Up for bid is a figural antique gilded steel owl scissors. Kullenberg Germany,Registered. This was originally gold plated, most of which has worn away. It measures approximately 7" long. For sale: Antique vintage Figural Celluloid Tape Measure molded Fruit Basket. The piece is small measuring just under 1 3/4 inches wide. The tape has some wear but still has the end ring. The cloth is worn and some numbers are hard to read. There is color fading and age wear. If you look close you can see a ling that goes all the way around the basket part. This looks like a crack. I don't believe it is. It is not cracked and you can not like put a finger nail into it. It's more tight and sealed. I think it was a mold flaw or maybe a seem where the tape went inside. Thanks. Meg

It is in the form of a thistle blossom and is one I've never seen before. The silk tape is marked in inches and i t winds in by turning the bone* spindle on top. It is in excellent working condition and i t measures 2" high including the spindle. The base is slightly over 3/4" in diameter. It was bought in England. Vegetable ivory comes from the corozo or tagua nut of a South American palm tree and was a favorite with the Victorians. It has the hardness and texture of ivory and a warm honey color. The little spots and ivory like grain are also natural features of this material. This item is made of bone from a domestic cow(bovine) and not from an endangered species. Antique Victorian Gilded Brass Carriage Coronation Coach Figural Tape Measure
Little antique coronation coach tape measure. Circa 1870-1900. Gilded brass with yellowish tinted windows. The crank on top turns to retract the tape. Tape is all original. But ripped 1 inch in. Extra inch of tape will be included for repair. The metal end of tape is missing, so there is nothing to prevent full retraction of tape inside coach. One of the two window pieces have a crack/missing piece. Rear wheel assembly slightly bent. I'll leave that to buyer. This is a great find! VERY RARE. Great rare vintage figural sewing tape measure. This bird- Shaped holder looks like a kookaburra. It has a cloth tape measure with a round metal end that comes out from beneath the bird’s tail. The kookaburra has quite a lot of detail in his painted metal body. The piece has some paint loss(see our pictures. On the underneath part of the tail you can make out faintly“ Germany” embossed in the metal. He stand proudly at 2 ¾ inches tall and is about 3 ½ inches from beak to tail. It is in excellent condition with no dents. Loss or other damage. The finely woven tape is original and complete. It is marked in inches and is 60" long. The brass winder handle on top winds the tape back in and it works perfectly. I am disposing of my Great Aunts' estate and will be selling several really nice items from this estate over the next several months. Here is a very old sewing tape measure. It is metal and shaped like an iron. The handle appears to be bone. It has a rewinding handle on the end. I did not unwind it fully as it is fragile. As you can see, 1-inch is missing, there is no other damage. I think it is from Germany as that is where my Aunt's family was from. It measures 2-inches long. A nice addition for your collection.
