I am delighted to offer for your consideration. This antique corner cabinet. This piece dates roughly around 1840-70's. In the classic and lovely Empire style. Wonderful curved doors and arched wood detailing. Ones of this age and size and very rare and highly collectible! It stands 18 inches tall. From tip to tip at the widest point it is 17 1/4 inches. The two back panels that go against the wall are 12 inches wide. The top has a nice strip of inlay wood. It has it's original hardware but no key for the lock. The overall condition is very good and it is ready to enjoy. The piece appears to may have been painted at some point. Slight remnants visible. The doors are not flush and a space is present as seen. Antique Victorian Mirrored Corner Shelf Vintage Newspaper 1896 Ireland
Incredibly special hanging corner shelf with mirrors. Circa 1896. The piece has been carefully refinished and painted at our antique refinishing shop, and while doing so, we found a piece of newspaper from 1896 Daily Star lining the back! This likely indicates that the original of the piece is from Ireland- definitely UK, based solely on newspaper. Shelf is 38"H x 10"D. Small shelves are 6" deep, and middle shelf is 10" deep. Some imperfections in the wood, hence the reason it was at the refinishing shop. Original mirrors show some nicks in the silvering. We didn't want to mess with the original- will leave any further touch-ups to you. The newspaper piece is in good to great condition- it's been well preserved. News includes racing/cricket match stats and information on a local musical/stage production among other ... morefascinating tid-bits. A very unique Victorian corner etergere. This piece is done in mahogany with a marble top. The sides are trimmed in rope twist accents both on the bottom and the top display area. The bottom storage area has two curved panel doors with rich graining. One side can be locked in place with a slide stay. The other side locks. There is one shelf inside the storage area. The top has two display shelves and a top shelf, the backs of the display area are mirrored. There is a larged turned finial at the top and applied carved brackets at the base and each shelf. Just a very rare unique piece with great carved accents. Dimensions are 76" tall to top of finial by 24" deep at each corner and 34" wide from corner to corner.
