Supposedly this thing can fix zippers. I don't know how and I don't claim that it works. However the box says it does. There is no date on the box that I can find but there is a patent number of 2579207 if you wanted to look it up. The tool itself is made of metal and the box is cardboard. The box is in fair condition with clear masking tape on one side and no flap on the other. Fantastic advertising! The tool is in good condition with obvious rust. This is a vintage celluloid advertising tape measure. Patent date 1919. It advertises Harford Frocks, Inc. The measure is 1 inch in diameter, and about 1" 1/3" On the back it reads"Over 20 years style service in the home. Cincinnati 25, Ohio. SOLD ONLY THROUGH AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVES. On the side edge is printed"House of Novelties, Cincinnati, O. P.H. Co. Chgo. Pat.7-10-17, 11-4-19. The condition is very good. No damage, and the piece is clean, with good color. The tape measure is a petite 1-7/16" in diameter with a graphic of a box of FAB on one side and"Measure all other Flakes by the FAB standard. Safely washes fine fabrics. Colgate& Co. New York" on the other. Yellow cloth measuring tape with metal end that extends outside the case. I have only extended this to the 1" mark because it is no doubt fragile. It does spring right back into the case. There are 2 dates printed on the inner lip of the case: Pat. 7-10-17. 11-4-19, Parisian Novelty Co. Chicago.
