Antique Vintage Child's Wood School Desk Bench Chair - very nice condition!
This very nice late1800s school desk will look great anywhere in your home. The bench seats folds up. The desktop has a hole for inkwell and a groove for pencils. Very nice ornate wrought iron legs add to the beauty. Inscribed on the leg are the patent dates from 1881. 1890, and 1891. Sorry for the poor quality of the photos but the words are much clearer than these pictures show. There are many uses for these school desks as a decoration or actual use in your house. I have seen some used as very nice plant stands. This desk is in great shape for it's age with some minor scratches and aging. Antique School Desk Ward Ware Buffalo NY 1881 Vintage School Desk Youth Desk OLD
PLEASE READ ENTIRE AD AND VIEW ALL PICTURES! You are looking at a Couple of Primitive Antique School Desks. THEY ARE BEING SOLD BY THE PIECE. BUY BOTH FOR A SET OR JUST ONE WITH 1st CHOICE TO 1st BUYER. These are old late 1800s early 1900s. I believe the 2nd desk(pics 8-12) older than the 1st one pictured(pics 4-7) The 1st desk has more adjustment than the other and just appears to be newer with more adjustment options: entire desk and seat can be raised or lowered and seat has a pitch adjustment. It is cast 1881 but that is a patent date and I believe It is closer to early 1900s. The 2nd desk definitely appears older with 1881 stamp and I believe is late 1800s with the only adjustment is the pitch of the seat. Both have ink wells so they are on the older late 1800s to early 1900s. Seats fold up on both but the desk folds down on the newer ... moredesk. Both are made by the Ward Ware Co. Buffalo New York. I love the old patina of the wood. All castings of the maker and patent dates are cast into these pieces. Possibly they are real close to the same age but just different models. I like the fact that they both have decorative cast Iron frames although each one has It's own unique look. I believe they look good together. They both have a number cast in them, the newer has a"4" and the older has a"1" possibly row seating numbers. I would prefer LOCAL PICKUP but I will ship. It will be expensive and calculated by your location and they will be BROKEN DOWN COMPLETELY for shipping. There will not be any combined shipping since each desk will go into a separate box. Vintage Late 1800's School desk Good Condition Great Patina !!!
OLD VICTORIAN CHILDS SCHOOL DESK DATED LATE 1800'S GOOD CONDITION Material: Oak Steel/wrought iron Desk is all there I did nothing to this desk to restore it. Ive had antique stores look at it in the past. They said it was somewhere between 1870 and 1890. Some of the oak boards are loose needing screws. This desk has great Patina! Vintage 1881 "The Fashion" School Desk
Here's a super nice 1880's school desk. The school desk is called"The Fashion" and is made out of cast iron and wood. The school desk from The Sidney School Furniture Company of Sidney. Ohio from the late 1800's. The slats of the seat appear to be different types of wood, but they also appear to be original. The desk top has a single hole for an ink well. The leg castings are beautifully ornate but not over the top, with the best part being The Fashion prominently cast on the top of the legs. This desk has held up well for more than a century with some minor scratches and a couple of small"artworks" on the desk top. LOCAL PICK UP ONLY. Vintage Child Desk.1900's. This is a a piece of history. Great for a vintage setting. Its heavy for its size. It fold up. Legs are made of cast iron. My desk were never made like this. It has scuffs. Scratches, kids names on the wood part. I am sure lots of kids were bored when they sat in this desk. This is a antique school bench for a desk. It has ornate cast iron on both sides and is marked JM Sauders#2 Pat dec 1850. The bench is 30" high x 12" wide( bench seat) x 23.5" long. There are two spots on cast iron on very bottom were pieces are broken. The wood does have some carvings on it from kids in school. The wood is beautiful and this makes a great decorative item. It is fully functional and very sturdy! I noticed that one of the screws is missing from the top portion of the writing desk so the top is a tiny bit loose with a slight wiggle. There are some pen marks and paint marks on the desk- you know how kids are! There is a 4 in split in the wood on the top writing desk. There are scuffs and scratches from use/storage.
