Circa 1790 Item# 130002IRP01 This is a wonderful English Chippendale ... morePeriod Carved Ball and Claw Foot Antique Game Table. Late 18th Century c. 1790. It is a piece upon which no expense was spared in the production. As every design embellishment commonly associated with the period was executed on this piece. The mahogany top has a nailed quarter-round rim applied on both levels, opening on original brass hinges and untouched screws to reveal a replaced felt surface bordered by mahogany. It projects softly over the frame. This being covered in vertically grained mahogany veneers not just on the front and on the sides, but also along the entire back. This added expense of finishing the back leg surfaces and adding the thick veneers is typically superfluous and considered unnecessary, as the table would remain against the wall- this detail certainly hints this was a commissioned piece for a home of means. The frame is dovetailed pine, as evident when opening the rear gating-leg, the drawer blades likewise dovetailed on either side as they stretch horizontally beneath and above the drawer. The facade of the table has a single broad drawer in the center. The edges framed in tacked cockbead molding(absent on the right side) around the dovetailed oak secondary woods, the bottom crafted of five untouched oak boards nailed perpendicular to the face. The cast brass bail pull handle is absolutely gorgeous, an entirely original and entirely hand forged work of art still retaining it's original backplates, pins and nuts. The underside of the apron has applied gadrooned molding. Nailed every few inches from beneath with short iron nails, carved to match up with the outward flowing acanthus scrolls of the knee returns. The workmanship in the carved knees is exacting, the crisp flowing rococo lines simply sprawling over the sharp knees and down the leg as a natural outgrowth from the gadrooning. Gorgeous antique pine welsh dresser purchased from an antique shop in London. This came out of an old farmhouse and was a built in which accounts for the top cornice corners missing. It has loads of character with various marks of wear and color variations as one would expect of a piece this age and of this type. There are traces of its original paint. It is a pot board style dresser with two 10 inch boards on the base where I stored baskets. It measures 6 feet(72 inches) long. The main cabinet is 20 inches deep with two big drawers. It stands 3 feet(36" tall. The handles are brass but may be replacements. I'm not sure. The plate rack is 58 inches tall making the total of the dresser just under 8 feet tall. Country Pine 1890 Antique English Hand Crafted Corner Cupboard. This charming country pine corner cabinet from about 1890 originally had no sides or back. It was built into a corner about 1890. About 50 years ago, the back and sides were added to make a free standing cupboard. Knotty pine has deep moldings. There are some shrinkage separations and warps to the doors from age for antique character. The warm honey finish is in extremely fine condition and has been waxed and buffed so only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its glow. This antique furniture from England has carved turn buttons to secure the doors. Dimensions are 55 1/2" across the crown tip to tip. 7' tall and the sides are 26" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown. The hutch is in two pieces. The top has 2 shelves and the bottom has 3 drawers and 3 cupboard doors. The bottom cupboard is open without dividers so long pieces can be stored. The assembled piece is 82" x 58" x 20" One Christmas. A candle burned the edge of the bottom shelf(last pic) but I do not feel it detracts. It looks like a knothole. In 1985. When my mom purchased the cabinet in Denver CO, it was appraised at $2,750.00. I will put the slip in the drawer where I found it. I am asking $1950, which is 30% below that appraisal. English Pine Chest of Drawers c. 1850 "Bigfoot"
Here is an English pine chest of drawers. Early, with huge feet, dust shelves, and an old, possibly original, finish. I've bought and sold enough English pine to say this is actually a linen press base, not a'normal' chest of drawers. These mid 1800 items, always two pieces, were frequently separated in the later decades when closets were available. The top would have a base added and you now had two chests of drawers. The top and backsplash on this piece were probably added when the top was removed. All that said, it's an impressive chest with dovetailed drawers that work well. The gap in the top 2 boards is age related, just shrinkage. Measures 44" wide. 43" high, 21" deep. Pick up here or freight.

A great hutch two covered bottom cabinets with latched doors- it was in storage and the top corner of the pediment was broken off but the piece is available and easy to nail back on.This was purchased in the 1980's at an antique store in NYC that specialized in imported English antiques- it is a farmhouse hutch composed of old pine and dates from from the late 1880's- 1900's. This is a really fabulous English antique pine hutch china cabinet It has 2 sections. The Lower section has 2 doors with a shelf inside, for lots of storage, and 2 drawers with pull handles. The upper section has 2 glass doors with 2 shelves inside, so you can display all your china. As you can see in the photos there is some lovely trim molding detail on this piece. I bough this from an antique store in England several years ago. And had it shipped here. I recently had this in a local antique store on consignment for $1900.00. Sadly. Antique English Pine Footed Carved Cabinet/ End Table with Cartouche. Shelf Here is a great little English pine cabinet from the 19th Century. This cabinet has a deep scrolly carved front door with decorative antique brass cartouche and plaques. Inside there is a shelf. It works well as a narrow end table by a chair or as a small accent table placed anywhere you need an accent piece of furniture. The cabinet measures 21 3/16" High by 15" Wide by 7 3/4" Depth. This antique is in great condition. But the door latch inside is missing one of its locking prongs so it does not stay closed all the way without some tape. The locking system needs to be replaced. You can find something that will work at Home Depot to replace this. I taped it on the inside with some tape and it did the trick. The side of the cabinet has a keyhole so at ... moreone time this little cabinet locked. I was thinking of getting a kitchen cabinet magnet style shut system to put on it, but decided to leave repairs to the next owner as they may have a better way. At any rate, you can get it to close well without much effort one way or the other. I bought this cabinet in the early'80's in an antique store which brought in containers of antiques from England. We are scaling back so I need to sell some of my pieces. Pine furniture works well in all types of interiors. It mixes well with both light and dark woods. This antique cabinet has a nice centered cartouche on the front of the door surrounded by four smaller ones placed in the corners. These antique brass plaques have a central cartouche with floral. And scroll design- very nice. The front feet are bun style. This little cupboard is in very nice condition. Anyone who needs an accent piece will be thrilled with this one. Pine Primitive English Country 1860's Antique Pewter Cupboard. Item# B-19729. A picturesque country pine pewter cupboard was hand crafted in England around 1860. This well worn antique furniture is solid wormy pine with lots of losses to the wainscoting back. Mars, stains and dings for character, see photos. The finish is very well preserved. And has been waxed and buffed so that all that is needed to maintain its patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth.
