FINE HANDSOME MAHOGANY ANTIQUE FEDERAL HEPPLEWHITE STYLE PARQUETRY INLAID SIDEBOARD Great looking estate piece. This is one fine antique sideboard with a highly detailed parquetry inlaid backsplash. Solid mahogany and some very nice crotch mahogany veneers. This is a very handsome. Bench made piece from the late 1880's to the early 1900's. High style with plenty of cabinet space and good depth. There is typical wear due to age with some scuffs and light scratches. It appears that the piece has been reduced in height by a few inches and the back legs are spliced and reattached in a crude manner. The piece is sturdy overall and does show well. Fine antique French or Biedermeier style Secretary 1800s beautiful wood grain
We purchased this wonderful piece in south boston. Virginia. It is 84 inches tall, 22 inches deep, 38 inches wide. The wood is like a birdseye grain but it could me a more exoticwood. It is really beautiful. The piece is in very good condition. The desk lid misses completely closing ever so slightly. I have shown this but it does not detract in any way. Because of the ebonized accent, I call it a biedermeier style. I believe it is from the 1800s. Please arrange pickup south of richmond. Exact address to the buyer upon sale.
