The desk is all carved. 3 different areas displays the shield as what you will see on a wing griffin by Horner. This is why we think it is absolutely made by R. J. At the top it is 42” wide. Where the bowed out drawers are front to back is approximately 23” And at the top back center the crown board it is 50” tall. The top surface for setting items of choice is 42” wide x 10” front to back. The heavy drop lid is 35” wide x 15” When this drop lid is down you have a total work surface area of 35” wide x 25 1/2” front to back. HERE IS WHAT IS FUN. the top center drawer pulls out and you have 2 valuable or coin drawers that pull out to retrieve your valuables. In other words. 2 little safe drawers.
