It is in excellent vintage condition and truly stunning. We removed all of the brass mounts from the legs and drawer pulls. They were all hand polished/cleaned removing years of tarnish and oxidation. We then sprayed them with a clear lacquer topcoat so they will maintain their lustre for years to come. The desk and chair were given a light restoration and cleaning. They were then both hand rubbed/polished with 2 coats of clear paste wax. We gave the chair's upholstery seat a cleaning with a professional hot steam extractor machine. The leather top is in excellent condition- no rips. Damage etc. This is a wonderful set with great contrast between the black lacquer and brass accents. It would make a great addition to any interior. This is a superb large mahogany writing desk bureau made in England circa 1850. The condition is very good. The desk is far better than the pictures suggest. It has all the original brass handles the drawers are run fine and are solid oak with dovetail joints. It sits on bracket feet and has the original carrying handles to the back. The center door to the inside has the original key. Measurements are 44 wide. 44 high, 24 deep.

This really was thew work of a master craftsman. The marquetry is complimented by the fabulous gilded ormolu mounts which adorn this piece. It is serpentine shaped and finished on all sides so that it can stand freely in the middle of a room. And is offered in excellent original condition. This is a very nice mahogany with satinwood inlay American writing desk. to the top behind the door there are drawers with pigeon holes. To the base there are there drawers to either side they are there compartments for keeping bottle of drinks. It has the pull down flap for writing with a green baize. It sits on square tapered legs with some inlay. The top comes of the base so its easy to transport. A very nice American piece of antique. Measurements are 41 wide 48 high 21 deep. Antique American Mahogany Writing Desk Bureau with Brass Handles Made in 1800s
This is a very nice very heavy Desk Bureau made in USA circa 1820. There are a few little repairs to the flap but the rest of the desk is pretty good. The colors is a brown and slightly reddish. The drawers and the flap has satinwood string inlay. There are small areas were some is missing, it sits on splayed feet and has brass handles which may not be the original ones. The back and the drawer linings again are all original with dovetail joints to the drawers. Its fitted with 2 envelope drawers to the interiors and many small drawers with a few small brass handles missing. But we will try and find these before its sold. The slides work fine to support the flap. Measurements are 42 wide 20 deep. 43 high.
