Hi. I am selling this really nice vintage desk. On the back there is the number 2449. Inside the top drawer is the metal label of Johnson-Handley Johnson Co. I have included a picture. The drawers are dove tailed and all of the drawers glide smoothly. This desk is very solid and very nice. But there are few small things I would like to point out. I have not polished or done anything to it since I received, including not dusting. There are some water rings on top, also a scrape on the top back left hand corner. On the first large drawer, down in the very right hand corner of it is a chip. Also on the left hand side there is a slight gap, probably just needs a tap but I don't do those things. It measures 42" tall, 33" wide, and 18" deep. This item is a pick up only. I am located about 25 miles south of San Francisco. It is ... morea very beautiful piece. Antique/Vintage 1920's Style Half Secretary Drop Front Writing Desk in Mahogany. The desk has beautifully carved fluted front cabriole style legs and simple rear legs. The full drawer has 2 ornate brass pulls which have decorative cutout pulls and pull plates; the bottom side of the drawer carved in a serpentine design. Vintage Parlor Drop Leaf Writing Desk/Secretary With 1928 Brass Plaque
Up for bid is a vintage drop leaf desk/secretary with a brass plaque indicating it was presented to Mr. Dudey S. Bradford( Senior Captain And Boys Instructor) by the members of the swimming section of the Dudding Hill Estate Association on the occasion of his marriage. September 6 1928. This is all I know about the history of the desk which is in good condition and 41 inches high. 29 1/2 inches wide, and 16 1/2 inches deep. It has two pull out braces to support the writing surface and inside the desk area are eight cubby holes and two small drawers to help keep your desk area neat and organized. Also at the bottom are two drawers for more storage space. I am not an expert but have described this desk as best I could so please check out all of the pictures to see the condition for yourself.
