From my collection of antique scissors: These may have been Barber scissors. Made by a German company, D. Peres of Solingen Germany that had an eye for business. He made various items of cutlery and usually showed an image recognizable- usually by the growing population of America. This pair of scissors depicts the White House on one side and the Capitol building on the other. They are tight and cut paper and hair(I can't find any fabric that wants to be cut. They measure just over 6" long and are made of steel. The shiny surface has worn off on the handles. Probably from the early 1900s. We ship only to US LOCATIONS. Thanks for looking.

Vintage Ornate S.R. Droescher SRD Embroidery Scissors - Solingen Germany
These ornate vintage embroidery scissors are made by the S.R. Droescher(SRD) company in Solingen Germany. The handles are formed in the shape of two creatures; swans. Birds, or perhaps serpents? You be the judge- see photos. The blades are a little loose but still great at cutting material. Tried to tighten but the screw is stuck firm. I imagine a good cleaning will help. Great vintage condition. Found at an estate sale in Indiana. I'm a new seller to eBay so will work hard to make sure you receive this quickly. I have for auction a pair of ornate pair of scissors that are 6 1/4" long. They are marked Solingen Germany on one side and marked EL with a crown. EL stands for Eisenberg-Lozano Inc. who were importers& distributers from 1950 to 1969 in the USA. I believe they are Silver Plated. They have an ornate design of grapes and leaves. I consider the condition to be unused but because of the age there appears to be some light tarnish in a few spots. Please view the photos for condition.
