror is in good condition– the lines and dots are reflections on the picture. Antique French vitrine china cabinet dates to ca 1890. Amazing form with all gilded ornaments wear of gilt age related. Hand painted signed Ch. Oliver scene of the lady with cherubs in front. Musical motives on both sides and the top. Floral wreaths along the sides of the glass walls. The inside lower part of the door if hand painted with bouquet of flowers. Two glass shelves included. The inside back wall has a mirror. The lock with a key is working. Great piece with a history. Solid wood. Wear to the paint age related. Size 72" hight.
