Vtg Pearl Handled Butter/Pate Knife w/Sterling Collar
Up for auction is a 6 3/4" long butter/pate knife with a pearl handle and sterling collar which is 3/4" long and 1/2" wide. The collar is decorated with a leaf pattern. The blade has a cornucopia engraved on one side. The pearl handle has a very tiny dark spot on it otherwise it's in good used condition. I try to describe things thoroughly. This auction is for a gorgeous and very old Lemaire FI Paris Opera Glasses. They come from an Estate but still are in excellent condition. The mother of pearl is perfect without any chips or cracks. The lenses are free of scratches. The brass/metail is in good condition but could probably use some polishing. I see some small dark dots on it. Not too much, I guess it is from age. There are no scratches on the brass. The piece is marked on the lenses Lemaire FI Paris, and it is marked on the brass with Made in France and also a bee mark. The handles is 4 1/2" long, the piece is about 4" wide without the handles and just short of 3" long not counting the handle. Mother of pearl handled fruit/dessert/tea knives(6) Boxed Set Offered are six mother pearl knives with silver plated blades and ferrules. The silver manufacturer was Christopher Johnson& Co. Sheffield. The blades do show wear which is to be expected, although the mother of pearl is in good condition. 5 of the knives are of a simple design and 1 is more elaborate with etching on the blade(and the Maker's Mark on the reverse) and the handled has a carved design as well. Each knife measures approximately 6" long and comes as a boxed set. The box has some minor damage but is in otherwise good condition. Box measures 7 1/2" by 6" by 3/4"

Up for auction is a Victorian Sterling Silver Handled Curling Iron w/Mother-of-Pearl Button Opener. Approx. Length 6 1/2" overall. Handle length 2 7/8" Total weight: 28.8 grams. The curling iron is in very good condition with normal wear and is guaranteed old& authentic. I would guess the age to be in the early 1900s. I bought this piece at an estate sale about 25 years ago. This is a steel curling iron with sterling handle and mother-of-pearl button opener. The curling iron opens and closes with no problems. The handle is decorated with flowers and vines on both sides. It is also marked"Sterling" on both sides of the handle. I don't see any markers mark. The hinge and spring are secure with no play. It doesn't have a monogram. Set of antique knives in Original Box. These appear to be sterling silver- I believe called a pate or butter knife. These are hand forged- with slight differences in size and pattern. The handles are mother of pearl. They are in original antique silk lined box. There are slots for 6 knives. There are only 5 knives in the box. These were tested using a magnet and they are not magnetic; which is one positive sign of it being sterling silver. If it were magnetic it would be most likely not silver. They do not show any areas of plating worn down. Which is common in silver plated items. This leads me to believe this is not plated and these polished nicely. No makers marks. It is not uncommon that items more than 500 years old will not have makers marks. They measure about 6 to 6 1/4 inch long. Lovely old cutlery set On offer is this truly delightful four piece cutlery set consisting of a pickle fork. A bread knife, a fish serving fork and a sugar sifter spoon. All items are in really good condition overall. The silver plating shines up beautifully still with no signs of wear or damage over the pieces. The bread knife has one serrated edge and has a lovely engraved floral pattern on one side of the blade. The pickle fork has a textured effect on the front which gives the impression of reptile skin- certainly adds a decorative look. The fish fork on the front has an engraving of a fish and foliage and the sugar spoon is plain in design. They each share the same silver plated collar design which has rope like rims adding to the quality look. Welcome to my auction for this little 6" double handled urn shaped vase. It measures 3.5" across the opening and the inside of the vase is an irridescent ivory glaze. The widest part of the vase is about 4" It is stamped on the bottom Pearl China Co. Hand decorated 22 KT Gold U.S.A. and is in excellent condition. The overall design is an etched mini floral. There is little to no wear on the overall gold on the outside. A lovely vase!

Thanks for looking. You are bidding on a set of six. Mother of pearl handled, knifes. On the blade it reads, 1857 A.S. Co. world brand 16. I don't know much about them so please refer to photos or ask questions and I will do my best to answer them. They look vey old and are very beautiful but do need cleaned.
