It unfortunately has had something spilled on the front, that caused the finish to be bleached out in those areas. This problem may be able to be repaired with a simple oil treatmnt, but I cannot completely guarantee it. The cabinet is made of solid wood with a thin wood backing. The backing on one side is warbled from moisture, but this warbling does not come all the way through to the inside, although there is some discoloration on the inside in that area, and the bottom boards are slightly warped. This is all at the bottom section of the case, and therefore does not show unless the bottom doors are opened.

A very beautiful and fine antique. Circa 1890's, Vernis Martin type gilt wood vitrine with hand painted riverbank landscapes, and a transfer courtship with hand painted scene. The interior has a full back mirror, two stationary removable glass shelves, and a removable salmon color velvet over wood board. Below that is a storage compartment. It measures 55" tall by 27" wide by 14" deep, the shelves 11" deep at center. Excellent condition: original unworn gilt finish, all original glass panels, mirror, and shelves. The courtship transfer print has flaking to his left. The case wood and legs are without cracks or chips.

A very fine antique. Circa 1890's, rosewood veneer over mahogany case, Louis XV vitrine on cabriole legs. One piece construction. Ormolu brass bandings and mounts. The vitrine has two stationary removable glass shelves, the back with dark pink brocade panel. It measures 6'7" 79" tall by 2'9" 33" wide by 17-1/2" deep, the shelves 14-1/4" deep by 29" wide. Excellent condition: original finish, rosewood without chips, ormolu mounts somewhat dulled. The mahogany interior is original finish. The side glass panels are beveled, the door plain glass. The brocade fabric is without wear or fading.
