Here we have for auction a stuning Napoleon III Empire style mahogany and brass inlaid twin pedestal desk dating to the mid 19th century. This beautiful example has a moss green baize inset top over a bank of three frieze drawers being raised on twin pedestals with column detailing on spread pad feet. The cupboard doors open to reveal sliding drawers and shelves. The desk is also finished to the rear in a similar style so could easily be used in the middle of a rom.
