As you can see from the pictures it has a flip down desk leaf that hides 2 small drawers. Below the leaf are 2 more small drawers. With 2 more side by side drawers, then below those drawers are 3 more large drawers. Antique Burl Wood Veneer Lap Desk Storage Box
Antique burl wood veneer lap desk possibly a presentation piece. Needs some TLC. Measures 12-3/4" x 9" x 5.5" Inside writing area is a blue velvet which is torn where the 2 boards meet/folds. There is a brass inlaid medallion with 3 initials"FROM" and another set of 3 initials. There is cracking. Splitting and some raised areas on the wood veneer. There are 2 nails used as pins to hold the hinge together. Really quite a shame it's in this condition, but with some patience and dedication, it could be restored. Antique Burl Wood Plantation Desk Circa 1850 Custom made in Indochina
This plantation desk was custom made in Indochina circa 1850 it was commissioned by my Great Grandfather and fabricated by local craftsmen He had on staff during the time. The time period was during the French Occupation of Indochina in 1850. It is made of Burl Wood and I have a current appraisal on this piece from a reputable appraiser. The appraisal is a month old. I've listed this for what I was told is a low fair market value for this unique item. This obviously has been in my family since fabrication. I dont have the room for it, although I love this desk its always complimented when people come to my house. I am asking what the fair market appraisal is for this item. The appraisal was done this year.

Orig Victorian Era Shabby Antique Carved Burl Wood Woman's Desk Tapesty Top Mums
Original late 19th century(gorgeous from every angle) woman's carved wood desk. The original brass pulls are well intact. The drawer pulls with ease and it has a lock with no original key. The finish wood at the top and sides of the desk is a fine tight burl veneer(probably over carved walnut) The desk top has an original tapestry which has a multitude of chrysanthemums and/or peonies and as can be seen, there are holes, pulls and wear into the tapestry. The tapestry portion measures roughly 21 by 34" There is some surface wear in the wood at the corners and areas where one would expect from an ot that has seen continued use. It is all intact& strong. At the top are a few very small pieces of burl veneer missing. but the tiny spots are old and smooth from, as above mentioned, continued use. It measures 40" wide, 27" ... morefront to back and 29-1/2" in height. The tapestry dimensions are about 21x34" Please write with any inquiries. Additional photos are available. just drop a line. Antique burl wood late 1800's secretary drop front desk cabinet. This piece has a key and 2 cabinets with glass on the top. There are 3 shelves for display. The desk folds out and has felt on the writing surface. It has simple and clean lines and is 2 pieces. It has a simple scroll design in the wood for the corners. It measures 89 inches tall. 42 inches wide and 21 inches deep. There are some small chips in the wood and a piece of the center decoration is missing. Please look at the pictures.
