Small mouth, molded and painted eyebrows and cute intaglio, side-glancing eyes. She also has lots of dark brown, molded and painted curly hair peaking out from her wrapped and tied red bandana as wll as a striped red and white shirt collar. The tape measure is clearly stamped: Germany and works perfectly. She has no damages or cracks, no nicks or damages and no repairs. She'll make a great addition to any American a collection. Great rare vintage figural sewing tape measure. This bird- Shaped holder looks like a kookaburra. It has a cloth tape measure with a round metal end that comes out from beneath the bird’s tail. The kookaburra has quite a lot of detail in his painted metal body. The piece has some paint loss(see our pictures. On the underneath part of the tail you can make out faintly“ Germany” embossed in the metal. He stand proudly at 2 ¾ inches tall and is about 3 ½ inches from beak to tail. This outstanding pair of scissors was made by HYANE of Solingen. Germany and dates to the 1890s. On both sides are busts of what may be Kaiser Wilhelm and his wife. Augusta. Antique Sewing Figural Tape Measure German Porcelain Lovely!
For your consideration is a very lovey antique figural sewing tape measure made in Germany. Man standing on a base with bouquets in each arm. Excellent quality. Stands 4 1/2" tall and is 1 3/4" wide at the base. NO chips. Cracks, crazing or repairs. The tape does work but a bit slow to retract. This is very, very old. This is marked GERMANY with the numbers 5209 on the back of the base. An adorable German tape measure in excellent condition. Shipping will be $8.00 and includes insurance. Thank you.

Antique Figural Sewing Tape Measure, Ship with Crosses, German Celluloid
This is a German celluloid tape measure in the form of a ship with crosses on the top flags. A similar one is pictured on page 111 of Collecting Figural Tape Measures but it is incorrectly attributed to being made in Japan. This is clearly stamped Germany on the underside of the tape. The tape pulls out fine but has to be gently pushed back in. There are no chips or cracks. Powered by
