The secretary is in fair condition, and unfortunately has some ... moreissues. The shelves are loose within the bookshelf / Vitrine section although the glass is intact on the front of the door. The secretary has a mirror, that is on the top at the right side and unbelievably gorgeous carved details and applied accents all throughout. It also has the original metal hardware, which is absolutely incredible and ornate as well. The front door of the secretary that would open down as a writing service has been broken off, and in half horizontally, however, the hinges are intact and it could easily be repaired. This door is 14" top to bottom, 20" wide. There is a lot of light staining and wear as well as scratches and dings to the finish.

It has burl walnut panels coming down both sides, heavy crown molded top and a crest with big ball finials on each end. It has a commode base with three drawers and a door. The only thing I don’t like about this cylinder desk is that the finish is light, similar to a cherry, but it is walnut wood. It has the original heavy bold brass hardware, and is in really nice shape. The pull-out writing surface has green felt on it. When you open the double panel cylinder roll, it reveals a simplistic double drawer interior that is simplistic.

This is a lot of 9 bookcase sections plus 3 tops and 3 mission style bases. 7 of the section s are Globe W ernicke and 2 are from Lycoming Furniture. They are identic al to Wernicke and fit perfectly. The finishes vary.there is walnut. Mahogon y. And I believe red oak. The pieces are solid and the glass is complete. All the doors slide easily. There is one door that needs to be h ooked back on in the pictures but it is compl ete. 2 doors are missing knobs e asily fou nd on Ebay. A ll of them need refinish ing.there are scratches. Marks.
